I cannot recommend Alyssa highly enough!! When my husband and I purchased a condo in Lincoln Park, we wanted our new home to look amazing, but neither of us knew how to buy beautiful, durable, and stylish furniture and how to decorate the home in a way that we would like. We had also never worked with an interior designer before, and were worried it wouldn’t be affordable. We reached out to Alyssa, and she immediately helped us better understand the interior design process and was able to start working with us as soon as we were ready. Alyssa measured all of the spaces she was helping us with; created mood boards; created 3D virtual designs; and created a Pinterest board to help us get a sense of what our space could look like. Alyssa has incredible taste, and can work in any price range and can source from nearly any store—when we were comfortable spending more on particular items, Alyssa would find some of the most incredible items available; when we wanted to save on particular items, she would find treasures at very affordable places. She also gets us discounts on almost everything she recommends purchasing! My husband and I are in love with all of our furniture items, and the décor Alyssa found truly made our house a home. Every time someone comes to our home or sees pictures of our home, we get SO many compliments! Another thing that’s unique about Alyssa is that she’s an artist, and can create custom art pieces, which are spectacular. My husband and I were so surprised with how affordable Alyssa is – for both her hourly rate and her art. Honestly, we think Alyssa is truly a bargain. On a more personal note – I was recently diagnosed with cancer while we were working with Alyssa, and Alyssa had one of the most empathic responses I have received, and even brought over incredible homemade vegetarian food to my home to help me recover from chemo. So, after working with Alyssa for over six months now, I am not only extremely impressed with her skills, but am in awe of her person and character.

I hired Alyssa mid-pandemic last year to help transform my small apartment into a nice, peaceful place I could work out of. After WFH became a more permanent situation, I wanted to make sure I had a simple, but cozy working environment on a budget - and Alyssa delivered just that! Because I am a renter, I could not make major, permanent improvements to the place, but Alyssa found a way to make the apartment look completely brand new with vinyl flooring, paint, furniture and decor. Even with the design process being entirely virtual (and I an out of state client), she was very responsive and listened to my ideas and concerns throughout the process. After a few months of planning, sourcing and executing, I finally have a finished apartment! A modern and esthetically pleasing design, I am extremely happy with the way the whole project turned out! I can’t thank Alyssa enough for her artistic eye and love for design - it truly shows in her work. Plus, she is super easy-going and a perfectionist! I would undoubtedly hire her again for future projects.

Alyssa Ray is an incredibly talented designer who can transform your space into something beyond your imagination. Using digital tools such as Pinterest, FaceTime, and Email, she was able to design my entire home office without ever meeting with me face-to-face due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She was incredibly responsive and easy to work with throughout the entire project. Toward the very end, when a custom-made desk that she designed was installed, Alyssa noticed some imperfections in a photo that I shared with her. She immediately contacted the carpenter to convey her dissatisfaction, and fought to ensure that the custom installation was perfect. I absolutely love the end result of my home office designed by Alyssa Ray, and I would work with her again in a heartbeat! She is exceptional!

Alyssa has been great to work with, from the design process to the shopping assistance to those details that make a room feel special. I'm very happy that I asked her to do the sourcing for me. I was a little unsure about the process but Alyssa was reassuring and considerate of my budget. I would definitely work with her again.

I've had a great experience working with Alyssa on the interior design of my husband and I's new apartment. We just moved from abroad, and needed to tie in both our old furniture & decor with some key new pieces as well as match our eclectic/bohemian style with a modern apartment. Alyssa really helped bring it all together, and chose some amazing pieces that we fell in love with. There's no way we could have done it without her help.

Alyssa is super easy to work with. She is thorough and patient in understanding your project goals. She is creative with her ideas and sourcing. She helped me decorate four rooms in our house and created a cohesive vibe without being matchy matchy. I really liked how and where she sourced items from and she’s very responsive.
