Archadeck of Nova Scotia

We recently had a new deck installed with Archadeck, and we are very pleased with the results. We were looking for a simple, straightforward deck design for an 11’ x 11’ deck with a privacy screen on one side. We were aware of the possibility that there might be water damage to the house under the siding, and we wanted to go with a company experienced with more complicated renovations in case they had to repair any water damage to the house. We decided to go with Archadeck, even though they had the highest quote, and we were not disappointed. There was good communication from the start. An app kept us updated daily on the progress with a written log and photos. There was a dedicated project manager, and two carpenters on site everyday who saw the project through from start to finish. Additional people were involved as needed. A schedule was set and updated throughout the demolition and construction when it changed for any reason. The two main carpenters did an excellent job with constructing the new deck and repairing the water damage on the house that was found when the old deck was demolished (fortunately it was minor). They were very responsive to any concerns or questions, and were very considerate towards our neighbours. (We live in a middle townhouse, so the construction involved moving machinery and materials through our neighbours’ yards.) We now have a deck that feels safe and cosy. We look forward to enjoying it for many years to come.

We are thrilled to have our new deck and can’t say enough about our experience with Archadeck. From initial concept, through design and construction, we were walked through options, had clear explanations, suggestions and costs, great digital renderings as well as drawings, all easily accessible digitally. The project manager walked through the entire construction plan, answered lots of questions and gracefully handled a few unplanned changes! The job was on time and budget with amazing quality work. Vents had to be relocated along with exterior plumbing which was done neatly and quickly. Siding needed to be fixed, which was also handled. Most of all, the deck exceeds our expectations - the choice and quality of wood, balusters, and a railing I already love to lean on - it is exactly what we wanted. All the details were taken care of: a super solid gate for storage underneath, levelling out soil, and spotless clean-up. We were even left with a brush and some wood preservative just in case! We want to thank the Archadeck team for taking such good care of us - I wholeheartedly recommend them!

From the very outset until conclusion of the project, Archadeck demonstrated exceptional professionalism. The result was we now have a stunning two-level back deck, with covered cooking area, privacy walls with adjustable slats, a beautiful pergola (that goes over our new hot tub), and a lovely path leading to our new sauna (as well as the base the sauna sits on). We just had our deck replaced by Archadeck. We are extremely happy with the finished result. This company was easy to work with from start to finish. They addressed all of our concerns and made our dream come to life. I loved how they created 3D designs of what we had in mind with a few options to choose from. They worked with our Hot Tub company to ensure the correct dimensions and built an extremely solid platform. We cannot wait to furnish this new oasis and enjoy this space. We recently had our front entry deck, roof columns, and a large back deck built by Archadeck and they did a wonderful job! We weren't sure about the final design and materials, but the team gave us lots of options and helped us every step of the way. We’re especially excited about the low-maintenance materials they recommended. The carpenters were polite, professional, and a pleasure to work with. We were impressed by the project management throughout, especially with us being out of province for periods of time during construction. The team kept us updated with plenty of photos, ensuring everything was on track. We highly recommend this company for any outdoor living projects!

We went to Archadeck with the idea of replacing our aging front porch with a screened in version. The plan they proposed transformed our entire home. It is above and beyond anything we originally imagined while still retaining a simplicity of design that suits us. We couldn't be happier with the final result. The construction craftsmanship was excellent. The crew obviously took pride in their work and kept us well informed; we felt that they were working hard to make something that would please us. On a few design items we changed our minds mid stream and the crew chief ironed out the details and made it happen.They respected our small property and dirt road. They worked hard Mon-Fri and were always cheerful and helpful. The end result is a 3-season, glassed-in addition that has been fully insulated, with a full open porch on top. Two more large windows and an 8 ft glass sliding door connect everything to our home. We have a large scattered family and now there is room for everyone. Archadeck may be more expensive than some other options. We wrestled with this but decided to go all in. Now, in seeing the design, the quality of materials, the excellent management, communication and workmanship , we know we made the best choice for our renovation! Thank you Archadeck!

We had a great experience with Archadeck for our front porch. We took comfort knowing that all bases were covered (i.e. permits and inspection). We loved seeing the digital rendering of our project and we actually think that seeing our project before it was started prompted to make changes that we wouldn't have made otherwise! They were respectful of our property and that of our neighbours. We wouldn't hesitate to hire them again for another project.

We are so delighted with our new deck! When I think of last year, a snow like we have just had would have demolished the deck we had! I love the cupboard under the enlarged deck which the carpenter suggested & the lift up door to dispose of snow outside a basement door was ingenious! Thanks so much! Heather Cook

We had the folks from Archadeck come and install a metal railing on the front step and stairs of our house, and from beginning to end it was a pleasant experience. When we called and made an appointment with Archadeck the Sales Representative that visited us was very prompt and courteous, and did an excellent job explaining the various options that could meet our needs.. When we visited the Archadeck deck office, to discuss their recommendations and the detailed project plan once again the Sales Representative that looked after us did an excellent job explaining the detailed project plan, and exactly what we could expect. Finally the people that executed the detailed project plan were very professional, and did an excellent job carrying out our railing installation. We are extremely happy!!
