My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Arete Kitchens + Closets is an Austin-based design studio and showroom specializing in the design, supply and installation of premium modern kitchens, bespoke closets, and complementary wood interiors that connect kitchen, dining and living in beautiful and functional harmony. Design specialists and importers of German-made LEICHT cabinetry and Italian-made MisuraEmme closets and wardrobes. Locally owned and operated in Austin since 1999. We recently had Arete Kitchens design and build us a new kitchen and primary bathroom. We are so pleased with the results and impressed by how professional everyone on their team was. From the beginning, they made sure all of our super-picky details were taken care of, whether it was a wood type or a drawer mat or a shelf support. We met with them multiple times and ended up with a beautiful design for both rooms. It does take awhile to get the components from Europe, but we are thrilled with the result. The installation team was truly top-notch. I have never met such professional, detail-oriented, pleasant people who completely understood our need to have everything exactly lined up and perfectly spaced. They were always on time and on the ball. I would highly recommend everyone at Arete Kitchens for your kitchen, closet or bath. They did a fantastic job!

We hired Arete for our kitchen cabinets and appliances. We worked with Stacey and she was a very good resource and a pleasure to work with. Their estimate was for 3 month turnaround from the time of order. It ultimately took 2 years (!!!) to finalize the project as we went through several iterations of defective parts. In addition, they made several errors with the design that costed us an additional $3K that we paid in order to keep the project moving. In addition to the above it was really unpleasant dealing with their principal, Tom, at the end of the project. He certainly blew it. We sure wouldn't give our business to him ever again.

Custom grain-matched wood veneer reorders, unfortunately, and inevitably, take time to precisely re-craft. Morgan at arete deserves a five star rating or more. She is very detail oriented, has great design sense and is a pleasure to work with. The cabinets are beautiful and very functional. They came in months before the other locally built custom cabinets we purchased for our home. We have been extremely satisfied and have recommended Morgan and Arete to friends.

Arete European kitchens was an integral part of the interior design team for our new home. They worked closely with us, our architect and builder to help design our kitchen and bathroom cabinets. They were extremely PATIENT - I mean really really PATIENT - and professional through the entire the process. It took us atleast 5 revisions (some of them complete redesigns) of the kitchen over a period of 1.5 years before we settled on a concept that worked for us. i would highly recommend Tom for his design skills and attention to detail. Not only was the final design aesthetically pleasing, but it is extremely functional - i.e well thought out to support our kitchen habits and cooking style.

We worked with Arete to remodel our kitchen with Alno cabinets and state of the art appliances. Tom and Morgan spent countless hours with us to design our plans and make changes at our whims. During this phase, they even prepared gourmet lunches for us! They provided regular quality checks during the installation and have made themselves available for any concerns since. 2 1/2 years later, it still looks brand new. We love it and have since worked with them on a laundry room and adjacent powder room. We will also work with them on two additional bathrooms. We are completely satisfied customers and highly recommend Arete.

Great European Kitchens!! We worked with Arete for a kitchen project in West lake hills. They are a pleasure to work with, very professional and gave great attention to detail. The clients loved the final result. We would work with them again in the future and highly recommend them!
