My husband and I bought our house knowing it needed a remodel. We started with contractor that my husband had worked with many times before. Unfortunately, the work done by him and his subs was terrible. I called Andy and he rescued our home. He turned our outdated 1970s home into a modern/ contemporary, one of a kind masterpiece. Andy is professional yet down to earth. His sub contractors do impeccable work. The service provided to us was beyond expectations. And trust me, we had high expectations. Everything in our house is custom. Andy was with us at every step. He treated us as if we were his only clients. Despite delays due to Covid our house was finished on time. Choosing a builder for our whole home remodel and addition was one of the biggest decisions we have ever made. After careful consideration of several builders, it was clear the Schrader and Companies was the best fit for us. Andy Schrader truly listened to our concerns about designing our home to fit the functionality and needs of our young family without forsaking the esthetics we desired. Andy also worked with us to integrate our dream of adding a sport court to our home, something we thought was an impossibility with our current layout. The scope of the project was large, yet Schrader and Companies worked with us to make it the least impactful to us as possible. Our desire was to stay in our home as allowed; their team even partitioned off parts of our home for living quarters. They made sure the job site was clean and safe for our family throughout the process. Project manager Brody kept everything running smoothly and on time throughout the project. We need to complete this review by highlighting the exceptional quality that Schrader and Companies deliver. Andy, his subcontractors, and designer, all of whom felt like family by the end of the project, are absolutely meticulous! Our home looks like something out of a magazine. The craftsmanship, functionality, and beauty is beyond what we imagined. We are so happy that we made this investment into our home and would recommend Schrader and Companies to anyone considering a renovation or new construction.

Schrader & Companies is not the cheapest but you truly get even more than you paid for. In June I began a total remodel of my home including taking down walls, removing all the flooring, gutting the two bathrooms and the kitchen. Andy Schrader and his remarkable team not only completed the project on time, they completed it earlier than initially projected, and did it to perfection. No one can believe that I was able to move back into my home in less than three months. I even held up some project starts because I was not able to make decisions on color or design and every time, Andy and his team were able to accommodate the delay and still keep the timeframe on track. Since moving back in, I am excited every morning to wake to my new home! I would not hesitate to recommend Schrader and Companies to do your project. You may pay a bit more but he and his company are worth every penny and you will get perfection!

I have worked with Andy for 12 plus years now and I'm still amazed how he turns an average home or project into something that everybody marvels at. We hired Schrader and Companies to do a major home remodel. The project started in May 2015 and finished in December 2015. We'd never remodeled a home before so didn't know what to expect. The experience, from the very beginning, was fantastic. Andy and his team operate through transparency, making sure we were in the know on everything. Any small set backs were always resolved smoothly. They listened to us and guided us through the entire process to ensure the end result was what we wanted. The whole team has tremendous integrity and they deliver top notch results. They built our dream home and we'd do it all over again.

We were looking for a design-build firm that we could work closely with on what we characterized as our "art project". Our experience with Andy and his team was outstanding at every turn. Creatively Andy is a visionary, listening to our ideas and evolving and exceeding our vision not only in the house he designed on paper but also during the construction phase presenting opportunities and ideas along the way. Schrader & Companies provides outstanding design combined with wonderful crafts people to bring the project to life. Add to it transparent budgeting, honest and honorable working relationships and you have a builder who is truly outstanding.

Andy was professional and worked diligently on a tear down and reconstruction. Communication was excellent throughout the whole project. We kept everything close inline with original budget. This project was in excess of $1,000,000.

We remodeled a house we had acquired in Edina in two phases. The first phase covered the downstairs and involved: replacing carpets, walls, flooring in the downstairs kitchen, ceiling in the downstairs kitchen, and painting throughout. This took place while we still lived in California. The second phase, which started about 4 months after the first phase was complete and which took place after we had moved into the recently completed downstairs involved: replacing upstairs floor (carpet to hardwood), most of the upstairs kitchen, changing one wall, all interior doors, and painting throughout. Schrader was on schedule and on budget throughout. Change orders were minimal. The workmanship was excellent. They also were sensitive to keeping the house clean and keeping us informed of scheduling changes which might affect us since we were either living downstairs or out of state. Their taste and judgement in recommending alternative solutions is likewise excellent. We have one potential problem with the hardwood floors that has developed after construction was complete, and they have said they will fix the problem if it persists into the Springtime. We highly recommend them.

Andy Schrader and team are completing a renovation on the original house they built in Edina - we are adding a sport court, kids' play/art room, an exercise room, and a mother-in-law suite. They are an absolute pleasure to work with - they are detail oriented, extremely polite and professional, respectful and responsive, and do nothing but the highest quality work. They built a beautiful house originally and now are working hard to ensure the addition looks the same and blends right in. We are thrilled with their work and the partnership with have with them. It is very easy to recommend Schrader & Companies for anyone looking to build a high-end, custom home or add onto an existing house....they are fantastic!
