I have worked with Annie for the last 5 years in transforming my Brookline Condo, one room at a time. Annie has unique ideas, is creative, resourceful, and has excellent follow through. We hired Annie to design and manage a complete gut job of our mid-century modern home which was originally dark and uncomfortable. I don’t exaggerate when I say she transformed our home into a space that you never want to leave. And she even made the process itself enjoyable. I have worked with several designers over the years and Annie is in a class by herself. She is extremely creative, and generated a vision for the space that was both efficient and completely gorgeous. In addition to her unparalleled design skills, she is also an immensely competent project manager—she provide us with a realistic sense of the budget (the total cost of all goods and services topped $370K), and timeline needed for our project. She was also able to fill in the gaps left by my contractor by providing sub-contractors where needed. And, thanks to her critical thinking skills and attentiveness, we avoided several construction crises which were going unnoticed by other workers. She even went to bat for us and helped secure discounts when we did encounter the inevitable hiccups along the way. She was our hero more than once throughout this huge undertaking. She also happens to be a very caring and fun person, of the highest integrity, so we had the added benefit of enjoying her company on a personal level. We’ll definitely hire her again and recommend her highly to all others.

I hired Annie to help with the renovation and interior design of my historic Victorian house in Somerville. This included the complete renovation & design of an unfinished attic into a bedroom suite with bathroom. Throughout the project Annie was personable, patient and informative while presenting creative and innovative ideas for our house. I wanted to work with and retain the historic charm while also adding a more modern feel. Annie was able to bridge the gap between my design interests and the constraints of a historic home. She pushed me out of my comfort zone and I am thrilled with the results.

Annie's excellent sensibilities and attentiveness to practical issues and owner preferences helped us create the modern home we wanted, one that is also warm and comfortable. She has a good balance of assertive skills and receptivity, and developed the project from the bottom up so that it is particularly suited to our individual home/style. She was very flexible with meeting times and responsive to schedules. The project included painting, wallpaper, lighting, furniture and rug selection for all the rooms in our 2-bedroom home.

Working with Annie Hall was a very positive experience. She had suggestions we would never have thought of ourselves that were very helpful. She always came with a a good selection of choices but not too many as to be confusing. We appreciated that she was careful to continuously get our input along the way. All the contractors were professional, punctual and tidy and held themselves up to high standards. Annie clearly has very good working relationships with them. The custom pieces she designed are of exceptional quality and her decorating choices, the details, really transformed our house. We are so happy with all of it.

I have been a professional drapery installer in the Boston area for over 35 years, I have worked with Annie Hall for the last 3 or so. Annie has become one of my favorite designers to work with for her professionalism, attention to detail, and the quality of her work and design. The project we just completed was loaded with challenges, but she met them all with her clients interest and satisfaction first and foremost. I met with her client today and she told me how happy she was with everything we had done. One of the things that I value in a designer is the relationships they build with their clients, and Annie does just that. I have only positives to say about her.

I had a wonderful experience with Annie. My husband and I bought our first house recently, which we loved, but the colors were horrible. I hired Annie to consult on paint colors. Annie went through my entire house with me, providing feedback on colors. She has an impeccable eye and was also very responsive to my taste. We have had a chance to repaint the first floor so far, and the results are magnificent. It's a whole different house! I'm looking forward to completing the painting, and then bringing Annie back to help with decorating!

We worked with Annie during a major renovation of our circa-1880 Queen Anne house in Cambridge, MA. Annie helped us with furniture, oriental rugs, fabrics, paint colors, and wallpapers -- she also acted as a trusted adviser for other design questions as we worked with our architect & our contractor. As a result, we could not be happier in our "new" home! Since the renovation, we have done some follow-on projects with Annie: * designed a built-in china cabinet for the dining room and arranged for a custom cabinet maker to build & install it (our contractor complimented us on how well it blended into the custom moldings he had done during the major renovation); * re-upholstering our dining room chairs; * consulting on new carpet runners for the stairs. Annie has a very good eye, and collaborated with us to find pieces and make design choices that worked within our budget.

We hired Annie to design and decorate a Master Bedroom Suite and to consult on interior decor for our living room, family room and dining areas in our 100 year old English Tudor home. It was a pleasure to work with Annie. She met with us and took the time to develop a plan that not only reflected our personal taste and budget but also incorporated her own ideas into the plans, creating a classic look that holds true to the age and character of our home. We are very happy with the results that Annie achieved. Our family and friends are in awe of the transformation. Annie is a great person, very creative and easy to work with.

I hired Annie for interior design of my small Cambridge home. I really didn't think it could be beautiful and sophisticated given the challenges of the small spaces, awkward room shapes and the need to accommodate a huge dog. Her solutions are pure genius!! The resulting design is highly livable and dog friendly, but is also polished and distinctive. While a talented and creative designer, Annie is also a consummate professional and a pleasure to work with. She is organized, dependable, timely, and communicates clearly and promptly. I found her to be especially talented in walking the fine line of truly listening to my needs, wants and ideas, but also helping me evolve my tastes and consider options that were at the boundaries of my comfort zone. I feel I grew in this collaborative process. She never pushes or dictates choices. Her work is truly brilliant.

Annie helped me conceptualize space in several rooms and came up with creative ideas to use it better and make it beautiful. Her calm respectful presence and great sense of style were evident immediately. As our project unfolded I was continually impressed by the way she stayed on top of the myriad details and followed through on all aspects. We are very happy with the finished product.
