I partnered with Atlanta Porch and Patio to bring my dream screened porch to life, and the final result is exactly what I had envisioned. The design is stunning, and the craftsmanship is top-notch. I’ve already spent countless hours enjoying the space, and I know it will be my go-to spot for relaxing at home. That said, the process took time and involved several challenges—mainly related to permitting. As this was my first construction project, I wasn’t familiar with county requirements and approval timelines. In my case, I had to apply for a zoning variance through Unincorporated DeKalb County—a process that took several months—on top of waiting nearly four months for the building permit itself. Fortunately, Atlanta P&P handled the building permit portion, but as the homeowner, I had to manage the zoning variance process directly. It was often slow and frustrating. One piece of advice I’d offer: if you don’t already have a land survey, consider getting one before signing a contract. It will help uncover any potential obstacles early on, so you can make a fully informed decision before committing financially. The porch was absolutely worth the effort in the end, but there’s no guarantee your variance request will be approved if you require one —especially if you're asking for a substantial setback reduction, as I was. Communication with the builder required some follow-up on my part during the project, but overall, it was a positive experience. Given the exceptional quality and execution of the design, I highly recommend Atlanta Porch and Patio to others.

I had a great experience working with Atlanta Porch and Patio. Everyone was very professional and the project was completed quickly. I contacted APP after speaking with 2 other companies. The previous deck (photo attached) was so ugly and uneven that I didn’t know what could be done with it. Thankfully, the design person at Atlanta Porch and Patio had a vison for it that I couldn’t even imagine when it was being described. Now I have a patio that is both fun and functional year-round. And they stayed within my budget!

Update on issues and review score given APP's (eventual) remediation steps: APP came out in May and replaced the cumaru wood that was damaged and also corrected a subtle installation issue they did not like. It took longer than I expected, but they did correct the installation mistake. Regarding the railing design, the core issue was an inability to pass inspection. APP finally came out this week and installed the necessarily railings that should pass county inspection, and I am hopeful this will be completed with the county next week. *** First time I have ever written a 1 star review for a contractor, but Atlanta Porch and Patio (APP) has more than earned the distinction. My wife and I engaged APP in Mar 2024 to do a deck replacement for my rear deck that had completely rotted appx 18x36. We chose to upgrade to TimberTech, cable rails and a privacy wall and add ons with brazilian cumaru hardwood, so this was not a low cost effort. We were originally promised to start in July, but did not end up starting until late September. The design was solid, but construction has been less than smooth. I'll skip over the small issues discovered in construction, but will focus on the two main points of contention that have us still trying to get final product that will pass inspection, 8 months after they started the project. Our current state as of April 22, 2025, is that we have been left with a design that will not pass county inspection and 75% or so of the brazilian cumaru wood is damaged beyond repair from flawed installation techniques (installers used non-galvanized tach nails and stained nearly every piece of wood). I notified the company in the first week of Feb that the wood was damaged, and after debating the reason for weeks, finally got them to acknowledge it was the nails. I believe it was March when the company suggested they simply cover the damaged wood with strips of PVC, which was just completely unacceptable given the scale of damage. I understand projects encounter issues, but what has really blown me away is the cavalier, "customer must be wrong" attitude the APP team has had. I had to escalate to the company 'manager' who was the first person to even acknowledge that it was a APP installation mistake and that they should be replaced -and even then despite a pretty friendly call, the manager failed to follow up with a text or phone call as promised. APP does good designs, but I would caution anyone using them to recognize that you will have to GC the project pretty closely to ensure you are getting the quality outcome they promise and that you would expect for their price point. When things go wrong, they lean into it being a customer problem to solve which may be manageable, but at their price point I would expect a different approach, so beware of what you are getting.

They redid my covered patio, all new wood and screens. They guided us and were patient with our decision making progress. I recommend using them.

Our deck is our sanctuary and Atlanta Porch and Patio worked with us to get us what we wanted. While other contractors we contacted wanted to tear down and rebuild our sunroom that partially covered the deck, Atlanta Porch and Patio were able to reframe it which allowed the space to open up. We love our new deck and look forward to several years of enjoyment.

We are very pleased with our new outdoor patio shed roof and extended paver patio. Judy and her multiple crews, including roofers, electricians, masons, and gutter specialists, were professional, detailed, and responsive. We were especially pleased how they cleaned up at the end of each working day. Judy was an excellent resource as well. She has an exceptionally fine eye for design, function and detail. I know with the times we live in now, getting an honest human being to show up when they say they are going to, communicate like you want, and actually meet the high standards you want is tough, but Atlanta Porch and Patio is THAT company to call! Do NOT hesitate! Super impressed!!

Atlanta Porch and Patio design a porch on the back of our house. We used to have a concrete patio that we never used. Now we have a large open outdoor living room with a fireplace and we spend a lot of time with our family there. Great experience from start to finish - They really helped us shape our ideas (or really lack of!!) during the design process and then built it on schedule. Would definitely use them in the future.

I had a somewhat poor experience with Atlanta Porch & Patio. My project was completed 2 years ago, and since completion we've had broken doors, water entering our screened in porch, boards that are warped and broken, lights that weren't installed correctly that have broken, and cracked brick. After reaching out to the company to see if anyone could repair these items multiple times, no one responded. Additionally, our deck that we had built (2 stories, top deck is a Trex deck and bottom is screened in porch) is slanted at a severe angle that is both noticeable and a bit dangerous when it rains. If we didn't pay attention and ask them to re-do the bottom porch, that would've been slanted as well but thank goodness we noticed it first (we didn't notice the top unfortunately). All to say, we had a poor experience here.

This project started off on the right foot with meeting Judy (project manager), she set clear expectations from the beginning and always made herself available for our questions. What set Atlanta Porch and Patio apart from other companies? They hold themselves to a higher standard, they build to California building standards and that all starts at the top with the CEO Sol. Sol is invested in each project and came out to see the progress where I got to meet him, and he is a great leader with high standards for his company and his team members. It was mentioned by each inspector, “You know they didn’t have to do this, this is overkill.” Which made me feel better about choosing Atlanta Porch and Patio. We extended our patio to run the back side of our house and added a 14 x 19 3 season room with vinyl windows. We added 2 skylights and used ply bead for the ceiling and used a clear poly finish. We upgraded the door to be an 8 ft door to match out 8 ft sliding glass doors into the space. The results turned out amazing and some of the comments from my neighbors, “This room looks like it was built with the house.” We are super happy with the room and the quality of work and again Judy, she was amazing throughout this process and was there every step of the way!! I would HIGHLY recommend Atlanta Porch and Patio. Great Quality, Great Value, Great People, High Standards!

We live in Alpharetta and are just wrapping up construction on our outdoor covered porch with Atlanta Porch and Patio. I could not be happier. It is even better than I imagined it would be! The space is beautiful. It is so warm and inviting that we want to be out there all the time. The construction is solid, build to standards that are even more rigorous than required by Georgia. Their finishing touches make the difference. The wood for the flooring and handrails is made of Cumaru, a Brazilian hardwood, that is laid at an angle and is absolutely stunning! The stonework on the fireplace is amazing, built by very skilled masons. Our Project Manager, Judy, is responsive and easy to work with. She helped us to design the space to fit our needs, and coordinated all the many workers and supplies that were required: building materials, fireplace, painters, roofing, stonework, gutters, etc. The project did get off to a late start initially and we had a few delays due to weather and holidays, but it was well worth the wait. Judy, Sol, and their team are very professional and provide such quality work. I highly recommend them!

David and his team did a beautiful job constructing our screened in deck with vinyl windows. We are so grateful for his beautiful design and willingness to work with our own particular desires for the deck we've been dreaming of. It was so wonderful how they were able to manage all the parts despite the tricky small driveway. The front office also was also a gem to work with as they always would check up on project updates and keep me in the loop regarding permits. I would recommend this company to others looking to have a well-made deck that is of sound construction and beautiful design.

Judy took our input and designed a porch that is exactly what we wanted while staying in our budget. They were backlogged a few months but once the team started they completed the work quickly and built a beautiful porch. Judy was very responsive to our questions and the owner Sol even came out to clean up some leftover scraps. This photo is before paint and while it is raining but will give you an idea what the cumaru decking looks like.

We had a great experience with atlanta porch and patio! They demo'd our sad small deck, handled all permitting, and built a beautiful covered/screened-in porch as well as a grilling deck with composite wood. They also installed underdecking underneath that looks amazing!

AP&P demoed my cracked/damaged concrete patio and installed an elevated paver patio with a slight retaining wall. Judy, the project mgr, was always very responsive to my questions and the project only took a couple days, from start to finish!

Atlanta Porch and Patio just concluded construction on our beautiful new front porch. We are so pleased with how it turned out and each crew involved was so meticulous, you can tell the quality is above and beyond! They worked well within our very particular city permitting process, and we also needed to use permeable pavers for our walkway, which looks incredible. The only downside for us was the lead time. They are in demand (and rightly so!), and supply chain issues probably played a role, so we had to wait 10-11 months before they could start. But it was well worth the wait! Highly recommend.

Atlanta Porch and Patio just finished a complete rebuild of our original builder-grade deck. They added a beautiful screened porch off our kitchen with a stone patio/outdoor kitchen beneath. Sol and his team made us feel at ease through the entire process, and the few problems that arose were taken care of immediately. Not only were they the most cost effective of the quotes we received, but the quality of their work is top notch. We repeatedly had inspectors tell us how good their workmanship was and that they were going above code requirements. I would use them again in a second.

My wife and I hired Atlanta Porch and Patio to re-do our deck, which was falling apart and install a patio over a portion of the deck. After talking with other contractors, we didn't think the patio would be within our budget, but Atlanta Porch and Patio made it work - and it turned out even better than I thought it would. While the process took a bit longer than I think we and they would have liked (scheduling things is incredibly tough nowadays), I was happy with their responsiveness and the guidance they provided. In the few instances there were problems, which were pretty minor, Sol would have them corrected immediate - with never any pushback. If I had to do it over again, I would re-hire AP&P in a sec.

We are extremely happy with our new patio. Atlanta Porch & Patio demo’d our dated solarium, made all repairs to our home and installed a beautiful patio. The company is efficient, prompt and affordable. We highly recommend this company. The owner was very personable and offered helpful suggestions in aiding in our decisions regarding the project details.

From the very beginning to the very end of the whole process I felt like I was being heard and my needs addressed. Communication was open and I always knew where in the process everything stood. Every person I interacted with was genuine, nice, and very helpful. During construction, the owner was very hands on helping provide insight and suggestions to ensure we would be happy with the end result. And on top of all that, they do tremendous work! We love our deck and our only regret is that we didn’t do it sooner. If we could do it all over again, or if I ever have another decking project, I will not hesitate to use Atlanta Porch & Patio!

Atlanta Porch and Patio built a fantastic porch. They delivered what they promised. With some builders there may be doubt what will happen with the build, but not with Porch and Patio. David managed the project well and all the crews were professional and responsible; good builders and skilled at the work. David is a real good guy. There is an office that can be contacted with a phone that is answered by a friendly voice. This is most likely not the cheapest porch to buy, but it could be the best. It is a great porch. The company is so busy with clients there is a waiting list, but I would say it is worth the wait.

Atlanta Porch & Patio added a screened porch and stone patio to the back of my home. Even though we were in the middle of the pandemic, they managed to get the job done in excellent fashion without raising the price because lumber was scarce. I love my porch and I spend many happy hours there.

I chose Atlanta Porch & Patio for my patio build and I am very happy with my experience. They provide free consultations and quotes and my contractor, David, walked me through each component of the design to pick the option that was right for me, which included a trip to the stone center to see the pavers in person (instead of just a catalogue). The building crew was quick and efficient and the entire build only took a few days. The transparency at every stage of the process makes me feel confident that my patio is built to the highest standards and will last for years to come.

We hired Atlanta Porch and Patio to help us with our retaining wall which was made out of railroad ties and falling down. We were in a desperate situation. The retaining wall was so close to the house we did know how they would get in there to even remove the wall. We are so pleased and would have never dreamed it was even possible what Sol designed and executed. All of his crews were excellent. The Paver crew, were very professional, I could here them singing as they came in ever morning. The stone guys were very interesting to observe as they chipped the stone away to fit exactly into one another as they built the columns, a true art form. The electricians, were also professional and actually very helped as they were willing to help us out with a few other needs we had as well. But Sol’s design work was amazing! He drew out the ideas he had, as well as continually ask us if we had any other hopes or ideas. I appreciate the talent he has to see what our backyard could become. Thank you so very much!!

Atlanta Porch & Patio did an amazing job transforming our backyard. Before they started, it was totally unusable space that became an attractive, inviting place to spend time and entertain. These guys are perfectionists and it shows up in their results. I can't say enough good things and neither can our guests. Sol was able to really show us the vision of our backyard project we wanted completed. The plans they produced were very detailed and he provided a lot of good ideas. I would highly recommend Atlanta Porch and Patio.

Atlanta Porch and Patio designed and built a screened in deck with a fireplace. The finished product is unbelievably high end and truly an extension of our house. Chris was a pleasure to work with and helped a ton with the design.

I couldn't regret more choosing to do business with this company. They must have gone through some sort of change of ownership, because all of their old reviews are quite good, while their new ones are mostly bad. What were my issues: 1)They told us the project would be completed in June. They finished last Friday, December 14th. 2)The tile work they did the first time was completely botched. It was external, and it was pooling water. They didn't pitch it away from the house for drainage. When we pointed this out, they disappeared for months. 3)Our project manager, David, would just ignore my text messages for days on end. Then my wife would text, and he would reply, completely ignoring my previous messages. 4)They installed lights in our stairs. When they did it, there was not enough slack in the line to the outdoor power outlet. So it was pulled diagonally and taut. It looked like something I would do in shop class. Utterly unprofessional. Because of this, water got into the box, damaging the outlet. When I pointed out that this was their fault, David acted as though there was nothing he could do to possibly remedy the damage they'd done. 5)When they disappeared for months at a time, they left trash in front of my neighbor's house. When I pointed that out, no apology was forthcoming. They just said they'd clean it up. 6)When they disappeared for months, some of their material disappeared. They gave me attitude about that, as though my house is their long-term storage. 7)When they first laid the tile, they made a big deal about how the tile needed to be done BEFORE the deck work. Then when it was clear that they'd messed up the tile, and I pointed out that the deck work would need to be redone, and now all of a sudden the order of operation wasn't so important. This led to a huge tripping hazard in the transition from tile to wooden deck. They refused to fix it, until the inspector failed them for it. 8)There was a retaining wall to be built. A man came with a load of bricks and dropped them off. Then nobody showed up for weeks. So we just had a giant pile of bricks sitting at the base of our stairs. Because apparently our house is their storage locker. 9)The deck work they did was shoddy and sloppy. Tons of stripped, half screwed in screws were lazily left. The wood was not at all prepped for paint-work. Ipe deck boards were split when the lights were installed, and then rather than fixing them, they just left them there like that, hoping we wouldn't notice. On almost all of the deck, they built a footer with 1x2 on the outside and 2x2 on the inside. On part they inexplicably inverted this pattern. Again, they hoped we just wouldn't notice. Some of the rails they rounded over, some they didn't. When they ran out of ipe, they just installed some obviously-not-ipe replacement in some of the deck boards. When I pointed this out, they said, "no, it's ipe". When I sent pictures showing it was clearly a different type of wood, then they said, "oh, actually we did that on purpose, we're going to install ipe". These guys are maybe overworked, I don't know. But if I had a time machine I'd go back and kick myself in the ass for ever signing a contract with them. Do yourself a favor. Look elsewhere.

We recently completed the addition of an enclosed 800sf porch replacing our back deck with a custom designed reconstruction by Atlanta Porch & Patio (“AP&P”). Our screened in enclosed porch looks fantastic and has added an entire living space to our home. From the first meeting with Sol of Atlanta Porch and Patio, we were convinced that this was the contractor we wanted to engage on our project. Our deck was over 20 years old and adding the roofing and screening was going to add significant weight to the structure. A new foundation was likely necessary but only AP&P paid attention and focused on it from the beginning. This helped us to be certain that we knew there would be no surprises. We also knew from our discussions that AP&P would pay attention to every necessary detail of integrating the new structure to our existing stucco exterior and not cut any corners. Beyond this, the team at AP&P were highly collaborative with us in the design and details of our custom project in all areas of construction, materials, and finishes. Making many positive recommendations and suggestions to us as they responded to our vision of what we desired. And, throughout the construction process, AP&P brought in great subcontractors, and paid attention to every detail. They would point out things that they thought did not meet their standards or ours and owned it, fixed it, and made sure it met expectations. We could not be more pleased with the results. Atlanta Porch & Patio is our recommendation to anyone and everyone. No surprises, on budget, excellent work, and thoughtful at every step. That’s a 5 out of 5.

Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience with Atlanta Porch and Patio. They only offer consultations on weekdays, so I took a day off work to meet the rep at my home. The consultation visit took nearly an hour and the rep discussed different ideas and options with me (he was very knowledgeable). However, when I then tried to follow up to get a quote, things went downhill. I had a follow up phone call with the rep and he promised sketches and a quote within 48 hours. Two weeks later, I have no response despite calling him and emailing him several times. I also called and emailed the company's main phone number / email, and they promised a response by end of day. No such luck. It has now been over a month and no one will get back to me. This is terrible customer service - they wasted my time, made me take a day off work, and never gave me the quote that I was promised. Given how unreliable they are and how they have no regard for a customer's time, I would not trust them with a project. If you do decide to work with them, proceed with caution - I suspect the unreliability won't just be in the consultation / quote stage. Very disappointing.

Love my new deck from Atlanta Porch & Patio. I just had my deck replaced by Atlanta Porch and Patio. My old deck was built in 1984. It was way passed the time it should have been replaced. The new deck that Atlanta Porch and Patio built is A-1 supreme in quality. My neighbors have come by and complimented me on how well built it is. It seems very solid when walking on it that it looks like you could drive a car onto it. I am extremely satisfied. I highly recommend this company for any similar construction.

When we bought our house it had only a concrete patio in the back. We were planning to buy a hot tub & wanted to build a porch we could use as much as possible through the year. Chris & Sol designed a porch that looks fabulous, blends with the rest of the house seamlessly, & can stand up to our frequent hot tub use. Instead of a fully enclosed sunroom, they suggested a 'sun porch' with vinyl windows that open & close easily & keep the wind & weather out. Because we wanted to be able to move the hot tub off the porch at some point, they had a custom door made that would accommodate the 7-foot hot tub! They built a pathway to the back of paver stones & used the same flooring inside the porch to tie it all together. It really is a great retreat in pur own backyard. Communication was great throughout the project, & it was finished on schedule. I would recommend them to anyone.

Excellent job in helping us design and build a greatly improved replacement back deck (with a beautiful screened-in room), a dual stacked-stone wall hardscape, as well as help in the replacement/upgrade of our front steps and the entry walk-way. We feel we certainly picked the right company to perform the work. There of course were minor issues, but all were resolved professionally and completely. They had someone out to deal with minor issues quickly. They were flexible and dealt with changes in the design smoothly. The overall time it took a bit longer than we had initially planned. The back deck work tracked very closely to the expected date, even with some minor adjustments. The hardscape work needed to be flexibly planned and executed (as some details couldn't be determined at the beginning). Our initial guess at a completion date wasn't hit. However, we are very happy with the end results. We have already highly recommended them to others, both for their experienced design ideas, quality craftsmanship, and wonderfully talented crews. We will be enjoying their distinctive work for years to come.

The job Atlanta Porch and Patio did for me just recently was terrific. My experience with their Design consultant Chris Hamby was very good in all respects. He and the company did all of the things they told me they would do. He was very attentive and punctual. He also made decision making very easy because he was on top of things. Atlanta Porch and Patio did a beautiful and professional job,on the pergola and would use them again.

Kudos to Sol Elisha for a job well done. Our extensive home improvement project included replacing a screened porch, replacing and expanding a lower deck, replacing and enlarging a cement patio with pavers, creating an outdoor space to enhance the usefulness and looks of our lot, replacing a thirty-four year old railroad tie retaining wall with a tiered and terraced wall of stone, and replacing the driveway and front walkway. Throughout this endeavor Sol's personal commitment of time and on-site support was top notch. We spent lots of time up front in planning and selection of materials during each phase of the work and did not feel pressured into making hasty decisions. The crews provided quality work with quality materials, and Sol was on site daily to monitor progress and talk over next steps. In addition, he promptly answered emails and phone calls. That personal connection really clicked with us. We are very pleased with the outcome of our home improvement. What was once a hodgepodge of outdoor spots surrounding our house has been transformed into an outdoor landscape of quality, continuity, and utility. The change is stunning!

We hired Atlanta Porch & Patio to construct an elevated screened in porch with exposed beams and a massive stone fireplace. The project was completed in a timely manner, two months. Everyone who worked on the job site was well dressed, respectful and knowledgeable. I particularly enjoyed working with the owner, Sol Elisha. I found that Mr. Elisha had some wonderful creative ideas and proved to be a man of integrity. Our finished porch is beautiful and I'm thrilled every time I step on to it! We have used Atlanta Porch & Patio twice. Our first project was a redo for a porch and deck. We love the outcome and use the porch nearly every day. It is functional for our needs and beautiful. Sol has exceptional design ideas and architectural input. Trust him. His carpenter crew was very personable. Our second project was a redo on the front sidewalk, porch landing, and building a new portico. Again Sol guided us in the correct direction with stone work that is beautiful and the new portico is perfectly to scale.

Fidel completed warranty work on my screened porch. He did calking, screwed floor board and adjusted warped door. I found Fidel to be professional, yet personable, knowledgable and a willing learner. He does very neat work. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing work done.
