We just completed renovating our master bathroom and were so thrilled to work with Bay State. This is our second project with Bay State. and it was like being reunited with old friends. Once again Clara, Andreina, Marcio, Jimmy, subcontractors Marcus (electric), David (plumbing) and all the Bay State team did a fantastic job with our master bathroom renovation. Bay State did a great job of guiding us through the decision making process and took the time to answer all of our questions, offering advice and patience. The team was reliable, professional and responsive; communication was fantastic! We will definitely work with them on future projects! Thank you Bay State!

We are delighted with our new kitchen, flooring and bathroom! From start to finish, the builders and remodelers were professional, reliable, and delivered exceptional workmanship. The attention to detail really shows in the finished product. They kept the work area remarkably clean throughout the entire project, which we greatly appreciated. Whenever we ran into design challenges, Andreina, Clara and the team offered creative, practical solutions to meet our expectations. We love our new kitchen diner and would absolutely hire them again!

I recently had the pleasure of working with Bay State Remodeling for a project at my residence. The project was adding an office, finishing the space above my garage as well as adding a mudroom. The project was started by another contractor who, after finishing approximately a third of the job, disappeared and would not communicate with me. Worse they had left a very large mess of construction debris in my yard. I reached out to several contractors to attempt to get the project finished. Upon hearing the project was already started by another contractor, most of the new contractors were not interested in engaging in the work. Bay State stepped up and immediately helped me feel at ease that the project was now in the hands of true professionals. Upon reviewing the prior contractors work they discovered several issues and explained to me my options. Jamie was instrumental in the initial onboarding of the project and assisted me with picking finishes. Andreina was my contact throughout the project and kept me informed on progress and what work was scheduled in the coming week. Marcio was frequently on site and was extremely helpful in explaining my options throughout the project and sharing his expertise from what he had seen on other projects. They were also very helpful in spotting small issues where some finished work could be improved and quickly brought the team back on site to address. All of the workers that were on site were professional and despite this being a multi-month engagement, the disruption was kept to a minimum for my family. The professionalism of the Bay State team was exemplary, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone in the future.

Bay State has been incredible to work with and I highly recommend them. We had a bathroom shower that was leaky and damaged the ceiling below. They assessed everything and gave reasonable options that evolved into a full bathroom reno. We looked at several other companies and Bay State stood out as the more responsive, professional, and reasonably priced. Andreina has been incredible throughout our journey - extremely responsive, kind, and understanding. She was always on top of things. Marcio has basically become part of the family at this point - he was here all the time to make sure things were being done correctly and supervising the various contractors. He was always responsive and checking in to make sure we were getting what we wanted and needed. Jaime was always responsive for all of our estimates and pricing. Robson and Jesiel were here frequently to help and were always so professional, helpful, and kind. Also David would reach out just to make sure things were on track. We had a complicated project that uncovered more pre-existing water damage leading to more work, and the Bay State team helped us through the whole thing. I've already used them for additional work in the house - one job to fix my decks and doors after another local company did a poor job - and planning another project with them now. As an owner of an old house in Dorchester I have dealt with a lot of different contractors in the area. Bay State sands out as the most professional and responsive. I have already recommended them to neighbors and co-workers and if you are reading this you should consider them. They will get the job done right and will communicate with you the whole time! Andreina, Marcio, Jaime, Robson, Jesiel, David, and many more names I am forgetting were all top notch!

I engaged Bay State for an ambitious remodel project at a house I purchased in West Newton. The reason I went with them after interviewing several options is that they did not seem intimidated by the ambiguities around how the project would develop. There were so many unknowns at the beginning, but instead of focusing on that like it was a burden or a hassle, Bay State approached it like it was going to be totally manageable. After doing the project with them, I see why. It is rare to find such a solutions-oriented group of professionals in any industry. They were both creative and practical, and ended up building me something that was much better than I could have anticipated at the outset. Among other things, they reconfigured my entryway, put a new bedroom and a music studio into an unfinished part of the basement, and converted a massive but bizarre space on the third floor into a really show-stopping primary suite. When a manufacturer defect that they were not responsible for caused an issue in my house a couple of months after the project was completed, they appeared and handled everything before we even knew what exactly what was going on. They facilitated my claim and everything was covered by the manufacturer. Special shout out to Andreina, who keeps things moving despite the odds; Marcio, who always had the best ideas, could fix anything, and whose wife talked me into committing to my favorite part of the project when it emerged as a possibility; David, who heroically diagnosed the defect and found my dog when he got out that one time and I was panicking; and Jaime, whose design ideas really elevated the outcome. These guys were in my house from early in the morning for months and months, and I still like them! They will be the rare contractor you want to do repeat business with.

Bay State Remodeling did a great job on one bathroom addition and one bathroom remodel project for us. They kept in touch throughout the process, letting us know how things were going and what to expect next. They remarkably finished exactly on time, despite having to do additional work that wasn’t planned in the original proposal. We are very happy with the final outcome!

After YEARS of terrible experiences with contractors finding Bay State was a much needed breath of fresh air. Thinking about how amazing these guys were .. I don't even know where to begin. This was a CRAZY project. We had an atrium inside the house that was basically a huge garden with no slab underneath. Huge open space with just soil. Inside the house!! They took that and turned my vision into reality. With this being such a challenging and strange job, every single person that stepped into this house to work on the project was so patient, understanding and generally an awesome human. I loved having everyone here. If you're looking for a remodel or addition to your house do not call anyone else but Bay State. All the contractors worked so great together. They've known each other for years so it made the project run so smooth. 5 stars PLUS for sure. Thank you every single person at Bay State for leaving us with the perfect bathroom and playroom for our family to enjoy. I don't know how you guys made this all happen. Bay State did an AMAZING job with our house. We originally hired them to redo 2 bathrooms - then, after a different company backed out of our HVAC installation right before the winter, Bay State came to the rescue and did a wonderful job with the remodeling required for that, too. We decided to expand the scope of our home remodel (to include a kitchen remodel, opening up the floorplan, etc.) because we were so impressed with the quality of their work, and we are very happy with the results. It was a pleasure working with Marcio, Andreina, David, Marcus, Mr. Fixit, Dayna, and everyone else involved in the project. We are so glad we went with Bay State - they are professional, detail-oriented, trustworthy, and committed to quality. Also, they know how to make things look really good!

I hired Bay State to do a complete gut renovation of my kitchen and to build a new fireplace and a built-in bookcase in my living-room. I could not be happier with the results. Andreina and Dayna did an excellent job designing and planning the project to stay within my budget, and Marcio made sure that every detail was up to his high standards. All of the guys were great - especially Paulo, who did much of the final detailed touch-up work (Paulo even repaired my powder-room door, which I did not realize was not closing properly and had not asked him to fix). I would not hesitate to recommend Bay State to friends who are planning a renovation and will definitely rehire them when I get up the courage to renovate the rest of my condo!

We were so happy with how our project turned out from Bay State Remodeling! From the design to the final product, they really made our dream kitchen come to life. We fully renovated our kitchen to create a more modern look and open the ground floor layout, which before was outdated. David, Marcio, Andreina, Dayna, and the rest of the Bay State team did a fantastic job getting our home in Newton ready on time for our family to move into. Sub-contractors Jonathan (electrical) and David (plumbing) were also great to work with. We were working with a tight deadline, and our friends and neighbors were amazed by how much they did so quickly and well. Our project included removing a defunct chimney from roof through garage, removing a load bearing wall and building requisite structural support, gutting the kitchen and dining areas, adding a bathroom, removing radiator heat and adding central air, upgrading electrical including adding an EV charger, and a ton of small improvements we added along the way. They also did a great job following up with any adjustments we needed post-move. We are so happy with Bay State and plan to use them again on future projects!
