B&D Blue Water Builders was founded in 2005 by Bryan Garska, a veteran of the residential contracting industry with nearly three decades of experience in carpentry, framing, historic renovation, kitchen and bathroom remodeling, and much more. Our company is fully licensed and insured for residential and commercial contracting in North Carolina, and we have been honored as one of Raleigh’s best up and coming remodeling companies in both 2011 and 2012. We are proud to offer full-service interior and exterior home remodeling and renovation services with a special emphasis on acting with integrity, and our owner personally oversees every project to ensure we achieve the highest levels of accuracy and quality every time. We charge a $75 fee for estimates. This estimate consists of our project manager coming to the site, creating a detailed and accurate bid, and finding what will maximize your budget. 100% of this estimate cost will be deducted from your invoice at the end of the project. This will ensure that you have the highest quality of work with no financial surprises.

The contractor, Bryan Garska, is a friendly and knowledgable person who has been doing this for a long time. He is easy to work with and frequently came by the job to be sure the subcontractors were doing the work according to the plans. He and his office assistant, Emily Paluk, were easy to contact and they kept me up to date on the progress and the schedule. The job was a substantial single story addition to a two story house. It was started at about the same time as the Covid pandemic hit. At that time, supply chains and other issues made it difficult to get materials which caused significant increases in both the time and cost but Bryan's original estimate had taken that into account, and the job was completed at close to those estimates. A small increase in cost was due to alterations I requested after the job was started.

B&D Blue Water Builders did a great job on our home project which included new decking, an updated gazebo, lighting, new pathways etc. I appreciated how they repeatedly said they wanted us to be happy with everything! Bryan and Emily are a pleasure to work with and a terrific team! Highly recommend!

Brian and Emily assisted our family with repairs and updates to two rental properties. Brian was very helpful from the beginning with guidance to ensure we fully understood the possible structural and PME issues that might be impacted by our alterations wish list. They helped keep us in budget and understood our goals to improve the investment properties. As expected with renovations to older properties we encountered hidden repairs, but we were consistently pleased that quotes provided were reasonable and never felt inflated. We achieved a lovely new kitchen, bath, flooring, and painting inside and out and the whole family was very pleased with the final results. Workmanship was great, material suggestions were helpful, and attention to final punch list items ensured a happy client. Job well done guys!

I've worked with Bryan and his team for two large home improvement projects - a major kitchen gut job and an in-law suite addition. Bryan knows his stuff, comes up with great ideas (like how we puzzle-fit a gorgeous curly maple bar in between two columns and adding a bay window in the addition), and is incredibly easy to talk to and work with. I'm totally in love with my kitchen - truly one of the coolest kitchens ever - and my new addition which is so light, beautiful, and relaxing I might move into it myself. Bryan is awesome!

This is a tough business, and I have dealt with a lot of contractors over the years. It's always going to cost more and take longer though anyone ever expects. Knowing all this going into my kitchen reno, I wanted someone to be honest, hard-working, and to "speak my language". I got all that with Bryan and his main carpenter, Jose. These two are just good, solid people. I liked them when I first met them, and I still like them now that the project is done. I *love* my awesome, one-of-a-kind kitchen. Thank you both so much!

LOVE THESE GUYS! We did a remodel, a kitchen and added a man-cave with high ceilings and it's own half-bath. Inside and out, it is seamless. You can't even tell that the addition wasn't part of the original floor plan. Bryan knew I loved my high ceilings and he made it work. His team are professionals and never did I feel as if they weren't 100% dedicated to getting the job done right and on time. Any cost overruns or time extensions were not on the fault of B&D Bluewater. They even fixed things that had been screwed up by precious contractors. I recommend B&D Bluewater every time someone asks. My new "open-concept" living area is wonderful, my kitchen flows and is not just functional, but highly complimented and my husband loves his office/man-cave. Any other structural changes that we decided to do, we will contact Bryan first.

When I met Bryan, the owner, I knew I met someone who I can trust and was very knowledgeable and trust worthy. He gave me references to call. However, I never needed to call them because I knew I had the best team and leadership for our kitchen remodel. Bryan has the best people working for him and in the end working for me. His entire team was professional, courteous, and dedicated to doing the job right for the homeowner. Our kitchen remodel took approximately 5 weeks to complete, and during that time period I got to know Bryan and his team, building a relationship with each one of them, which I am thankful. I wanted to give my wife the kitchen of her dreams, and in the end, that is exactly what Bryan and his team provided.
