Placed according to the desired look, makes it either an easy or difficult decision on what we prefer as the carpets will last a lifetime. Beckwith has always provide excellent and quick service in cleaning carpets and in repairing an antique Chinese silk tapestry. The carpet they just cleaned for us came back in just a few days, delivered and set up in the right place by Bernie himself. The only service we trust with our carpets.

It is obvious once you step into Beckwith Galleries and speak with Bernie that he cares deeply about his business practices and acting professionally. The Persian rug market can be intimidating as dishonest rug dealers can use customer naivety to their advantage. Fortunately, Beckwith Galleries does not operate like that, and Bernie wants happy long-term customers that make informed decisions. While it is always best to do your own research, Bernie is more than happy to help you with your rug search and take the time to discuss the various details of hand-made rugs with you, all while giving you space to make your own decisions. Bernie is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to hand-made rugs and his passion for the art is evident if you start getting into the details with him. I'd highly recommend his business for your rug needs but would note that the segment of the rug market Beckwith Galleries is catering to is not for everyone. Hand-made rugs may or may not be what you're looking for when you set out to cover the floors of your home. This is not the place to go if you're looking for cheap rugs. However, if you apricate the history, skill and time involved in producing hand-made rugs, Beckwith Galleries is a great place to start.

Bernard is a wealth of knowledge and a very kind individual. He helped with the appraisal of my Persian rug which otherwise I would have never known its true monetary value. Highly recommended, and a pleasure to do business with.

Beckwith recoloured some worn areas of an old Persian carpet for us. They did a great job quickly and made a noticeable improvement.

The proprietor of Beckwith Galleries, Bernie Teklenburg is now 32 years in with extensive expertise and knowledge of quality Persian, Oriental, and Modern carpets as well as Antique/Vintage rugs and runners - and offers a complete range of services, including cleaning and repairs, personal services (appraisals and consultations) right in your home or office, and hassle-free pick-up and delivery. Bernie came to our home to look at a 10' X 12' Persian rug, now 50-plus years on, needing a little TLC, including cleaning, mending two worn spots, re-dying a couple of faded sections, and removing some candle melt. Following our discussion, Bernie removed the rug, and within two weeks the cleaning and repairs were done, and the rug was back in our home. Well, the rug looks spectacular, and the worn spots and the candle melt all turned out to look better than we could have hoped for! Subsequently, my wife and I visited Beckwith Galleries, where Bernie shared fascinating insights about the beautiful quality rugs he has on display.
