I'm working with Stuart from Blueline Architects and I'm very pleased with the quality of work, design detail, approach and customer service. There have been no issues, and the communication has been excellent. I think that my project is probably one of the smaller ones that they typically work with, but I've never felt that it wasn't as important to them as when they design a house in Aspen for millions of dollars.

Our experience working with our architect, Stuart Brummett, could not have been better. Throughout the process of designing our Texas hill country home, Stuart listened carefully to what we wanted and thoughtfully came up with a beautiful plan. We especially appreciated his attention to detail... from the placement of the house on our acreage to the elegant and comfortable creation of the interior. His vision, guided by our needs and wants, emerged in every detail including the exterior decks, windows and doors, lighting, etc. Each feature compliments the space. It is just what we hoped for! I worked with Ken Bridges for more than a year on a major remodel of our home. We wanted to retain the feel of the existing 1940s structure and didn't want it to look like a poptop, which it is. Ken took our ideas and ran with them, creating a beautiful design that met our needs for a larger, more open, more functional space while still fitting in with the original houses in neighborhood. He is a great listener, is very creative, and was available for consultation throughout the various phases of the project, which I found crucial to maintain design quality and consistency as construction progressed. We had the most remarkable experience working with Blueline Architects. Stuart Brummett and Ken Bridges were exceptionally creative, innovative and knowledgeable about the latest materials and green technologies while incorporating them into the home that exceeded all of our expectations. Their demeanor was always pleasant, calm and insightful. Budget was discussed, worked and reworked to our satisfaction while we were always pleased by the professional timeline in which they worked. I contacted numerous architecture firms regarding my building project. Blueline Architects impressed me both with their quick response, and their willingness to work with my unconventional budget/schedule/jobsite. After a preliminary meeting, Ken agreed to travel with me to my remote property to discuss possible building sites. Ken's trained eye helped me to select the optimum building site. Once that was settled upon, the conceptual design phase of the project commenced. Ken designed a structure which draws the guest in the front door and dramatically frames the view of the Continental Divide in the distance. Ken listened to my wish list and seamlessly incorporated some of my favorite themes into the design. After several design reviews on paper, he crafted a scale model of the project. The scale model really helped me to visualize the how the structure would interact with it's surroundings. In addition to the conceptual and detail design, Ken assisted me with the process of acquiring the building permit. Ken coordinated with the structural, geotechnical, and wastewater engineers, and incorporated their findings into a comprehensive package for the county planning commission. Upon submittal of the building plans, my permit was issued without delay. I would definitely recommend Blueline Architects for your next design/build project!!

As a two-time client of Ken Bridges, I can attest to his utmost expertise, professionalism and attention to personal detail. Ken first designed the addition to our business which was a challenge in and of itself. We requested he design a somewhat modern nave to our 100+ year old church in order to add 900 square feet of retail space to our retail store. Ken's design was a complementary, contemporary design that melded the old with the new by employing the cathedral windows of the church into the curved walls of his new design, which are also adjacent to a modern entry of a glass garage door. Our space exceeded our expectations in terms of style and utilitarian measures, meanwhile strengthening the friendship between Ken, my husband and me. As a result, we asked Ken to design our primary home on a .5 acre lot in East Vail. Our request was a contemporary home with 360 degree views, a 3 bed/3 bath and 3 car garage without taking out any of the mature pines and aspens on the lot. Ken was always well-prepared when presenting our proposals to town managers and as a result we never ran into denials. As the structure went up, it drew unending attention from passersby for its unusual silhouette of steel, glass and cantilevered decks, which consequently hasn't stopped since we moved in. Our space has elevated ceilings, surrounding glass from floor to ceiling, concrete floors, assymetrical lines and angles in worktops and rooflines, all of which incorporate a balance of natural and industrial materials. Ken is a true visionary with unending concepts that I believe will transcend our time, yet still meld with today's ideas and styles. On a personal note, our friendship with with Ken and his family have strengthened throughout the construction of our house and business, which speaks loudly of Ken's character. He remained very involved throughout both projects, quietly overseeing that all details were being built to his specs, and readily tweaking concepts to fit our needs as things evolved. Whomever is looking to engage Ken in designing their project will not only a get a true creative genius, but someone who is conscientious and truly caring on a personal level. We feel like our home is not only a design, but a work of art in which we get to reside, and Ken has become one of our closest personal friends as a result.

Ken provides expert guidance throughout all phases of the architectural design process. He is intuitive and perceptive and accurately translates owner interests and desires into design. He appropriately and proudly shares his work on other projects purposely to further develop his understanding of owner desires.
