Bright Leaf Landscaping is a family owned business. I had the pleasure of meeting Jonathan and his family at Shaw's Karate. Salt of the earth kind of guy. We recently moved to Durham, and loved the backyard - except for the area near the popup drain, where water flows when it rains, and mud and dirt were the major features in the hardpan clay under the shade of the trees. Jonathan set us up with a decorative river rock in the area downstream of the popup drain, mulch in the area where grass won't grow. He also talked us out of Azaleas in the shade under the trees, and recommended decorative plants that would actually grow in the area. And he added the ability to water them precisely with water saving emitters that water the plants - without watering the larger mulched area. My lovely wife is very pleased - and the next door neighbors enjoy the view from their deck. Honest and professional. We had an incredible experience with BrightLeaf Landscaping. Jonathan and his team far exceeded our expectations. Jonathan took the time to meet with us for a consultation and really understand what was important to us. Then the landscape designer, Beth, spent an hour with us going over some ideas. The design looked professional, was made to scale in a computer program and had photos of the plants accompanying it. Jonathan came over again to spend time reviewing the design with us and answer any questions. The final product was amazing. Brightleaf helped transform our backyard from ordinary to a place we look forward to spending many afternoons. We are definitely going to leverage them again for future work and would highly recommend them to anyone.
