On 11/14 my husband and I contracted a local landscaper to remove the leaves and fall rubbish. They did a fantastic job, not a leaf in sight. On 11/15 our neighbor contracted Burkhart for their leaf removal. They started at 6:49 AM and completed around 4:45 PM. Well as the day progressed and my neighbor's yard became leaf free, my yard became a forest of blow leaves from the west to the east. Our yard was so full of leaves, and it was unacceptable. Once we motioned to the worker that he had blown leaves into our yard he brushed us off and caused a negative feeling. We called Burkhart and within 5 minutes of the call, Kyle was at our residence with an apology and the attitude to make it right. Within 10 minutes of the call work was being done to remove the leaves from our yard. Burkhart is a top-notch operation. This gesture of correcting an error has shown a company not only skilled in craftmanship but also one that understands how to treat people. Thank you, Burkhart.

Burkhart Outdoors was responsive when I reached out needing landscape work. I needed sod replaced and some bad areas that needed to be raked out. They came and removed the dead grass , seeded and added more top soil to help the seed take. Kyle is very knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend this company.

Burkhart Outdoors was a perfect fit for our backyard oasis project. From the initial design meeting, we could tell Kyle’s expertise and attention to detail was exactly what we wanted. He designed our entire paver backyard patio and landscaping. He listened to what we wanted in our unique design idea and was able to successfully bring that to light by adding his own touches and thoughts as well. His hands on approach and dedication to his passion really shows. He has a wonderful crew who are dedicated to attention to detail as well. This year we had Burkhart Outdoors completely redo all of our landscaping. This included removing all old landscaping from the front and backyard and replacing our old mulch beds with blue chip slate and new plants, adding a new stone retaining wall, adding buried downspouts, electrical work for outdoor up lighting and adding a carriage light to the garage, power washing, and tree removal. The owner Kyle worked with us from start to finish, he was hands on and involved through the whole process from project design to completion. From initial contact with Kyle, we knew we would be in great hands. He was very communicative and his design ideas were fantastic. He is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of the work. The work was performed in a timely manner and the crew was professional. Additionally, the crew and Kyle paid meticulous attention to detail. Burkhart Outdoors did incredible work and we could not be happier with the result.

What a wonderful experience to work with Burkhart! Kyle sat down with my wife & I discussing our goals and after several iterations, talking about what plants work best in sun and shade, what would be best for screening, which ones flower, which were low maintenance, and the final plan was executed with precision. We recently hired Kyle to replace a walkway from our driveway back to our patio. He designed a wonderful replacement walk with landscaping. We were thrilled with his design ideas that also incorporated some of our ideas too. He also worked to solve drainage problems we’d been having in the past and did some repair work on our sagging patio. Last but not least, he designed a fire pit area that has already been enjoyed more than once this summer. Kyle was fantastic to work with; he’s professional, creative, conscientious, responsive, listens to what your needs are, keeps you informed every step of the way and is a great person who goes the extra mile to help his customers. Kyle replaced the 30 year old 15’ x 25’ wooden deck with 15’ x 15’ composite deck that steps down to 12’ x 17’ patio with gas fireplace. The project included low maintenance landscaping around the deck and patio and below ground sump discharge and downspout. Kyle and his crew of 3 do top notch, quality work. And my family and I love our new outdoor space.

We’ve worked with Kyle on two different homes and have been blown away. He and his crews provide great design, do artisan-like work and deliver service that separates Burkhart Outdoors from all others. Kyle did an excellent job on sprucing up our residence and eliminating a drainage issue that had plagued us for years. The plants used on our project have all thrived and provided the vibrant fall colors our family wanted. I've used other Landscapers in the past and found that after one year a lot of the plantings did not make it. With Kyle, everything he planted has not only survived, but has thrived. It is said patience is a virtue and good things come to those who wait. For our project this summer these words ring true. We went into our project (creating a new patio and resurfacing an existing deck) with some ideas on product and design. While I would encourage prospective clients to do their homework before starting contractor interviews, give Kyle some freedom to offer suggestions. His education in interior design as well as his years of experience in landscape and hardscape design allow him to 'see' projects with a unique eye. Our project was the better for his suggestions. There are many things that made working with Kyle pleasant- his standards are high, his team is very competent and neat, his price was fair, and his ability to pull subs for aspects of the project impressive. Our project took longer than any of us expected due to product issues- yes, supply chain issues weren't just an academic talking point on the news. Both Kyle and Jason A (who handled the deck resurfacing) are gentlemen who stand behind their work and their word. When I purchased my house back in the fall of 2019, little did I know that my first home would turn out to be my dream home. My plan was simple: clean it up, give it a paint job, and some cosmetic repairs, or so I thought. I knew I had purchased a fixer-upper, but the moment I stepped into the backyard, rake in hand, I realized that this was a much bigger job than weeding and seeding. Overwhelmed by my lack of understanding of outdoor spaces, I decided to contact Burkhart Outdoors. I was pretty impressed when Kyle Burkhart, owner, and CEO, showed up at my house a few weeks later. Kyle assured me that his priority was to create a space that matched my wants and lifestyle. I knew that I wanted a garden with trees, roses, shrubs, and entertainment space but had no clue where to begin. Kyle was quick to mention that it's not all about plant looks, but most importantly, which species would thrive in my garden based on the soil ph, sun exposure, and where the house was situated. He immediately examined the property and helped me realize that I had several dead trees on the property. To me, this all sounded like too big of a project, but Kyle assured me that his company was a one-stop-shop and that he would take care of it all, and he did. Upon agreeing to proceed with Burkhart Outdoors Design Contract Agreement, Our follow-up meetings consisted of in depth detailed design concepts, a tailored plant species list, and samples of all stone, retaining wall materials, and a detailed line item estimate for all aspects of the project. This was very helpful as I could completely understand where my money was being spent on my investment. The best part was that I never once felt left out of the entire process. Kyle will always make sure that your opinion matters and that you have made the perfect investment in your home. All in all, I would have to give Burkhart Outdoors a 10/10 because of exemplary customer service and incredible attention to detail. Kyle & his team has a created a luxurious outdoor space that only gets better with time.

If I could give 7 stars I would! We recently hired Burkhart to update our front landscape and walkway which, after 33 years, was looking tired and dated. Kyle brought a fresh perspective, positive approach and contagious enthusiasm for our project. Here are some of the things that stand out in my mind: •Kyle is a great design partner – he listened to what we wanted, presented options and wasn’t shy about giving input. His recommendations were spot on. In addition to a new paver walkway, Kyle opened up and paved our front porch to give us a new outdoor living space. He created a planting design with an eye toward continual color, interest AND easy upkeep. Even though I was skeptical about landscape lighting, his plan is absolutely stunning. •The entire Burkhart crew respected our time and our home. Kyle always let us know what would be done when, and alerted us to any changes. His crew was competent, courteous and quiet – NO loud music, NO yelling, and NO littering. •Burkhart has extensive resources and Kyle did a great job of coordinating every detail – from tree trimming, to masonry repair, watering system consultation and electrical installation. •There were no surprises. Kyle made many promises when we negotiated the project, and he kept every single one of them. As with any project, there were a few situations that cropped up but Kyle always had a solution which addressed the need and respected our budget. That in itself is priceless.

Kyle and his crew did a great job! It was professional and they finished the job thoroughly by the end of the day. The job was completed as was discussed prior to the work being started. Highly recommend their services.

Have wanted to replace some older flagstone around the side of our house and extend a nice walkway from the front, around the garage to our rear deck. We also wanted to add some bushes along the rear fence line. Contacted Burkhart Outdoors and spoke with Kyle. He stopped by and reviewed the scope of the project. Using a plat of our property, Kyle was able to design a vision of what he would be able to do. After a few adjustments we agreed to proceed. Being a smaller job, his crew was able to fit us in within a week and able to finish up within 2 days! Now we have the large (14x21x2 3/8") Beacon Hill Unilock pavers running from the front, around the garage to the rear deck. A black steel edging retains American heritage stone up to a garden area where brown mulch was used. To help with drainage a CA-6 base was used to create a trench beneath the walk which drained well during recent downpours. 4 arborvitaes were removed and 12 Arrowood Viburnums planted. VERY responsive to requests. A+

Most contractors are not the easiest to get a hold of and getting a response back has always been an issue. When we were recommended to Kyle Burkhart, it was after 3 other contractors wouldn’t get back to us about a pergola we wanted built. Kyle not only got back with us immediately, he did every single time we called with a question. He was very professional with every conversation and the work turned out beautiful. We honestly could not be happier. We will definitely be calling him again for our next project, without a doubt.

Timely work is important and Kyle from Burkhart Outdoors met that bench mark very well. In addition all aspects of the work were thoroughly completed. As important as being on time with a project is that the work came in as budgeted and our yard was immaculately groomed when the job was completed. Because of summer heat and heavy rains last season there was an area of seeding which did not grow well. Without being asked Burkhart Outdoors came back in the fall and reseeded that small area. Last fall just before winter set in we also had Burkhart Outdoors supervise a project at our daughter's home. Thank you Kyle

Burkhart Outdoors did a great job fixing our patio stairs. The stairs had started to separate and breakdown due to age and incorrect construction. Kyle assessed the situation, explained what he and his crew would do to fix it, and provided a written quote. We agreed on price and they started right away. The step was completely dismantled, block-by-block, and re-assembled properly. They grouted the steps as well as power-washed and re-grouted our entire patio. It looks excellent!

We are very pleased with the work done by Burkhart Outdoors. Mr Burkhart worked with us and kept us in the loop from the planning, to the tear down of the old deck, to the replacement of the old down spouts with extended drainage away from the house, to the laying of the patio paver bricks and to the landscaping (especially attractive) bordering the new patio.
