Cabochon Surfaces & Fixtures

I strongly recommend against using this company. They recommended a purchase of far more tile than I needed (nearly twice what was needed) and I estimate that I spend almost $1500 in expensive sink cap and 3x6 tile that is now sitting in my storage. I asked to return it and they refused and said it was "custom" and I signed their order, but the order was based on their over estimation. Worst of all, the mosaic tile they sold me DID NOT match the color sample at all and they did nothing to correct this. It did not come in the size of sheets promised on the order form, and again they did nothing to correct or resolve. Buyer beware, this business does not put the customer first or apparently care about getting repeat business.

I would highly recommend the professionals at Cabochon for surfaces and fixtures. They carry unique and beautiful materials and have the design expertise to help bring it all together. I have worked with them on several projects and have always been pleased with the outcome.

Kelly from Cabochon is a shining star in a sea of plumbing fitting/fixtures, tile, wood flooring, countertops, lighting and accessories showrooms. Her abilities range from that of an expert and highly-qualified designer, to a completely competent sales person, time management and delivery facilitator, along with the possession of the correct acumen for dealing with difficult clients (we all have them!) and/or any stressful situation when it comes to new home construction, remodeling and renovation. She is SO professional in every aspect of what she does that my architectural design company relies of her and her "team" completely for each and every project. In the 30+ years I have been working in the design field, I have never encountered anyone so willing, eager and excited to participate in the process as fully as Kelly. Her carry-through from start-to-finish is always consistent as is her quality level of communication. She really does deliver all the time and the results are always outstanding....take a look! I cannot say enough good things about Kelly and Cabochon, from their selection of building materials to their hands-on, bespoke service for every project's need.

I had this wondrous dream when building a home in Cardiff that it would be a visual masterpiece when completed. I searched up and down the coast from San Diego to Orange County in so many showrooms looking for perfection. After six months of walking the showrooms, I came upon Cabochon in La Jolla. I noted the quality of the products and the precision of answers from Kelly. She never skipped a beat. I am a Virgo and have highly, detailed requirements to almost everything. And I require honesty. We worked hard and long and endlessly to reach coordinating decisions from flooring everywhere to tile and plumbing possibilities in a home just shy of 6000 square feet. I knew it was unbelievably beautiful, but when customers from as far away as Beverly Hills and had heard about the tile work, and contractors from towns far away came to see the installations, I was caught between persons seeking to see the outstanding work and at some point invasion of privacy. The one thing I know, each time a friend or acquaintance sees the work in this house, they think it is extraordinary, have never seen anything like it and I know I have my masterpiece, because of Kelly at Cabochon.

Do not hire this company for your tile. Could go on and on but the problem with Cabachon (specifically the owner Kelly) is that once they have your sale all of the customer service goes out the window. We did not spend an insignificant amount of money with Kelly and once the credit card was run she was impossible to reach. We are still with incorrect toilet seats but have given up .

Working with Cabochon is always amazing! They have impeccable taste and a gorgeous showroom. We feel confident that Kelly & Deena with always steer us (and our clients) in the right direction to find the most beautiful and unique products for each project. Visiting their showroom is like being a kid in a candy shop and they are always up to date with the latest trends and ideas! We highly recommend Cabochon for your stone and tile needs!

Kelly was a star! I loved working with Cabochon. My bathrooms are over the top gorgeous. The showroom was organized and all tiles were displayed for ideal selection. Kelly drew all my bathrooms in CAD and helped ensure configurations were correct. Plus, this allowed me to properly visualize all my selections. Kelly was ultra responsive, visited my construction site multiple times, placed orders quickly and efficiently, and genuinely became a part of the team. The results speak for themselves. I highly recommend Cabochon and Kelly!

I had the pleasure of working with Kelly of Cabachon Surfaces & Fixtures on a new coastal home in La Jolla. Since it is my practice to develop the design right down to the last detail, material, and color, I rely heavily on product suppliers to bring a design to completion. I believe that tile is one of those surfaces that really must be selected in person in a neat and well organized showroom with the help of an experienced salesperson with strong design sensitivity. Cabachon is that showroom and Kelly is that professional. She understood my intentions and my client's taste and was instrumental in guiding us to the perfect products for each application. She had my client's interest in mind with pricing and selection. Cabachon has a wealth of product resources, but manages to present the available options in a way that does not overwhelm, rather, simplifies the range of choices. While many showrooms are cluttered, crowded and confusing, Cabachon is neat, compact, and well organized. I would not hesitate to work with Cabachon on any project or with any client.

Kelly is great to work with! She helped us out after a very bad experience with someone else during our bath remodel. My phone calls and emails were always returned immediately and she was able to quickly solve all our issues.

I just finished construction on my home and made all of my tile and hardwood selections with Cabochon. After being referred to them from a friend whom had done multiple projects with them I must say I was 100% satisfied. While there I was also able to go just a couple doors down to the new store Lavish Bath Gallery and selected all of my plumbing fixtures in the same day! Talk about convenience! Everything in the home turned out lovely and it was a pleasant experience from start to finish.

This is the third project I have completed with Cabochon. Their designers are professional and up on the latest products and knowledgeable about a wide variety of price options in regard to tile and hardware. My project was on time and within budget. I have referred many friends there simply because they are the best!!!
