From the first moment I saw Cary's web page, I knew she was the designer for us! And she has been proven that thought 100 times over. I think the best part of Carey is not only her fabulous design knowledge but her easy going attitude. She made every step of the way pleasant and easy. My husband I were extremely wowed by her display boards of selections for us and the many rooms we asked her to do. Actually it was an entire house renovation and every room needed her attention which she gave right down to the last detail.....no pun intended. She stayed on schedule and the house was ready for the big reveal as planned. The reveal was the best part, just like on TV! Carey drove to our Cape house with a truck loaded with accessories she had accumulated specifically for our home. We love, love, love the finished outcome. The final result was absolutely stunning and took my breath away. The summer seaside home is done in exquisite colors bringing the outside in and extending the inside out. Beautifully done. It was a pleasure and a privilege to work with Carey on this project. I highly recommend Carey for any interior design project .....whether it be seaside, suburban or in the big city. Carey can do it all.

Carey is a pleasure to work with. We recently completed a renovation and she designed and decorated our library, family room and living room. They all look great! It was an enjoyable experience and we had complete confidence in all her suggestions and plans. Carey has great vision with unique and beautiful taste. We recently worked with Carey Karlan of Last Detail Interior Design to update both our master bedroom and the first floor of our home. She did a fantastic job and we could not be more pleased with the outcome. Carey has a keen eye for color and texture which results in beautiful, elegant spaces. Our master was transformed from an uninspired bedroom into a peaceful oasis where we now retreat to read and relax. On the first floor, Carey’s challenge was to blend our new modern kitchen with the more traditional living spaces while utilizing much of the existing furniture. Carey immediately understood our goals and worked tirelessly to find new pieces, fabrics and accents which fit with our style and created a more cohesive look. Guided by her excellent sense of design, we slowly gained the confidence to “step outside the box” and now have rooms which are contemporary, welcoming and comfortable. Carey is a true pleasure to work with and we recommend her without reservation.

Carey Karlan of Last Detail is fantastic. I have worked with her for 13 years on projects large and small, and she gets it absolutely right every single time. She is meticulous on everything from design, sizing, flow, and every "last detail" (no pun intended, but it's true!) Not only does she have great taste and a fresh approach to decorating but she is careful to incorporate the personal taste and preferences of each client, which allows her to create very beautiful, very livable, and very personal designs. Anyone that comes into my house immediately comments upon the impressive, but comfortable, decor. Her products are usually high end, but always of impeccable quality and her prices are very fair. She is also fantastic for general decorating advice and very easy to work with.

Working with Carey Karlan is always a pleasure. Very professional, with exciting and beautiful ideas, as well as being easy and fun!
