Scope: den new furniture, paint, light fixtures,, cabinets, tv. Carla was a pleasure to work with very professional. She was on time, returned phone calls and was a good listener and communicator. I have collaborated with Carla Sofia in various facets for many years now. Carla's exquisite taste, attention to detail and charming personality are what drew me to her professionally. I had been a guest at Carla's home for a fundraising event, and I was extremely impressed with the space she had created, both inside and out. I discovered she's an interior designer, and I was working with her within month. I wanted that same look and feel in my home that I had experienced in hers; knockout style while comfortable and welcoming. That's what I wanted, but I had no idea how to achieve it successfully, until I met Carla. I knew my kitchen and baths were outdated, but the thought of tackling that on my own was too daunting. Additionally, I love much of the furniture and art I've collected during my travels, but I've never liked the overall look these pieces created together. There was no sense or reason to it all, and I knew some serious editing had to be done. Carla and I met in my home, and the transformation began. She listened to me, and I could tell she was seriously considering my needs while developing a plan. Carla created working drawings for the kitchen and bathroom remodels, which transformed those spaces remarkably, both in function and appearance - stunning! As far as editing my existing furniture, Carla pointed out the pros and cons of each piece, and suggested alternate locations, and even uses in some cases, and then developed a new furniture and art plan. We eliminated some pieces completely, and Carla found some unique pieces to add. Carla also designed a few custom-built pieces, including a built-in work space for my home office, which has increased the function and appearance of that space beyond my boldest expectations. The improvements go on and on. For example, I was not familiar with the importance and impact of lighting. Carla reworked and improved the lighting throughout my home and office, increasing function, and highlighting my art appropriately (and safely). What thrilled me the most during the process is how Carla worked with me and not for me; it felt like a partnership. Carla's thoughts and suggestions come brilliantly and effortlessly, and I couldn't be more thrilled with the results. Carla is an amazing talent, and now a trusted friend.

I met Carla via referral. I know and understand quality and what I find attractive from a design standpoint, but have no talent to get from a blank canvas to a finished design. This is where Carla came through. She choose the entire color and material pallet for my project, advised on window placement and size, designed two challenging bathrooms and a kitchen, all to the highest standards. The project was difficult from a space utilization standpoint (an original 1920's Spanish Bungalow that was to maintain it's original footprint) and had an impossibly tight budget given the scope of work. Carla was able to navigate all of this, and advise where spending was going to yield the greatest impact to the finished project and where cost could be saved without marring the design.
