Charles Aydlett Photography

My company hired Charles to photograph several building projects ranging from interiors to exterior shots. For each site and project, Charles found the right view and mood to express our work. Charles has gained our trust and we have full faith in his keen eye - we plan to hire him for our future architectural projects.

Charles recently photographed a one bedroom carriage house to showcase my interior design services. He listened to what to I wanted to highlight and feature in each space and took his time to take every detail into consideration. He assisted me in staging the spaces so that the photo composition would be perfect. Charles has such a good eye for setting a scene that it made my work look polished and like it was from a magazine! Not only is Charles extremely skilled in capturing the perfect shot, he is professional and exceedingly knowledgeable in his field. He was able to create natural lighting when needed and he even created a fake fire in the fireplace that looks so real you cannot tell it was added in. Additionally, Charles was quick with turnaround from the time we had the photo shoot until the photos were sent back to me ready for my use. I was amazed at how quickly he was able to edit the photos given how much I know he had to do to get the lighting just right as well as edit out little things here and there that I requested he touch up. I would recommend Charles to anyone looking to photograph an interior or exterior space. I have seen the work that he can do for both and am impressed by his skills with a camera. I will be contracting him again in the future for my interior photography needs.

Charles shot my apartment after we did a bunch of renovations and redesigns, I couldn't be more happy! NYC apartment spaces are small, and have weird angles - that didn't deter him! He still got the shot. Even on a cloudy day, he got the lighting to look happy and inviting. So happy I have these images to share with family! (Fast turn around too!)

When Design*Sponge asked to feature my West Village apartment, I knew I needed an absolute pro to photograph the space. Charles did a phenomenal job and exceeded my expectations all around. He was extremely accommodating--the only time I could do the shoot was on a weekday before work, and he showed up on time and immediately put me at ease. He has an uncanny ability to bring spaces to life and manipulate difficult lighting and shadows that seem impossible to photograph. He also has a knack for working with people AND pets-- the photos he took of my husband and I with our dog, Penny are some of my favorite photos of all time. I would work with him again in a heartbeat.

Charles is amazing and his eye is just impeccable. His techniques with lighting showcase his knowledge of technology and we were floored with the results. The photos he took of our home were simply stunning. He went above and beyond, taking the time to get it right every time. We can't sing his praises enough. Our home has never looked better than in the photos he took. Thanks Charles!!
