Whole house remodel - more than $1000,000 – design 2017-2018 Before I start, I want to caveat that while I used Chuck Cohen for his architectural services, I did not end up proceeding with the renovation. This was entirely due to change of budget situation and priorities and should not reflect on Chuck. I enjoyed working with Chuck. At first he struck me as reserved and un-opinionated, but I realized he was quietly taking in my needs and internalizing the feedback I gave him. One of the things we faced contention on was moving the fireplace in order to have a bigger kitchen. I had just renovated the fireplace and was worried about the money I would waste on moving it again, and damaging the marble surround. However, over time, Chuck was able to remind me of my goals of a bigger kitchen, and that the fireplace could be relocated to achieve better space usage for both my kitchen and my living room. Chuck is very by the book and honest, but I think if you can get him to comfortably express his opinion and advocate for it, you can see his thought process shine. I realized that Chuck is very interested in serving the client's needs over being an advocate for his own architectural vision. I wish I had internalized his suggestions at bit better. He had really amazing design suggestions that I didn't even think about at first, and am glad I grew by incorporating some of ideas on flow and space. I hope to work with him again in the future.

I highly recommend C2Design services for anyone considering architectural and design projects. Chuck Cohen (the owner) is a detailed oriented and talented problem-solver who works diligently. He is sensitive to your overall vision and works within your budget to get the project done.

C2design and Chuck do a phenomenal job of being thoughtful, thorough and incrementally detailing out a set of plans so the vision of the project can really come alive!

If you are looking for an architect familiar with code, building materials, building types, and a knack for creative and thoughtful designs, look no further. In my experience as a structural engineer working with c2design, I have found Chuck's attention to detail and knowledge base refreshing. He is a great communicator and a conscientious advocate for his client's needs. Highly recommended.
