We did a first floor renovation that included our kitchen and built-in cabinetry around our fireplace. The quality of work is very good. There was not any major surprises or issues that came up during our process. We are extremely happy with how our kitchen and other cabinetry came in. Our project manager Bill was very responsive and quick to action any requests/questions or issues we were having. He was always a quick text or phone call away. I would definitely look at Central Island for future work.

CIC performed a gut renovation of a sizeable bathroom for us as well as transferring our washer/dryer from first to second floor. The bathroom came out beautifully! The entire team was easy to work with from Myron to Luis and Chris who came in for plumbing. Our project manager Bill was particularly wonderful - always responsive to every text or call and just overall a great guy to work with as he was easy to communicate with and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy.

This review is long overdue! CIC completed a major home renovation for our family over the course of ~6 months. The entire first floor of our -4000sqft home was gutted to the studs. We added a bathroom, removed walls, installed two steel beams, reworked a kitchen, and so much more. From the beginning, everyone at CIC was responsive, understanding, and above all proactive. It’s hard to see the big picture when you’re in the thick of it but Caleb is truly a mastermind behind the scenes. Every single day was, for the most part, orchestrated down to the most minute detail. There wasn’t a single day for literally months that there wasn’t a at least one CIC employee doing something to move the project along. A project of this size is stressful, there is no way around that but we knew at the end of the day this project would be done the right way. The guys at Center Island truly became family, the same crew showed up day after day. Big big shout out to Luis and Myron who were the kindest humans. We were so lucky to have them helping us. Honorable mention to Chris who brought the humor! We really loved all of the guys. My husband and I have recommended them to many of friends and would continue to do so. We are always happy to share our “success story” as so often you hear so many negative things. One other thing to note, our project spanned a time of economic instability. Prices were rising by the day and it was stressful worrying about what that would do to our project’s budget. Caleb and Evan were the utmost professionals walking us through this very difficult time, always leveling with us, always full disclosure, and always handled difficult conversations with tact. Center island team was incredible! I had my kitchen redone by them and they had the whole thing demo'd in days and started work immediately after. I was so happy with the work they did, I would recommend them to everyone! The finish on my kitchen is truly remarkable! They made my dream kitchen a reality! Very well done, professional and CLEAN! They stayed in constant communication throughout the whole process!

Working with Center Island Contracting was a great experience. Throughout the entire process there was open communication. The contractors kept the space as clean as possible, which was much appreciated while we were living through part of the renovations. Center Island Contracting did a dormer with a master suite (bedroom, bathroom, walk in closet), renovated an existing bathroom, resided and reroofed our home and added a fireplace. Their attention to detail, eye for design, and support is what sets them apart from other contractors in the area. The process moved along quickly. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome of our home and would use Center Island Contracting in a heartbeat again.

We recently completed a complete renovation of our entire first floor with Center Island. This work included a kitchen, bathroom, major structural work involving recessed steel beams, new floors windows and doors. We did our homework and interviewed several contractors before deciding on moving forward with Center Island. For us, it was a no brainer. Evan worked with us on the design and selections. The owner of the company was hands on and knew where our 7 month long project was at every phase. The team that came to the house…they showed up on time. They were all amazing to work with. As you can imagine renovating a home is stressful, but the Center Island team made it as smooth as possible. They set expectations. They listened and responded to our feedback and made things happen. We love the results. It was a long road to get the project done due to the scope, but I would select Center Island again. The main difference is that they are a company and not a crew in a work truck. They show up on time and do great work. They have actual plumbers, carpenters and electricians. They partner with really good subs (HVAC, counter tops , painters) who all seem to share the owner, Caleb, sense of attention to detail, client service and expertise.

We had a good experience. Our project was a complete remodel of a prewar classic 6 co-op in Garden CIty. Because of the building and town regulations we had to find a company able to provide adequate insurance coverage and documented experience in the field. We found CIC through a google search and had an initial appointment with Evan at their office in Farmingdale. We felt confortable as they demonstrated experience and knowledge. We also had the chance to meet Caleb during the first stages f the project. The project development was good. We received weekly updates, and our project manager, Mike, was diligent solving field issues. As all projects, there were unexpected problems and CIC were able to find solutions to all of them. Also, supply shortages and the pandemic brought some delays. The project took longer than planned but most delays were inherent to the nature of the project, not the contractor. Quality of labor and finishes were excellent, We are happy with the overall outcome.

CIC worked on my renovation project which included whole 1st floor of my house. They were very professional, accommodating and well organized throughout the project. Their recommendations were on target and honest. Mike, Myro and all of installation team as well as their office team did a great job. Caleb himself showed at my house to discussed the project around the fire place that I had contracted with CIC and he recommended me not to pursue the project in the scope and design I wanted it, which I think was very honest when you considering that he was helping me avoid some mistakes and save money during the project and this says a lot about him and the company he leads.

Just an Awesome experience from start to finish, I appreciated the communication from the office and Project Manager. We plan on doing next phase of project next year and look forward to another great experience, Thank you so much!
