We hired Coastal Builders to design and build a 28’ x 14’ deck on the front of our house in April 2022. They were fully engaged as we planned the project, asking for and incorporating our input in the design, and they did a nice project handover and site walkthrough as construction ramped up. During construction, their foreman answered our numerous questions, checked with us regularly, and solicited input and our approval along the way. We observed the care they took throughout, such as ensuring proper placement of footers, replacing substandard materials from the lumberyard, cleaning the worksite daily, and ensuring the deck’s railings were aligned to each other, plumb and square. The final product exceeded our expectations. They even met an aggressive deadline that enabled us to use the deck for a family function. I would definitely consider hiring Coastal Builders on future projects!

We have hired Coastal Builders to do several projects over many years, including finishing our basement (late 1990's), adding a two-story addition (2003), remodeling the kitchen (2003), building a roof over our basement stairway (2012), building a small deck (2012), and finishing a laundry room (2012). We love that Coastal Builders assigns a project lead for each project who is committed to our job and is on-site every day to do the work and oversee any subcontractors. We also love that every lead carpenter maintains a clean and neat workspace at the end of every day. Coastal Builders have consistently been well-priced and careful about managing the work to stay within our budgets, always discussing any changes and associated costs and documenting them in writing before proceeding. They are all-around nice guys with superb carpentry skills and we have never been disappointed. We look forward to our next project with Coastal Builders!

Coastal Builders has done three major remodeling jobs on our home. When a bathroom remodeling job was incorrectly done by another contractor, we called the National Home Builders Association for the name of a reputable company in our area. Coastal Builders was among those on the list they gave us. Coastal did a remarkable job and brought the project to a successful finish. We then engaged them to design and build a new addition to our house. The addition entailed removing the garage, building an extension that included a complete master bedroom suite and adding a new garage. The design was seemless -it looks like it was always part of the original design of the house - and the master bedroom suite is everything we had hoped for. The third job was a complete remodeling of our kitchen with state of the art design, materials and appliances. Our kitchen consistently receives rave reviews. The workmanship is exemplary -- these folks are true professionals and master craftsmen. As important is the fact that they stand by their work, are respectful of budgets and timelines and no call goes unanswered.

Coastal Builders designed and built a beautiful addition on our home. They were extremely professional throughout the process and never lost sight of the fact that we were living in the house thoughout the project. This renovation included a brand new kitchen and throughout the project we were only without a stove and sink for one day - they kept our kitchen functioning. On top of the great service, Coastal offered a very competitive price and their were no poject or cost surprises - they communicated with us on a daily basis. I hired Coastal to build a garage and carport. Construction started in early January and proceded through March. I was impressed that the lead carpenter came every day in rain and bitter cold to keep the project moving. Coastal has a good set of sub-contractors who are very responsive and also keep the work on schedule. Rich Campbell, the owner, worked with me during the design phase to get my project cost down to my budget. This is the second time I have hired Coastal. Ten years ago I had them put an addition on my house. Because of the good experience I had then I decided to use them again. I have not been disappointed.
