Country by Design

Sherry helped me earlier in my life, as single parent, busy career, bought my dream plot of land, filled it with pet critters including horses, dogs, cats, chickens first priority. I arranged a trailer for live in, which was very well used, but enabled life on the farm. There was also the very well used historic heritage "Eaton's house" that was built in 1930's or so. It was a tiny little shack that belonged to nature, with no windows or plumbing, and raw basement that housed early settlers who were long gone. As I had spent funds for land and barn for my critters, i decided i couldn't afford a new home, my dream home on this property. Rather, i asked Sherry to renovate and restore, with me, the old heritage house. That's what she did, and i will never forget her help in doing this, now more than 20 years ago. We were conservative, but we turned it into window home, looking in all directions at my paradise property and all of the wild and domestic animals all these years. My granddaughter grew up here, and graduates from nursing now. But this property remains my dream, and now i wish to build the larger, comfort dream home on this spot, so that i can rent the beautiful small reno house to caretaker while partner and i can travel the world knowing the animal family is well looked after! Need i say more? Sherry!! You made such a difference by your helping hand earlier in my life! Can we do this again? She is great!!! I'm looking for her, still in business. She is adaptable, realistic, patient, creative, competent, and fun...... !!!

Loved working with Sherry, she was professional and provided superior service in taking us through the process of designing a commercial/residential main street infill project . The project was unique and our expectations were to have a highly functioning upscale project that provided the 'best' use of space with a design that was set in a 28' X 90' space. Also challenged with the need for great lighting in a commercially zoned property where no windows could be placed on the sides without taking prime real estate. Sherry was both innovative and used her expertise and experience to create a space that feels 'downtown'; the space features sun tunnels and sky lights (there is no SADD here). We love everything about the space from the two-car garage to the covered back deck. The commercial space is leased as an office space and serves our community well. Modern features with a traditional feel - exactly what we were envisioning. Always grateful for Sherry's wisdom and willingness to capture our vision! We have and will continue to recommend Country By Design.

We LOVE the infill family home that Sherry designed for us. We have now been living in it for a few months and wouldn't change the design at all. This is a direct result of the time that Sherry took to listen to our needs and wants throughout the process. She asked a lot of questions during our initial discussions to determine the amount of space we needed in certain areas, and throughout the process also considered how our needs/wants would evolve over time.

Very knowledgeable. Sherry has great expertise and pays attention to the smallest of details. She works with you through the whole process. If you have a question she is there to help. We love how she thought of all those little things that make a big difference. She visited our site and designed with the view and landscape in mind. She even thought of where each window should be placed based on where the sun rises and sets! We are very thankful for her insight. Sherry made our dream home even better than we ever imagined. She worked within our budget and found great little ways of trimming expenses where ever possible. Her suggestions were so insightful. Honest and personable with lots of patience. She truly puts customer satisfaction first and designs with heart.

We spent many months trying to find someone who understood what we wanted for our rural home. Most didn't understand how to make our ideas into reality because the layout wasn't the "standard." When we met Sherry, by chance ,she worked with us, and visited the site She took the time and effort that was needed and asked many questions no one had ever asked us before. Questions that mad a difference! I have spaces that are usable and that function the way that I wanted. It was wonderful to work with a woman drafts person/designer because they really do understand things differently, especially for important things like storage and functionality. Her design was worth every penny !!!! and we have seen it over and over again since, compared to other new house where they don't take the time or spend the money to really plan knowledgably and yet spend the same $100,000's . Sherry listened to us and was so helpful in so many ways. We are grateful for her talents in design. She was so invaluable to us, in making our dream home a reality !
