Davisville Kitchens

We hired Davisville Kitchens for our condo kitchen remodel. They sold us on the fact that they are a one-stop shop and even convinced us to do our flooring with them so that everything could be done seamlessly. This was not the case, and we were often left on our own to manage the contractor (with whom we had multiple issues, which I wont get into for the purpose of this review). We were also placed in awkward situations between Davisville Kitchens and the contractor (who they brought on) over who was responsible for these issues. The work began in late August and we still have appointments with their counter installer in mid-December to address defects. While we had high expectations for Davisville kitchens and overall are happy with our kitchen, I would go elsewhere if I could do it all over again. Considering the price point (over $25K just for cabinetry, counter and backsplash and installation - all contractor work was extra), the experience and quality were sub-par. The main issue has been the lack of QA of work done by their installers, and the months long back and forth filled with awkward conversations over obvious defects (the person we work with at Davisville Kitchens will at first act like they don't see the defect and then shrug it off leaving us to suggest possible solutions), missed appointments, people constantly in our home, messes to clean up after, etc. A key example is that Davisville Kitchens let the electrician decide where to place the light box for the under cabinet lighting. It was placed inside the cabinet under the shelf, requiring a thick piece of wood to be placed on top and drastically reducing the height of our cabinet. It took multiple heated conversations with Davisville Kitchens before they agreed to move the light box behind the cabinet wall - all of which took a couple of hours of work by the contractor and should have been planned for up front. We also had to go back and forth over issues with cabinetry not being aligned, sloppy paint and caulking, toe kick drawers not working, etc etc. the biggest concern is that the base of our new island is splitting at the corner. The cabinetry installer told us that it was likely caused by the weight of the counter when it was installed (separate installer) and there is nothing he can do other than paint over it. Davisville kitchens has shrugged this off and are not offering a resolution. I will let the pictures speak for themselves - if this is the standard you would be ok with for the price point, then by all means Davisville Kitchens is a good choice.

Best retirement gift to myself was a Davisville kitchen! Not only is the kitchen beautifully designed but is highly functional too. DK made the process easy and seamless from working with my designer, to installation and follow up. Thanks for such a wonderful gift!

Our experience with Davisville Kitchens was a very positive one. Both Janelle and Jeff were patient and accommodating when it came to taking our ideas into consideration. They were both extremely pleasant to work with and responded to any issues we had promptly and efficiently. Our kitchen is small and was part of a complete ground floor renovation. It's very high use and we're loving the reconfigured layout. Would highly recommend.

I hired Davisville to do my condo kitchen. I knew i wanted white slab cabinets with some detail on drawers and peninsula. Wish now id done that detail on all the doors! There were a few issues with measurements at the manufacturing level but in the end i got what i had envisioned. Janelle suggested some ways to add more storage to the kitchen which worked really well. I'd have no problem recommending Davisville Kitchens

I feel like I lucked out when I walked into Davisville Kitchens to discuss my new kitchen project. I met Gail (Hamilton), who from that moment on has been courteous, patient and knowledgeable when I needed it most. In fact all of the talented people I met from Davisville Kitchens were a delight to work with and you definitely felt they were passionate about their work and cared about the quality of the finished installation. Gail visited a number of times to ensure things were going according to plan and that I was pleased with the work done. I would highly recommend visiting Gail to discuss your next project. We had an excellent experience working with Amanda & Jeff of Davisville Kitchens and very happy with our new kitchen. Amanda was very professional with great design ideas, She brought 2 different concepts and we chose the one outside of our original thinking that had her creative flair and eye for details. Amanda kept us on track with her collaborative and easy going style and was effective in guiding the decision making process without feeling overwhelmed. As we were replacing a large kitchen, I was most concerned with functionality and a quality product which they have delivered. Jeff has come by to make small adjustments and their customer service is second to none. With tweaks along the way we were also able to remain within budget! We went to Amanda Rose at Davisville Kitchens knowing that we wanted to renovate our kitchen, but not knowing much else. We didn’t have any specific ideas on design, cabinets, countertops, etc. Amanda did an excellent job working with us to identify our taste and needs, and designed a kitchen that suited us perfectly. Amanda got right to the point in identifying what she thought would work and what wouldn’t, and didn’t overwhelm us with too many options and choices along the way. In short, she was a pleasure to work with and allowed us to get exactly what we wanted with a collaborative easy-going manner. We would definitely recommend working with Amanda and Davisville Kitchens.

We have been extremely pleased with DK. The design, right down to all the details, is perfect! Our kitchen is very small and we took out a wall to create an open concept. There was absolutely no room for play in the dimensions and we needed the cabinets laid out to maximize the use of space. Amanda nailed the layout perfectly and worked though all the picky details. The kitchen suits the rest of our home, fits like a glove and functions very will. Jeff and Amanda work hard to please their customers delivering high quality products on time and on budget. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

We retained Davisville Kitchens to design and install our kitchen as part of our home renovation. It was a pleasure working with Amanda and Jeff. Amanda provided wonderful design insight and was an extremely effective project manager working on all aspects including cabinets, countertops, tile and hardware selection, as well as, appliance coordination. Install went well, appliances and counters were a perfect fit. The result was a beautiful bespoke kitchen which was delivered on time and on budget.

Jeff and Gail are great! They are responsive and professional. The install crew did a good job too. I love my new beautiful kitchen. Everything is so well thought out. I have the perfect space for my china, cutlery, pots and pans, and all kinds of gadgets.

We continue to be extremely pleased with our 2011 kitchen renovation and the outstanding on-going support from both Jeff and Amanda. They partnered with us to create a solution that suited our needs and captured the look we wanted. In November 2018 Jeff promptly responded to a request to adjust a hinge and undertook a full review of all of the hinges and drawers to ensure their alignment after years of use. Amanda connected us with a specialist in granite counter repairs to have a small chip (don't drop pots on the edge of the sink!) expertly filled so that the repair is invisible. We highly recommend DK!
