We are grateful to Dawn for helping us with the remodel of our 1990’s house, from outside paint and inside paint colors, fabric for drapes, kitchen countertops and backsplash, lighting, and more. We seriously couldn’t have done it this well without her. Not only is her design talent top notch, she’s fun to work with.

When I found out that our 100 year old house was going to need to have a large upstairs shower totally gutted and replaced due to a leak, I panicked. In our busy lives we considered hiring a decorator as a luxury only for “exclusive rich families.” I was embarrassed about our house but desperately in need of professional guidance. Dawn put me totally at ease and was so encouraging and positive. She walked me through the process of what to expect and gave such a quick response to suggestions for our project. I thought I would have to wait for two months to get the needed contractor but was able to find a group with great references to start immediately. On very short notice Dawn had everything lined up on the Houzz service and connected with their rep to find very specific shower fixtures with needed parts to assure the project started rolling! I was amazed at how efficiently and quickly I received exactly what we were needing. The project has been running smoothly in record time and I am thrilled at her decorating advice. We have a very small house and need to make the most of the space. I was so hoping she would take on a "small" job and boy did she ever! Dawn came to my house and studied every room I wanted her touch in. She asked all the right questions. Her experience was obvious. I have so many notes and already making changes. At some point I'll have an album for before Dawn D Totty and after Dawn D Totty changes we made and I can't wait to share them all. I found Dawn on Houzz the day we were moving into our 1972 "modern but needs a lot of help" home in Dalton GA. I reviewed her portfolio and found it clean and fresh with the right mix of eclectic flair that I have always loved. I reached out to Dawn and she contacted me immediately. So professional, so prompt. She was out to the house the next day and clearly explained the various ways we could work together. This was a massive project -- we tore out walls, flooring, put in new walls, new flooring, renovated a bathroom and several bedrooms, gutted the boxy kitchen to create an wide open cooking and eating space. I loved the way she had me involved in the project from start to finish. She steered me away from fad, kept me focused on value, quality, and timeless design. She always explained the "why" -- lighting and placement, finishes, flooring materials, furniture, rug sizing, shape and color. EVERYTHING. I learned so much from Dawn and cannot wait to complete the rest of my home with her. She is trustworthy, decisive, communicative, collaborative, and tough. I am a headstrong woman that has to work with people with conviction, She is not wishy-washy, she will manage to your budget, and she will engage you to the extent that you desire to be engaged. Oh yes, there were times when I could not make a decision and would just simply ask "Dawn, what do you recommend and why?" And she would tell me clearly, without hesitation. She has an arsenal of ideas, and access to some amazing finisher, flooring and cabinet specialists, etc. We had a custom wall designed, a fireplace, a large moss wall art piece and a stained glass piece designed specifically for my home -- all managed within my budget. Dawn is exceptional. If you are thinking of engaging with her on a project, just stop now and do it. You will not regret. I will try to share some before and after pictures if I can edit this review!

Extremely disappointed with Dawn’s work on our house. Liked it better before she got a hold of it and what a waste of money.

If you're like me, you may think you've got this...but no you don't! Call Dawn before you spend and save money in the end! I needed that motto 2 years ago, but in 2020, Dawn came answered our call and she will yours. She is totally genuine and will guide you in the right direction with her ideas and professionalism that is beyond reproach. She has changed our home from ok to amazing with the rooms we changed. If 10 stars were an option, we would have chosen that! Dawn helped us transform our bland office to the true healing sanctuary of our dreams. Not only that, but she increased our quality of life because our office is our second home and we are so happy to be here everyday! When people walk in they instantly feel that they are in the right place. Dawn is such an incredible woman and we cannot recommend her enough!

Dawn just made my downstairs redesign a total success, which I’m thrilled about. My house was built in 99. Though it has a lot of great natural character, it was starting to feel dark, dated... and frankly, a bit depressing. The problem? I didn’t have a massive budget. The solution? Dawn quickly assured me that my house had infinite potential, and that I could do a lot for a little. She was so right. She advised me on everything from colors, to paint, to decor, to light fixtures and everything in between. She helped me to salvage some of what I already have, to reasonably replace, and to accentuate my home’s natural beauty. My living and dining area is now so much more modern, inviting, cheery, bright, crisp, and energetic, yet so very relaxing. She gave me advice on things I never even thought of, and her thoughts were spot on! I loooove my new space. Even our master bedroom feels so much better. It’s cozier than ever, and my sleep quality is better than ever. She has also guided me on my kitchen (which is currently in progress), and I’m so excited for the finished product. Before talking to Dawn, I thought I either needed a massive budget to replace everything, or that it was just a lost cause. I was so wrong! I’m now so excited and proud to have people over. If you loved your home when you first bought it, but lost some love over time.... Dawn can make you fall in love with it all over again. Highly recommend!

I am so glad we found Dawn. Her approach to design is fresh and not cookie cutter. She listened carefully and helped me put our den together in to a beautiful but useful room. I look forward to a few more projects. And we stayed within budget!

I would highly recommend Dawn for any interior design needs!! Her spirit and abilities were far beyond our expectations! Dawn put her heart and soul into redesign of our Children’s Advocacy Center and I will say without a doubt there is not a more warm inviting and comfortable center in the United States! Our center will be a safe comforting center for so many children that are victims of child abuse and neglect.
