Delly D. Yaker

We had a very small house and we were in urgent need of an addition and a major upgrade. We had contacted Delly Yaker after receiving 2 other consultations from other architects. Our budget was limited and we wanted to maximize the space we can build on without getting into the headaches of a variance permit. Delly was SPOT ON! She just got it. She came to our house and after taking lots of measurements, she produces (after only few days) an incredible deign which we just loved. Further more Delly was sensitive enough to never push us into designs and concepts that we were not comfortable with, but at the same time she knew how to insist on the crucial issues ( that now we realize how CORRECT she was, like changing our ugly yellow siding with an elegant dark grey). We are almost done with this major project and we can't thanks her enough for her incredible input and professionalism. We are thrilled wit the results! Delly is a super patience person and working with her was and is a joy.

My wife and I have used Delly for both residential and commercial projects. She has a wonderful design sense and is great at helping us first develop and refine our vision. She then provides options for each design element and helps us create a palate that really works together and of course looks great when constructed. She always responds quickly to any questions we have and when any issues have arisen during construction she has provided us with multiple options to resolve them. Whether it be our media room, our bathroom renovation or my office waiting room makeover, she is equally comfortable with any job type and I have used her expertise on multiple occasions. She is a true professional and always helps us to understand why one option makes better functional or design sense than another. She never forces her vision on us but helps us to understand which options work well together and guides us through the selection process in a logical and structured way. Delly is respectful and relaxed to work with. We highly recommend her.
