Dennis A. Barth - Landscape Architect opened in April 2015 to provide landscape design, management and consulting services. Whether its Modern Coastal, Mediterranean or Contemporary to Florida Cottage and West Indies architecture, he incorporates elements of nature, art and beautiful design to create captivating spaces that connect both inside and outside worlds. As a Florida native, his understanding of Florida’s tropical and coastal vegetation, provides clients with a unique design that can evolve & mature over time. Each successful design project is based on an open & collaborative dialogue with each client, a respect for the budget and a vision that’s carried out with an entire team including: general contractor, architect, interior designer and subcontractor(s). The overall management scope includes: design concepts/finished drawings, site visits, sourcing quality materials & managing installations. With nearly 30yrs. experience in Sarasota / Manatee County, Dennis’ projects include: waterfront luxury homes, golf course clubhouses, parks, planned residential communities, restaurants, assisted living facilities, small hotels and some commercial design. Most of these designs can be seen on the Sarasota Bayfront, Bird Key, Longboat Key, Lido Key, Siesta Key, Manasota and Casey Keys. His work has been published between 2006-2020 in the following magazines: SRQ Magazine, Veranda, Sarasota Magazine Home & Garden Annual, Sarasota Homes & Lifestyles, Home & Design Luxury Home Magazine, Florida Design and Home & Design Suncoast Edition. The company planted trees that did not require a lot of water but yet installed a system that watered the trees because other planting they did required the water. Trees and most plants have died. They installed the worse system I have ever seen.

Sorry to hear you feel that way. Trees and palms are always put on a separate bubbler zone to ensure they have enough water since they will require more water than the plants around them. Bubblers installed are adjustable to control flow of water or to be shut off if additional water is not needed. This makes it easy for the maintenance company to make adjustments as needed. Dennis designed the landscaping/hardscaping and managed the installation for our back yard in Sarasota, FL. We couldn't be happier with how it turned out. The plant material beautifully accents our Mid-Century Modern home. For the hardscaping, he used shellcrete slabs with crushed granite to separate them, in addition to 24" x 24" Shellock Artistic Pavers. The combination looks amazing. In addition to his great design work, Dennis is a pleasure to work with. He is one of the nicest people you will ever meet.

Dennis A. Barth designed the grounds of Dream Island Paradise for us. He is very profession with awesome, creative design ideas. I loved working with him on the plans, hardscape, plant and tree selections. I have a beautiful pool with marble deck, stunning coping and single piece stairs, 13 fire bowls with stone pillars, and Chicago reclamation brick for the driveway.
