Irene of Designstiles helped with the interior design of our colonial style house's remodeled kitchen and bathrooms. From the start, Irene was a great help in creating the designs for each of the rooms. She asked about our preferences and created her initial designs accordingly. Also, Irene was flexible to incorporating our requests after we viewed her initial design ideas too. I am so grateful for Irene's creativity because each room has its own character but yet flows with the rest of the house. Irene was especially helpful to support me via consultation and representation during construction as we dealt with various issues. It was a truly a pleasure and blessing to have had Irene as part of the remodel team.

I worked with Irene recently on redesigning a couple of rooms in our home and I was continuously impressed with her eye for patterns and textures. There were several pieces, furniture, tchotchkes, etc. which I felt for sure would have to be donated or scrapped during this whole process but Irene was able to give them a second life. She really knows how to work with what you already have, which my family and I greatly appreciated from a sustainable (and financial haha) perspective. She was always super responsive with any questions I had and was quick with alternative solutions if certain items were backordered or out of stock (hello pandemic). It was so refreshing working with Irene at Designstiles! There are very few companies or people for that matter, these days that have such a wonderful work ethic. Irene and her team are truly a dream to work with. We got into contact with Irene to remodel our guest house. Irene was able to listen to our ideas and how we would like to use the space and provide great, creative ideas within the budget. The final project came out beautiful, functional, and full of style. I could not have been happier with my guest home. I’ll definitely be reaching out to her again in the future.

Working with Irene was enjoyable and effortless because of how well she noted what my wife and I had in mind for our daughter’s bedroom. We were transitioning our toddler into a “big girl” bed and so this project was extra special for the whole family. We didn’t know how to incorporate the corner window into the room and Irene came up with the “reading corner” that ended up being our favorite thing about the room. Irene is professional while still being personal and easy to work with and I noted how much my wife loved working with her. I appreciated how prompt she is with replies and moving the projects along in a timely manner. I also appreciate her organization with billing, receipts and the such. Overall a great person to work with and look forward to working with her on future projects.

Irene is an absolute dream to work with. She has creative and beautiful ideas. I love everything we have worked on together. She has designed full rooms like my daughter's nursery, our toddler room, and guest room as well as smaller projects around the house like reupholstering living room chairs, custom shades, and choosing a couple bathroom faucets. Irene is quick to respond and very efficient. She gets a lot done in an hour! Irene really listens to how you plan on using your space, gets to understand your style and will do everything she can to work within your budget. She is very realistic and honest about how long things will take a what the overall cost will be. I'm proud of my home and so grateful for Irene!

I hired Irene to help me decorate my son's nursery and I was very impressed with what she came up with on a limited budget. She has a very good eye for potential and she helped me repurpose some things I already had. She came up with a great color scheme to go with my Wild Things picture that I wanted as a focal point. I wanted colors and items that were gender neutral and I loved her ideas. She paid a lot of attention to detail and even came up with a way to use cotton tablecloths form my baby shower as a crib skirt! She was very willing to work with my budget and I was very pleased with the results. She was easy to work with and very professional.

Irene and her team are fantastic!!! We've now hired her for three projects: our starter home (including our son's nursery - which was featured in Ventura Blvd. magazine!), my small office in Studio City, and now our latest home renovation. She has amazing vision and a very strong grasp on design concepts & the industry. Our spaces look marvelous, and we get compliments (literally) every day on the new home. Most important, she is really professional, communicative, and sweet, which that helped us through some difficult decisions. I would recommend her and her team in a heartbeat and we are thankful that we found designstiles.

Unfortunately, we had to terminate the contract with Irene. After several months of work and thousands of dollars spent, there was no vision or overall picture of how the house should look... The communication from Irene was most of the time cold, impersonal, not caring. There was no excitement about the design. There was no proactiveness, it felt like we had to always ask for the updates. After we’ve agreed to discontinue working, I asked Irene to send the summary of the work with the list of the few items that were approved. To my surprise, she said they don’t provide any details of the items, and I should research the items myself. So what did we pay $$$$ for?...

Irene completely re-did an office/ den in my 1923 built home and turned it into an office/ library. The room was painted a beautiful shade that she chose, custom built shelving was put in, the carpet was taken out and the wood floor underneath was sanded, stained and varnished. She ordered a custom built couch, a leather chair, a brass side table with glass top, and a gorgeous area rug. All new lighting was put in as well. It is really wonderful. She is easy to work with, has great taste and terrific sources. I highly recommend her.

Part of the way into a major bathroom renovation & build out, my husband and I realized that we needed serious help "pulling it all together". Although our contractor reassured us that they & their individual vendors would help make our bathroom feel like a cohesive oasis, we weren't convinced that they (and we) had the sense of style to achieve this. After researching interior designers, we called Irene at Designstiles and we're so happy that we did. Not only is Irene talented with an amazing eye for style and detail but she is one of the sweetest people around. She & Flavia (also very talented and sweet!) helped us choose everything from our shower tiles to our light fixtures to our wall paint. Irene designed our custom shower, helped design and commissioned her cabinet guy to build our double vanity based on a combination of cabinets that we liked & she also had him build gorgeous wall paneling that surrounded the mirrors. Our goal of a beautiful, upscale & cohesive bathroom was achieved because of Irene & we couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. At some point we'll be doing a kitchen remodel and we'll definitely be calling Irene to help with that!

Words cannot express how much my husband and I adore Irene. We moved into our newly constructed home last August and were overwhelmed with decorating our new home. Thank goodness we called Designstiles and found Irene! She was able to get a true sense of how we wanted our house decorated and exceeded our expectations. She was able to make our home fashionable, impressionable and inviting all at the same time. Whenever new friends or family enter our home, they comment on how amazing the decor is and how inviting it is at the same time. This was our ultimate goal. Irene is able to walk into our home and move furniture, pictures, and pillows around to make it look 100% better. Sill to this day, I do not know how she does it. This is how we know she is meant to be an interior designer. In addition to her amazing sense of style, she is an joy to work with. She is sweet, funny and has become part of our family. We will forever be grateful for her making our home so beautiful.
