Jimmy Brattain and his team of professionals thoroughly impressed us with their expertise, knowledge, and most importantly, Honesty. I place my confidence in this outfit, having had a completely satisfying and pleasant experience in the finding and repairing of a sagging beam beneath my home (in the crawl space). I pray and hope we can have them redo out bath and kitchen.

DO NOT USE - Hired to build a zero grade shower, kitchen, and install washer/dryer. The zero grade shower was probably the most important for a 90 yr old grandma, the shower has a step and was told after weeks into demolishing that it needed a step due to the size of the shower. I had had another electrician come out after electrical stopped working in bathroom, had 4 live wires in one outlet? Ran water and electrical lines twice for washer n dryer since the plumbing wasn't done properly. Spent thousands of dollars out of pocket to correct. Brought it up when submitted the last 800 dollar invoice and got a certified letter for a lein judgement on my house 2 weeks later. DO NOT USE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE!

Design Works hired my company to build custom concrete vanities for their client. The design of each room was meticulously planned. Having worked with concrete in previous projects, Jimmy was well versed with what could be achieved with the medium. It's an honor to work for such a talented design/build team and it makes my job of creating something beautiful much easier when all the details are so carefully considered. I look forward with great anticipation to another project with Design Works.

Design Works planned, designed and rebuilt the back of our house. They also redesigned our roof line to eliminate a flat roof. This required extensive truss work. Design Works also supplied all of the labor and subcontractors. Now when our friends and guests walk into the porch area in the back of our house their reaction is always "Wow!" Jimmy's design ideas were truly unique. From start to finish, working with Jimmy Brattain and workers was a pleasure. They were always polite, neat and friendly. Jimmy was on site at least daily and often 2 or 3 times. His attention to detail was amazing. We would highly recommend Design works for any project.

Where do I start! Jimmy has been absolutely amazing! I am a first time home owner and the home I purchased needed some foundation work done and the master bathroom needed renovating. The foundation damage to the home was more serious than we thought, but Jimmy and his staff took care of it without any hiccups. Jimmy guided me step by step, providing precise details, while sticking to the budget in a timely fashion. I really didn't have a specific design scheme in mind, utilizing the Houzz app, Jimmy told me to choose a couple bathrooms that caught my eye. Utilizing my choices I sent, Jimmy designed my dream bathroom in the matter of days. It was an amazing experience working with Design Works and I highly recommend their services.

Design Works recently took charge of the renovation and remodeling of our outdated 1960's Florida home, transforming it into a lovely open plan living space. Jimmy Brattain provided the inspiration and expertise throughout this process, along with his skilled team of contractors, so we now have the home of our dreams. From the enhanced natural light of our kitchen atrium, to the quirky feel of the cast iron claw foot tub in our fully updated bathroom, we could not be happier. I contracted Design Works to fix a sagging floor in my vacation rental property. Upon initial inspection the repair was going to be somewhat minor in jacking up the house and reinforcing / sistering in other beams. Once involved in the project the problem turned out to be worse than expected and a whole bath had to be removed from my property just so they could get to the root of the problem. This resulted in essentially all 3 of my units in this building being unavailable while repairs were being made. Luckily they were not booked during those dates. But with the problem being worse than initially diagnosed, time was now of the essence as I had guests coming in less than two weeks that were booked into all 3 units. Jimmy and his team assured me they would have the place ready by the time my guests arrived and they did. While I was nervous through the process, they delivered. I cannot thank them enough as I would have had guests from out of country out of a place to stay at peak season and nowhere to send them. Design Works took my changed deadline and delivered without sacrificing quality. Their team worked late hours and weekends to meet my deadline. I'd absolutely use them again. Why: Quality of work. The fair pricing schedule that was arranged and not changed when the scope of work changed (cost plus) Commitment to getting the job done on time. Follow through until the last screw was turned.

I was fortunate to work with Jimmy Brattain of Design Works in the renovation and design of a condominium in Clearwater, Florida. Jimmy was able to come up with a design to maximize the impact of the space and turn it into a piece of artwork. It boggled my mind in what he was able to do with the limited square footage. Jimmy, in my opinion, is first and foremost a true artist and most intuitive. We later sold the condominium in record time at a great price. I have since seen some of his other work and see as with each project he undertakes, he seems to reach far beyond the existing trends; continuing to tap into his seemingly boundless creatively. He is a true gem and, I consider, his integrity second to none.
