We are a custom design/builder that focuses on our flexible creative design/build system to deliver our customers dreams and wishes. We listen and then we use our knowledge, experience and professionalism to help formulate a process to best achieve the desired result for each project. Two Story Building remodeled an original bathroom, creating a modern wet room with an open floor plan and lofted ceiling. They were willing to work with our design and install a custom cabinet that we built and provided, and they solved some structural issues at the beginning which allowed us to move forward with the original design intact. They were meticulous in their attention to detail, making sure that we understood any issues that arose, and were infinitely patient and respectful of our requests and concerns. There was never an impatient reaction, or air of condescension, even when we had multiple questions or when small changes were made mid-way through the process. The subcontractors were professional and obliging, and I felt that Two Storey did an excellent job pairing the workers to the job. For instance, because of the design, this room was all about the larger format tile, which was installed on all four walls, floor to ceiling, and the work required a good amount of planning to get the layout correct. The tile installer spent a full day with us and making sure he understood exactly what we wanted. The electrician was also extremely careful in his planning, which allowed the rest of the building and installations to proceed without a hitch. The project was completed in a timely way and came in under budget and the room looks and functions exactly as we hoped. We so appreciate the way the whole team worked to realized our vision and for adding greatly to the enjoyment and value of our home.

Doug and his team designed and completed a new 3 car garage and master suite. Project was on budget and time, his crews were all very respectful and made sure each day the job site was clean which we really appreciated since we were still living in the house with 4 kids around the addition. Doug was easy to work with on design changes and kept us up to date with when to expect each step and subcontractor to be on the job.

We were impressed with Two Storey Building the moment they came to our house to discuss our kitchen remodel project and goals. They were professional, very knowledgeable, experienced in building whole homes, and very engaged. They even organized a whole day to drive 2 hrs with us to a custom cabinet showroom and manufacturing floor so we could learn more about the process, our choices, and meet with our kitchen designer in person. This was our first time going through a remodel, and we did a lot of research along the way. Still, we are so grateful for Doug, Camden, Mat, and Sam for making the process as stress-free and as predictable as possible. They were not only communicative and transparent with us throughout the project, but they were also respectful of our decisions and accommodating to our requests. We were able to stay very close to the initial estimated schedule. Their choice of trade partners is also top notch! After a while, it was good to be able to just trust that the companies they work with (for the electrical work, flooring, painting, etc.) were all best in class and reliable. We are beyond thrilled with the result and are already thinking about future projects we'll want to do with them.

We contacted Two Storey Building when we were considering building an accessory in-law apartment on our home. I had previously owned a house they had built and been satisfied with the quality of that product. Through all phases of this project, they were honest, responsive and professional. All factors including design and materials, time to complete and costs involved were clearly defined and met. They made what could be a very stressful situation seamless. The final product not only met but exceeded our expectations.

Two Storey was great to work with for our recent bathroom renovation. They are good at everything from start to finish. Their communication is excellent. One of the things that really impressed us was how respectful they were of our property and of us. We have worked with other contractors before, but Two Storey is tops. Not only does our bathroom look fantastic, but we are already planning our next project with them.

Doug and his crew did a excellent job! very professional and easy to deal with it , they remodeled my basement and did so with very little problems came in exactly on budget, and the work was world class with great quality, I've worked with general contractors before and found this experience a first class A compared to others ive worked with , the work was done on time and on budget , you wont go wrong using Two Storey!

Our family's dream was to convert a barn/garage into an in-law apartment so that multiple generations could reside comfortably on the same property. Doug and his team were with us every step of the way, from initial concept through detailed design and build-out. The Two Storey Building team (and their subcontractors) spent *a lot* of time on our property, and everyone was always super helpful and careful. They kept us informed about the schedule and let us know about any changes or adjustments. When we had to make key decisions, Doug and his team made sure we had plenty of options and they talked us through the pros and cons. Overall, it was a great experience and we are totally thrilled with the finished project. Thank you, Two Storey Building!

Two Storey Building was a great fit for us in a number of ways: they are an environmentally focused/green company, they were willing to put up with changes in plans to expand or contract the project as needed, they were willing to use recycled or re-used materials when we could get them - and in one case, helped us get them! (2200 SF of re-purposed barn board), and they enjoyed working on our small, quirky yet complex project! This was the first time we have hired a general contractor, and they were well worth the extra money, identifying and coordinating extremely skilled crews from framing and roofing to electricians and plumbing and painting; procuring necessary permits; even finding a well contractor to dig a new well with good water. Crews were uniformly courteous and considerate of our very close (14 feet away!) 92 year old neighbor. During COVID, many construction projects are delayed months for lack of people and material resources, and Doug of TSB used his expertise and connections to minimize delays greatly. Mat, his lead carpenter, was patient and skillful, and had great design ideas but also worked our design concepts into the final picture. I would more accurately give them a 4.5 rating: we had some communication issues, some of which were our fault for not understanding all the details and ramifications, some of which were the responsibility of TSB - but to their credit, they accepted responsibility and apologized, and were eager to improve communication as we moved forward. No company is perfect, but I would definitely use TSB again if needed. They are good people, want the customer to be highly pleased with the final product and highly skilled at what they do.
