We lived and raised our kids in our 3 bedroom home in Sugar Land Texas since 1992. My husband and I moved to California in 2017 for a job opportunity. We’ve leased our house out for the last 7 years, but now intend to retire back to Texas in 2026. Since we love the Sugar Land area, we decided to do a complete home renovation. We found DHY Texas Builders through the Buildzoom Project Management Company. We did interview 2 other contractors Buildzoom introduced, but were so impressed at the get go by how Joseph Hadad (with DHY Texas Builders) took so much time to really painstakingly study and try to understand our vision. We talked with Joseph for a whole 2 hours on a Sunday, and we knew immediately we’d found our guy! Joseph put together for us a detailed home remodel plan. He reworked and adjusted the plan to fit our needs and our budget accordingly without ever compromising on quality. There are items we still want to incorporate in the near future and we intend to call no one but Joseph again when the time comes. Our renovation project involved a complete kitchen makeover, breaking down the wall between the existing dining room and kitchen, and between the kitchen and living area to create a totally open living space. A kitchen island was added along with plenty of new custom cabinets and recessed lighting. Old shelving on either side of the fireplace were torn down and new windows added in their stead. The old brick fireplace was replaced with a modern electric one which provides great ambience. New porcelain tile flooring was laid throughout the house. New roof and gutters were installed, and the whole house was painted in and out! Both bathrooms were completely redone with new windows, custom cabinetry, new Japanese toilets, new shower in the main bath and new tub in the guest bath, all with designer tile. We converted the two smaller bedrooms into our one big adult “playroom”….to house our entertainment, computer and gym equipment. Joseph gave us a time frame of 6 months to complete the project, and he certainly went way beyond to keep his commitment! He put in so much more than what’s originally on paper (like giving me custom cabinets, lights under the kitchen cabinets and extra outlets on the kitchen islands) without raising the cost. And whatever Joseph does, he does it with his whole heart and soul! Joseph was very much hands on with our home renovation project every step of the way from start to finish! He communicated with us on every detail and posted updates for us regularly and frequently on Buildbook.com so we could track the progress of our project. If we had any question, we could text or just call him, and he’d always respond within minutes! Joseph has the most wonderful team working under his guidance. They are all extremely hardworking and loyal because of his great leadership, and because he treats them with respect and like family. And let me tell you about his number one partner: his wife,Dikla! What an incredible interior designer she is! She was instrumental in helping us pick out all the interior and exterior elements (such as faucets and door knobs, paint color, counter top design etc.) that elevate the aesthetics of the whole house! We feel so blessed to have Dikla’s input throughout our project. Like Joseph, Dikla always goes the extra mile…..For instance, the electric fireplace we ordered was delivered with the remote control missing. Dikla took it upon herself to contact the manufacturer to procure the missing remote control for us! Dikla also, before we even started breaking ground, contacted our Homeowner’s Association to help us get approval for various components of the renovation project. I’m telling you, not only did we get the best contractor we possibly could, we also got the most wonderful interior designer. It’s like getting two for the price of one! We have been extremely pleased with how everything turned out! Joseph’s precision and attention to every detail has certainly paid off. We now have the most beautiful place we can be proud to call our forever home!

BEAUTIFUL KITCHEN. I highly recommend DHY Texas Builders. Dikla listened to my wants and needs for a new kitchen and created a great design, and Joseph brought those plans to life. They transformed our 45-year-old kitchen, stripping it down to the studs and rebuilding it into a stunning space with a separate pantry/laundry room—all in just 30 days! We couldn’t be more pleased.

DHY Texas Builders did two jobs for me recently, painting our house, and constructing a 1200 square foot stand-alone garage. Both jobs were conducted, and finished, with the highest degree of professionalism. Joseph was very receptive to my, and my wife's, suggestions throughout the duration of both projects. He also handled permit negotiations with the city office with good-natured patience and a high degree of professionalism. I'd recommend DHY highly to anyone interested in residential construction.

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Joseph and his wife are the most professional team I have ever worked with. Every single person that came to the house was amazingly talented and providing top notch work! I already have a list of the next four projects I’ll be hiring them for. 5 stars isn’t high enough for the experience. Everything and everyone is the best!

Warning: this is going to be very lenghty but worth reading We searched for a year and had several estimates and almost decided not to do it. We started looking again and this time around DHY texas builders stood out to me the most due to having similar vision, styles and interests. You really do get what you pay for. Joseph, came out and immediately took measurements of everything to get an accurate estimation. From the moment we talked we immediately felt they were the company for our project. It was an instant click for us with zero hesitations. Dikla did amazing work with her 3d models prior to starting the work. Other companies did not have it as part of their plan. This was also another reason why we picked them. I sent dhy my inspiration and ideas and wow Dikla did her magic. Joseph and his team did great work and the result was AMAZING. They resolved questions, issues and concerns immediately. The guys were very friendly and finished the whole project super quick. The job did not stop for them once the project was completed. Joseph checked in after and sent his guys to touch up things and fixed our floors. Joseph, really does have great people working for him. Unfortunately, it won't allow me to post pictures but the transformation was amazing. They converted our garage into our home which allowed us to have an open concept kitchen and living room plus gave us a laundry and pantry room. The kitchen is my dream come true. Everything just flows so perfectly together.

Remodeling is always stressful, lord knows my dear wife and myself have out long list of projects having bought our 16 home recently in the Houston area we moved to Texas to get closer to our grandkids and reached out to miss Dikla long before the move, her and Joseph drove to see the home worked on plans and started the work before we moved in they visited the house every day, helped pick out tile, counter, color samples and everything in remote. Trust me when I say this not all of the experiences we had in our previous years were like this.

I don’t even want to talk about all the damage that was restored it wasn’t an easy ride but we made it work together, great energy and everyone just wanting the best result. was worth it after the water damage my house suffered in the winter storm of last year (cant believe it took almost a year to fix!!)

Dhy team recently made a pool deck in my backyard and we are overall very pleased! They made it very safe for the kids to be around when they got out of the pool, the type of cement they added helps with them not slipping when being wet, I really love the layout and design they added to my backyard by adding the pool deck it was also very fair pricing compared to other companies we took bids from.

We've worked with DHY twice - once for our kitchen remodel, and once for bathroom remodeling. We have been incredibly pleased with our experience, from beginning to end, and know that we made the right choice when we decided to work with Melton. Kudos to Tom, who was our project manager for both projects - he is patient, thorough in his explanations, and always made us feel that no "bump in the road" is insurmountable. We love the way everything looks!

we were working with joseph and dikla for several months now on plans and permits for our ADU, we are having a 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom addition to our home for our in laws, this guys have always been a call away, explaining every step and help make any decision along this long road this was not an easy task and for people like us who know nothing about this type of process we needed to have exactly this, and feel blessed to have come across dhy and the way they do business

Excellent customer service! when I started the project with them, they have spent a lot of time to plan it from scratch. we had some decisions on what is my expectation of the new home and also theor ideas. Now, that the project is complete I just love my new home

We had DHY Remodel Our Kitchen and it looks amazing. The project was largely completed on time and with great quality and work. The team were great at communicating with us and we were involved in the decisions and always up to date with the progress, from my experience I want to share with other to always let your contractor know any little detail you want upfront, later on will result in change of order, I was not clear enough, and we had to make some changes, joseph was understanding and helpful but it could have went more smoothly.

Joseph has been a pleasure to work with, Timely, Honest and reasonably priced. He remodeled both our master bath and powder in less than a week and they worked clean, showed up on time, did a beautiful work. I really have no complaints, will definitely call them on my next project.

DHY did a project for me last month so a review is in order, we got outdoor kitchen done and while working on it decided to add a matching walkway and driveway, they did a very solid job I trusted their advice on this project and overall was very happy
