Doug staged our aunt's 3,000 square foot home, and yard, in Glendale. My aunt had lived in the house since the mid 1960s, and the house had many of the original tile work and carpentry features from the mid-late century 1900s. We painted every inch of the house (inside and out) and changed the flooring. Doug gave us great input on the color schemes and floor choices in that process. Once the house was emptied and the palate was clean, Doug and his team went to work! He created a timeless feel throughout the house. His style for this home was eclectic. Mid century pieces, traditional pieces, modern pieces. Strategically added paintings to give a color pop in each room (without overwhelming). I told my wife that what I appreciated was that it was aspirational (it looked cooler than the home or apartment you were moving from). Doug was easy to work with. He was excited about the project from the get go (you could tell he had a vision for what the space could be before we completed the updates). He did everything on the timeline promised. The place looked fantastic in photos. We even used the staged living room photo as the thumbnail on the listing. We were introduced to Doug through our agent, and we could not have been happier.

Communicating about aesthetics is difficult; finding a common language about what's desirable, what's required, and what's neither of those things is tricky. Doug and his team are so good at bridging gaps and eliminating confusion. I appreciated direct and clear communication about how to work within my budget. Upholstery work we completed together is of an incredibly high quality. Doug has a great eye for lighting in particular and that's one of the most transformative visions he brought to my house.
