“Tony at AncientSurfaces was honest, enthusiastic and extremely helpful as we selected a large centerpiece fountain as a signature feature at our home. Not only did Tony patiently walk us through the selection process but he also recommended a contractor who ultimately helped us with a professional installation. My wife’s remark that she was very happy and all exceeded expectations summarized it best. Thanks Tony!”
Wildwood Ovens and BBQs
Custom Fireplace Contractors & Installers Near Los Angeles
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsOctober 22, 2015
“Having recently retired to our dream location we needed to improve our outdoor entertainment area with a wood fired pizza oven. After much research and speaking with the owner Michael Gerard, we chose Wildwood Ovens & BBQ's, Our order was promptly shipped with no customs issues. Instructions for assembly were easy for our stone masons to follow. After initial slow firing, we have been enjoying tasty pizzas. The main reason we chose Wildwood is their prompt communication, which to me is the most important part of service. My wife and I are planning to spend time at their test kitchens in L.A. to learn how to optimize the oven and meet chef Michael Gerard in person.”
Fireplace Freddie Inc.
Custom Fireplace Contractors & Installers Near Los Angeles
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsMarch 8, 2014
“We hired Fireplace Freddie on a referral because we thought we needed to replace the brick chimney, for earthquake safety. They sent someone out to inspect the chimney, but he also inspected the fireplace and flue using a digital camera and showed me what was inside. The chimney did not need replacement (which would have cost more than twice as much as what we paid for the work they did do). What they did was replace some of the bricks and mortar on the inside of the flue, because they were loose and posed a fire hazard. The house is more than 50 years old, and the gas starter pipe was original equipment. So they replaced it with a new one that is farther back in the fireplace opening. They also installed a tighter damper (the old one leaked air when closed) and a new spark arrestor. Finally, they replaced the metal straps in the attic that secured the chimney. The old straps were not secured correctly and were not compliant with the current building code for our city. They provided us with a DVD of the completed work inside the flue. I already sent their contact information to a friend who needed some work done on her fireplace/chimney, and I would refer them again.”
