D.T. Carlson Co.

Dan's company does top notch work! We hired him to finish off our bunkhouse this past winter and everything was done with the utmost of care to details. From the very detailed estimate, the timing, the many good suggestions he made, the little extras that enhanced the room, the selection of paint colors, the neatness of the workspace--it was the best experience we have had with a remodeler. By the time we arrived this spring to see it completed, everything was done on time and completely cleaned up and we were overjoyed. Dan is a man of his word and has good people that work for and with him. We can recommend this company and the owner with the highest of praise. He is A #1 in our book !

D.T. Carlson Co. built our Blaine Sanctuary Home not only on time but within budget. We had other contractors build other homes for us but Dan Carlson by far was the most conscientious and dedicated in helping to navigate the process easily without stress on my end. He has an authentic passion for his craft that trickles down to all that work for him. It was a very valuable experience and I feel blessed in having met this man and his team.

We worked with DT Carlson Co for our custom home build. They were reliable, professional, and overall just a pleasure to work with. They even finished our home prior to the promise date. It is of the highest quality build and we couldn't be happier. DT Carlson was easy to communicate with, listened to all of our wants, and built us an amazing home. We recommend with the highest rating. 5 stars!

I had wanted to tear down my existing house and totally rebuild. Dan was excellent to work with in developing my concepts into reality. His crews to the person provided amazing service and attention to detail. And despite some unforeseen barriers in getting city permits, Dan kept us on schedule.

There are 3 ways that we know that, even 8 year later, having Dan and his D.T. Carlson Co. team build our custom home in St. Louis Park was the right decision: 1. We frequently hear people talk about how the experience and results of remodeling or building their home WITH A DIFFERENT BUILDER were awful. Not us; working with Dan and his team was a seamless and really fun experience. And that is because Dan and his team put the customer first. With that focus, the results only be great. 2. Dan said, "once we arrive at a build cost, we are locked in and you won't pay a penny more unless you make a change order." And we never budged from that budget number. 3. Our house is as solid as Fort Knox. There have been no "surprises" with our house over the last 8 years such things falling apart or aging prematurely. It's built like a tank.

I hired Dan to construct a front porch addition to our home in Hopkins. I cannot say enough positive things about Dan as a person and his quality of work. It was evident from the time we met that Dan cared about our project and listened intently to our design ideas. His attention to detail was particularly appreciated. I also appreciated Dan’s availability after the completion of the project to answer related questions. We are very happy with our new front porch and feel lucky to have worked with Dan. We highly recommend DT Carlson Company.

D.T. Carlson was the builder of my custom home. The owner, Dan Carlson, personally oversaw the project and was available and helpful to discuss the project whenever needed. Dan has great ideas, is very helpful, and I would definitely go to him again for another project. Every project has challenges and ours was no different. Dan saw it through to the end and has been available afterwards to answer questions, check on things, and remedy minor issues. I HAVE recommended D.T. Carlson to other prospective customers.

We worked with Dan to build our home for the Spring 2012 Parade of Homes and we could not be happier with the level of service that Dan provides! His attention to detail is evident throughout the home. We had a great experience working with Dan and would highly recommend him for anyone looking to put a personal touch on their home.

D.T. Carlson built our home in the Summer of 2011. Dan and his staff were extremely professional, reliable and built us a gorgeous home. We clearly are not the only ones who think so as Dan was awarded the year's "Reggie" award for our home. In the two years that have followed, Dan has been amazing to work with, and if we ever have a problem Dan is always willing to help us address it and usually will fix it at no charge! I would HIGHLY recommend D.T. Carlson for your build. His workmanship and his team are wonderful to work with and they will build you a beautiful home.

My wife and I hired DT Carlson to build us a house. We had no idea how complicated a process building an entire house from scratch is for two people with little understanding of the construction process. The staff at DT Carlson walked us through every decision and made the build an easy process. While we were expecting a well built and quality house, we were not expecting to find ourselves with the best house we have ever seen. The build quality and attention to detail is beyond excellent. After living in the house for almost a year, there is absolutely zero changes I would make. I highly recommend this builder to anyone seeking to build a home, remodel, or add an addition to a property.

We have nothing but good things to say about D.T. Carlson and our home that they built for us. Top Notch, Custom home builder. Personalized service every step of the way.

We hired D.T. Carlson Co. to do a first floor remodel last year. We are so pleased with the end result. Dan and his company provided excellent customer service and his workmanship is beyond compare. Dan was with us every step of the way. He is extremely honest, reliable and creative. We love our beautiful new home and cannot recommend Dan and his team highly enough.
