Equiterra Regenerative Design

I would not recommend this business. I hired them for a project, but had to let them go because the architect (Kent (Sensitive Information HIdden)) was consistently delayed in getting back to me, ignored my emails, and when he did communicate with me he would talk my ear off about his personal life (as if I have nothing better to do) and has undoubtedly billed me for the privilege. I should have known when I had to leave multiple messages just to arrange the initial site visit. Also, don't expect an itemized statement, because you won't get one. If you want a dependable architect with transparent billing, look elsewhere.

Kent and his team were extremely pleasant to work with for our extensive home remodeling project. We felt very comfortable throughout the entire process: from describing our vision, receiving 3-dimensional renderings, making innumerable edits to the plans, through coordination with contractors and other specialists in the community, and to finally realizing our dreams. The expertise at Equiterra was well-appreciated by our family, especially in regards to efficiency, sustainability, and an understanding how our living spaces uniquely impacted by our family's lifestyle. We are also grateful for their professionalism, thoughtfulness, and honesty.

We recently engaged Equiterra to help us design an addition and expansion of existing space for an older home in Albuquerque. Kent and team listened carefully to our concerns, ideas and budgetary requirements. They designed a space that reflects our values and stayed true to the home's character and neighborhood. The entire process was explained clearly to us at the beginning and all phases of the design process and all deliverables were completed as expected without any surprises. It was truly a great experience working with the Equiterra team. We are so happy with our design and now we can't wait for the building phase of the project to get underway!

We are currently working with the team at EDI to build a new house in Grand Cayman. Stace and Ken have made the project easy and they are true professionals. In addition, we love their style and the way that they listen closely to what we want and also provide good advice on key things we should be including or thinking about.

We hired EDI to design a mountain cabin at a difficult build site. Kent was able to take our basic ideas and turn them into plans for a beautiful mountain home that perfectly fit our vision. He literally designed the house of our dreams. HIs attention to detail and flexibility stand out among a number of reasons EDI was a perfect choice for us. Beyond the quality work product, Kent was able to incorporate a number of green design features that were also important to us. Our experience with EDI has been fantastic.

I have worked with Environmental Dynamics on a few projects and every time have found the experience extremely rewarding. As a kitchen designer and cabinetmaker, collaborating with Kent Beierle is a breath of fresh air. His creativity and excitement for design is contagious and his product knowledge and experience with sustainable design is second to none. Always one of a kind homes, always thoughtfully tailored to his clients personal aesthetic.

We have had the privilege of working with Kent and Delcie at EDI for a custom sustainable residential home project. The project involved Kent for conception, design and execution. From the first day Kent was engaged, communicative, listened, professional, honest and innovative. Our project could not have been successful without him and EDI. As my husband just said (again) “I just love this place!”. The project was successful as a award wining home (LEED platinum pending) because of Kent and EDI. Kent made the project and the process building easily and enjoyable. We could not have completed this complex multifaceted project without his experience and knowledge. I will not ever do another project of any scale without EDI.

Stace designed our dream home in the Cayman Islands and never ceased to amaze us by translating our wishes into reality. He worked without throughout the somewhat stressful construction of it, checking on the contractor and ensuring the house was built according his design/our wishes. We couldn’t be happier with the result. It was important to us to have a sustainable home but we didn’t know if we would go solar. We ended up with a LEED gold certificate without PV panels! Our home won the 2017 Governor’s Award for Design and Construction and it would not have been possible without Stace and his team.

Working with EDI to complete our home has been an excellent experience. They have been responsive, detailed and a pleasure to work with. Not only did they design a spectacular family home but they were able to create a LEED home whilst preserving a beautiful aesthetic. From strategically concealing solar panels to incorporating design elements which take advantage of efficient living, EDI capitalized on every opportunity to make our home comfortable, beautiful and environmentally friendly. Working with Stace in particular, is a delight. His vision, experience and knowledge are impressive and proved to be invaluable throughout the project.

We hired EDI on the recommendation of friends who had them design their green-built house. We had a pretty complex renovation of our 90's home which involved adding a partial second floor to accommodate a dance/yoga space, and office that would take advantage of potential views of the mountains. We also renovated the kitchen and added a workshop/studio. Our ideas were very conceptual, the EDI architect turned our ideas into a gorgeous, functional, and environmentally-friendly reality with many details we could never have imagined. He was friendly, personable, accessible, and fun to work with! We highly recommend this company.

I asked EDI inc. to create a set of plans for me for a complete remodel of my 1920's house. Since my lot is very small, a lot of thought went into the inside of the house, and every effort was made to maximize the square footage of the floor plan. I am very happy with what they came up with. When the project is actually started and finished, i will surely post lots of pictures to show off the great work David and Kent did. They were very knowledgable about the area my house was in. My house is in a historic district and there were a lot of hoops to jump through with the city. EDI made it really easy for me in that regard. The people there are really helpful and held my hand through the whole process. Delcie was able to accommodate me with paying off my bill. I did not begin construction on the remodel for personal reasons so we had to change directions a bit but Kent and Delcie were very understanding. I had lots of questions about budgets and prices and Kent was very helpful and was willing to sit down with me and answer all my questions.
