About Us

Elite Construction of Jax, Inc. is a Certified Building Contractor serving Saint John’s County, Jacksonville, and the surrounding areas. Our company is highly skilled to take on any residential job. Elite Construction of Jax, Inc. was founded by David Furukawa in 1993 to pursue his passion for building and creating. David graduated from Liberty University and received his M.B.A Degree summa cum laude. Quality workmanship and time-consuming details set us apart from other builders in the area. David has been in the construction field all his life. During that time, he has worked as a journey man painter, garage door installer, insulator, and a drywall finisher. In addition, he owned a roofing company and was a superintendent for one of the largest Custom Home Builders in the city. He acquired his builders license in 1991 and has built over 550 homes. Having experience in all these fields has given him an eye for detail. Elite Construction takes pride in our understanding of the builder and the job site superintendent because we have been in their shoes. If they need something that is holding up their job, we as the owners are there to take care of it. In 2012 David’s wife, Cathy Furukawa joined Elite Construction as the lead Interior Designer. Her eye for detail and passion for creating timeless, elegant, and functional spaces provides clients with personalized and exceptional insight from start to finish. Additionally, her acquired building knowledge provides seamless collaboration taking each client’s project through the entire process. The combined resources that David and Cathy offer through their extensive experience and credentials makes every home or remodeled space a work of art that reflects the client’s vision, dream, and personality.

We did an entire renovation but Cathy broke up the budget into every room which is awesome if you need to save in certain areas. Their attention to detail was above and beyond, Jeremy was always there to answer construction details/questions, everyone they work with was at the highest quality. They met OUR timeline, which has never happened before for us, great job! Couldn't be happier with our renovation and Elite Construction team, I would highly recommend.

Cathy was phenomenal in helping us pick out what would work/look best in the 2 spaces and she made sure to drop by the job site almost everyday to check in with us and make sure everything was going well. After seeing the beautiful job that Cathy and Elite construction did at my daughter’s home, we decided to call them for our bath remodel. WOW! What a difference! Thank you Cathy and David for our new beautiful primary bath remodel. It was great working with professionals who kept us informed of the schedule, and stayed on schedule. and helped guide us through the decision making process regarding the finishes. We are so happy with our family room built in by Elite Construction. David and Daniel are true professionals and went above and beyond to ensure my complete satisfaction with our project. It was a large project with some unique requirements and the guys really worked hard to match stain colors to those in my home as well as achieving the distressing that I wanted. I really appreciate the attention to detail and the extra attention paid to keeping the work area neat and tidy during the installation as well as the quality of the materials. What a great experience with David and Cathy from Elite Construction !!! Our master bathroom was dated and sad and now it's gorgeous. As with any large project there were a couple little hiccups but they promptly took care of everything and made sure everything was up to our expectations. The deck on our balcony was never built correctly and caused extensive water damage. We asked Elite Construction to give us a "worse case scenario" quote for the re-construction of our balcony and hired them for the job. All during the construction, the workers were professional and cleaned up every day. Whenever I had a question I had no problem getting a hold of David or Daryl, they got back to me right away, every time! The job was finished on time, and at the quoted price. The balcony is beautiful and solid! They are experts at what they are doing and have experienced people working for them. I have total confidence in their work. The very best quality!!!
