We sold our old house and bought a new home, that was more spacious. Saw promotional ads from Ethan Allen and figured what the heck - let’s check them out. The design center was only 40 min away. Not a big deal! Brought my mother along, since it was after all her house; to pick out a quality sofa-bed to start filling the extra space. Soon as we walked in, Ellen Kilroy a design associate greeted us. Her personality was charming and she was incredibly knowledgeable on the sofa-bed that caught our eyes. In less than 30 minutes, we selected a quality sofa, that also pulled out to be a spare queen size bed. In addition, we selected our custom fabric and upgraded our cushions. There was quite a bit of customization involved and of course that brought the price up. But not terribly. The sofa started around $3100 and with the upgrades I believe it was closer to $4000. Which is what quality furniture like this retails for. However, Ellen got our sofa - bed for $2700. Thanks to promotions she linked us up with. And of course we bought it! The value, quality, and friendliness we received, had our business from the beginning. I challenge anyone out there, to compare the quality, value and friendless with Ethan Allen’s competitors. Ellen is an absolute dream to work with. She listened to our ideas and provided such amazing design choices that were true to our style. When I decided to re-decorate my living room, it was an easy decision to go straight to the EA Design Center. I reviewed all the bios of the decorators the same way I would research a doctor --- experience and philosophy. I felt Ellen Kilroy and I were a match. The entire process of collaborating with her was truly a pleasurable experience from start to finish. Working our way through furniture styles, colors and fabrics was as comfortable and as satisfying as getting lost in a chocolate factory! Ellen's skill at questioning to understand my decorating goal, and her expertise to carry it out, made this project totally worthwhile and pure joy.

We went to Ethan Allen to shop for furniture for our Breakfast Nook, Family Room and Master Bedroom. Our Interior Design Consultant Specialist, Ellen Kilroy, invested over 15 hours in four meetings including a home visit over the course of about 4 weeks helping us design our space, draft a layout, and select furniture. Actually, Ellen worked late with us twice after store hours to follow through on specific designs and furniture selections that we were focused on at the time. At no point in time during this entire process were we required to make an upfront purchase commitment, nor did we receive any high pressure sales pitch to purchase any items. We did not expect to receive this type of professional design service, expertise, and personal service. At all times, Ellen was a pleasure to work with, always friendly, very personable, and always put the customer first. Ellen listened to what style we were looking to achieve, paid attention to detail, and as a result was able to create a design to match the vision that we had in mind. It became clear that Ellen possessed a high level of professional design expertise and experience and was able to help us create a beautiful design for all our rooms and select the style of furniture that would make us happy. It was evident early on that Ellen possessed very high skills, experience, and knowledge in all aspects of the Interior Design process as well as an amazing knowledge of the products available at Ethan Allen. My wife and I felt very lucky to have met and worked with Ellen to help us select and design what we believe will be a beautiful house filled with high quality Ethan Allen furniture.
