Trustworthy and kind, Ellen is an outstanding designer. Not only does she have impeccable taste, she is careful, thorough, and organized. She has the necessary mind for details to get the job done right. She has been doing this for many years and has long-term, professional relationships in all areas relating to design, and she leverages these connections throughout New England to help you. I loved that she was flexible and enthusiastic about working with us on our project even if something was new for her (for example, putting in a cement floor in the new basement, or finding/ figuring out installation for porcelain products such as cup holder, toothbrush holder, TP holder, and towel rack for our re-do of a vintage bathroom). Perhaps most important given how much time you may spend with your designer, she is just a fun person!

Working with Ellen was an extremely excellent experience. As they say, I have been to the rodeo before this project. It was my tenth kitchen that I have either renovated or started from scratch. Ellen has worked on several office spaces across campus, most recently managing the full redesign of the president’s office suite. Ellen listened intently to our preferences and priorities and created a beautiful and functional space for those of us working in the suite. Her input and direction on every aspect, from the floorplans to the selection of lighting, carpet, window treatments, paint colors, and furniture, was instrumental in creating the warm and welcoming environment we desired. My relationship with Ellen Fador as a designer began over ten years ago when I bought a townhouse and needed help with furniture placement in my new space. A few years later when I was ready to redecorate, I engaged Ellen again. I showed Ellen photos (including some from houzz.com, my go to reference) of what I wanted to accomplish in my combined living and dining rooms. Ellen provided me excellent direction as I wanted a bit more modern look and to go from warm tones to a cooler color palette. Ellen is an expert in paint color selection and helped me choose lovely companion shades of gray for the walls. I really liked my sofa and decided to reupholster it. Ellen has great resources for fabrics and reupholstery. She oversaw the project and my sofa came out looking like brand new. Ellen also helped me select some new furniture and offered suggestions on art work and other tips such as what items to put on the mantel to balance the artwork above the fireplace. It was a true pleasure partnering with Ellen and a fun learning experience. She will work to whatever degree of involvement the client wishes. I am delighted with my end result - a truly warm and welcoming space. I receive numerous compliments and have recommended Ellen to friends. I would engage Ellen in the future when ready to do more redecorating.

Ellen is the best decorator/ interior designer I have ever worked with. We worked together on multiple room transformations and I am so happy with the results. I hired Ellen to help us do a complete home renovation. She was a life saver as we had never taken on such a project before. I had a fantastic experience working with Ellen Fador from Spectacular Spaces and would unequivocally recommend her. I started a home renovation project without an interior designer and quickly realized I was in way over my head. Fortunately, a cabinet vendor I was working with recommended Ellen and despite a heavy workload she took me on as a client. She worked very closely with me by first understand my style/general preferences and needs. She would visit my house as needed and also accompanied me to vendors (cabinet makers, tile, plumbing fixtures, lighting, etc.). The experience was fantastic as she never pushed selections on me – she always worked to find products that she thought may match my style and would present alternatives. She worked very well with both the architect and builder when was needed, such as to coordinate details of the shower layout. I am very pleased with the final product and can say that it is many times better than if I had attempted to do it on my own. She was also judicious with time charges and the amount I spent on her services was reasonable and worth every penny!

Ellen worked with me to redesign my office. She listened carefully to my needs for functionality of the space and the feeling I wanted visitors to have when they entered. Because she was such an attentive listener, she very quickly presented a selection of furniture pieces and color palettes that expressed my style and met my very high expectations. As it happens, some design elements were delayed and some required retooling after delivery. Ellen stayed with the project, correcting imperfections before I even noticed them. It's been four years since Ellen redesigned my space, and I am as pleased with the results today as I was when I entered the space for the first time.

We found Ellen on Houzz, and this is our first time working together. Her ability to understand our needs and craft a design that delivers our vision while maximizing the function and aesthetic of our bathroom space is impressive. Ellen has made the design and remodeling process much less stressful by thoughtfully and carefully walking us through the required design decisions and product selections. Ellen was excellent to work with! She helped us remodel several bathrooms at once, keeping us on track and on budget. She had a consistent theme throughout but each bathroom still has its own unique feel. She accompanied us to each showroom, held our hands through the process where we needed it but was never pushy or made us feel rushed. The documentation she provided to the contractors made life a breeze! Will definitely work with her again!

I recently worked with Ellen on a multi million dollar home in my hometown. She was incredibly professional, very meticulous about every detail you could imagine. She was very attentive to the buyers needs and her follow though was unrelenting to the very end. This was a larger than usual home will many special features.
