Folding Chair Design

We have worked with Folding Chair Design on several projects now and really enjoy working together. Jennifer is incredibly talented and provides a great service and experience for the clients we serve together.

I was searching for a designer to redecorate our home and found Folding Chair Design on Houzz. I requested contact and Jennifer called me right away. From that phone call through project completion Jennifer and her staff were talented, professional and so friendly. Jennifer really listened to my wishes and must haves. She pushed me to experiment more, I trusted her and we LOVE our new home.

Jen (and her associate Rachel) are both wonderful to work with. I found Jen on Houzz and loved her work. We did window treatments throughout my home and also redecorated my teenage daughter's room. Jen is great at mixing higher and lower end fabrics and furniture (at my request). She listened to my opinions and added in her own. She is very reachable, very flexible, and has a great eye. Everything came out really beautifully and I would definitely use them again.

Jennifer was wonderful. She encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone with color and it really paid off. The coral chairs in our Eastern shore home are perfect…everyone comments on them when they come over. In addition she easily stayed within our budget and the living room project was completed in a timely manner.

Jen from Folding Chair Design is a talented interior designer. I sought her out after I saw what she did with a friend's home addition. My teenage son's room needed a makeover and she thoughtfully sat with me and my son listening to our ideas and needs then applying them with the room design. The room turned out better than I imagined. Highly recommend her services!

We hired Jen Walter to help us with our first floor living area. We saw what a great job she had done for our friends and really liked her style. We have an open floor plan and the rooms did not flow. We needed someone that could come in an modernize our lighting fixtures, assist with new furniture purchases & accent pieces. Jen has produced many wonderful options for us to consider and has kept our budget constraints in mind as we go through the selection process. We are now in the process of completing our kitchen, dining room and casual dining area and are very happy with how she has transformed the look and feel of these rooms. She has also been extremely patient and responsive throughout this process.

Jen designed my living and dinning room. She has great ideas that I would never have thought of and is very easy to work with. She does a great job at combining fabrics, colors, furniture with accent pieces. The rooms she created are comfortable, stylist and perfect for my family!

Jen really made my new house a home. About a year after I moved into my newly constructed Baltimore row home, it was still a mismatched mess of furniture and other decor that I'd collected over several years and several different homes. Jen was very professional and easy to work with. I had several pieces I wanted to keep and a few preliminary thoughts on color palettes. Jen also showed great experience in working with unique layouts. While my home is a 'wide' row home (16 ft), it definitely challenges the flow of a room as well as our storage options. Ultimately, Jen's recommendations really elevated the floor plan and we agreed on a custom built wall unit that really helped define my Living Room as well as provide some additional storage. Jen was initially engaged to work on my Entryway, Living Room and Master Bedroom, but being so pleased with that work, she also helped with a Powder Room, Kitchen and Guest Bedroom. Jen kept me well updated on progress and based on my request, kept me updated on significant purchases along the way. She was able to engage professionals when needed to perform work and coordinated with them to quickly complete projects. Jen ultimately put each room together for an 'unveiling' when I entered the house. It was a great experience to see it all pulled together at once. I would definitely recommend Jen and Folding Chair Design to others. I am very proud to show off my new home and I owe that to Jen!

Jen Walter was very professional and easy to work with. She was always willing to work within my budget and taste. She would gently nudge me to try something new but never made me feel like I had to purchase something that I was uncomfortable with. She has a wonderful eye for what your house can look like even with just making some small changes and using items that you already own. I would definitely recommend Jen to a friend.
