Fontile Kitchen & Bath

My 5 start review is all down to the showroom manager, Donna, who has a great design sense and is as fun to work with as she is professional. If you can't find what you're looking for, she makes suggestions that-- on many occasions -- turned out better than my original idea and saved me a ton of time. She really knows her stuff and is also an expert in bathroom fixtures too. Fontile has been around Vancouver for a LONG time (and the building shows it unfortunately--what's up with that??) and to be honest--there are some brutal reviews out there about sales staff in years past & about the owner. However, my experience with this manager has been enjoyable and efficient. She's a designer's designer.

BUYER BEWARE! I bought tile from here, and ofcourse you buy some extra just in case your measurements were off or the tile cuts are different. When I went to go return the extra product, they wanted to charge me a 40% restocking fee!!! But when the warehouse manager came to get the tiles he said asked "where the tiles were" as there were not the same quantities as when I bought. I explained I used those tiles on the project and then he says "NO PARTIAL RETURNS!" and just walked away!! The warehouse manager and owner (Gary) are both rude. I am NEVER going back to them and I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

If I am looking for a tile that is truly unique and affordable, I visit Fontile. They have an extensive selection of porcelain, ceramic and natural stone tiles. From basic subway tiles to more elaborate patterned, printed or embossed tiles, I am always sure to find something that will make my projects truly unique. The showroom is large and the displays are inspiring, the staff very knowledgeable and friendly. I would highly recommend anyone looking for wall or floor tile to visit Fontile.

When it comes to finding something unique , we highly recommend Fontile. They are always bringing in the latest styles and we love the selection of materials available. Lawrence and the team are very knowledgeable, professional and able to work within your budget.

After working with them for more than 6 years, We highly recommend Fontile, they have variety and a wide selection of tiles with professional staff and sales people. We also have ordered kitchen cabinets and they do a great job. The best in town.

I specified tile for a bathroom renovation and the tile turned out beautiful. The photos do not even do it justice as when you walk into the bathroom for the first time the tile takes your breath away. Fontile has always been a pleasure to deal with and the tile designs and service is excellent! I look forward to buying from them in the future and look forward to seeing what new designs they bring in that will inspire me create more beautiful spaces!

We have worked with some exceptional people at Fontile for several years. They are all knowledgeable and have an eye for design. Fontile has an endless selection of a range of versatile to high end luxury floor and wall tiles. When we are seeking the finest product for our high end projects, Fontile is an excellent choice.

Good product but don't trust what half of the staff say... I expect a lot more when I spend $10,000 on tile! They have great knowledge and are helpful but tell you one thing when you are spending $10,000 on tile, when you come back they don't up any of what they originally told you. We specifically asked about returns on all our products and 'no problem, even partial boxes' ... when you are spending well over $100 per tile that's important. We tried to return tile and not once did anyone ever mention a huge restocking fee and for most of our product they back pedaled and said 'no' flat out on returns. We did get our contractor rate on product but even at 30% off list their prices are much more than others with similar product. They also didn't take back or replace any of the tile we were sold that were chipped from the warehouse. Our tile guy managed to use three of the chipped tiles but they even refused to replace the two remaining chipped products that came chipped from them out of the box. it takes them forever to finish and pull an order, my wife and I have spent tons of time there. It took over an hour once the order was submitted by sales to get it picked and then I noticed that they pulled the wrong product because Ann entered the wrong product so they had to fix and then repick. It took me over 2 hours on a slow weekday to get the product loaded and on the road, with my contractor waiting for me billing time. Our contractor used to send a lot of customers here and since this issue has stopped. Our tile guy said he dumped Fontile years ago because they are difficult. As a bonus the service guys were really blunt and rude to my pregnant wife when she came in to do the return and when she went up to sales Ann was also rude and blunt, completely the opposite of who she was when we were spending all the money... it's too bad because they have some great products and during the sales process we enjoyed dealing with them but once the credit card was charged their attitudes changed.

Fontile is the best place in Lower Mainland to buy the tiles for your awesome looking house-to make it even more awesome! The staff is amazing-so knowledgeable,friendly and professional! We love their showroom ,the people working there and of course all their products. Looking forward to be working with Fontile for many years ahead. Highly recommend Fontile Kitchen and Bath-never a disappointment!

Fontile offers a very vast selection of some more unique tile options and thus is a huge asset to our Design department. We get exceptional service from their rep Jessica, who will provide pricing and samples on a short timeline. They also have a great showroom, so we often take our clients in to select products in person, if the client has more specific taste than most. We love working with Fontile!

Fontile is a great resource for all of my renovation ideas, they not only helped with my design choices but finished the project on time and on budget!
