We had talked with several design & build firms before finding Singleton and Foreground Studios. We were searching for someone who could look at our inspo photos -- accumulated from trips to Napa Valley to the Caribbean to the Mediterranean -- and synthesize them into a cohesive backyard outdoor design that worked with our home's architectural style. Singleton simply nailed it. He listened, challenged, and ideated in ways that gave us the confidence we would end up with the backyard outdoor living space we could see in our minds, but couldn't point to in a single photo. He was extremely patient with changes, he searched for the exact materials we wanted, and developed a balance between hard- & soft-scapes that we'll enjoy for years of high school & college graduation parties, family reunions, and warm summer nights to come. No improvement project is without frustration, and when things did go wrong or moved too slowly, Singleton was responsive with the goal of setting realistic expectations that would deliver the end result we envisioned. He was even able to work with a conservative homeowners' association with traditional design parameters and still achieve the look we were going for. We would absolutely recommend him and Foreground for your project.

We had talked to four different landscape groups and started to get disappointed with their inability to see our vision for our backyard renovation. We actually came across Foreground from an online write up, featuring a yard they had done here in town that we had previously admired. We gave them a call, and Noah came out to check out our space and listened to what we were wanting to do. We have a mid century modern home and we could see sparks of passion and love for this type of design to continue to our yard and it was right in his wheel house. Noah was very easy to work with, his design for our yard very much incorporated our vision with his knowledge. He was very quick to get back to any emails or texts that were sent. His crew that he works with is also amazing, they are truly craftsmen and we really appreciated both Noah's and Fred's attention to detail. I know they had other projects going simultaneously, but we felt like ours was always a priority and I can only assume their other clients did as well. Foreground Studio was very professional and able to see my ultimate vision for our backyard project. We worked with Noah from the start to finish. He listened to my ideas and produced a beautiful backyard patio. Our project was not a quick project and one that needed a lot of attention. I am very happy with our outcome. After completely renovating the interior of a 100 year old home, we hired Foreground Studio to turn our dilapidated front and backyards into sanctuaries. We were looking for a modern and sleek design that would be an extension of both the historical nature of the home in the front and an extension of our modern/industrial style from the interior into the backyard. After meeting just one time, the concept drawings nailed our personal style and the exterior that we didn't even know we wanted or were able to have. We were blown away by their professionalism, their creativeness, and their commitment to both the project and us as clients over the course of a year. While issues arose with one of the subcontractors during the project, Foreground completely handled the situation and minimized any headaches on our end. Overall, we loved both Foreground and their work so much we hired them to complete a third floor walk out deck to match the style of the back yard. We would highly recommend Foreground Studio for any landscape project as they go out of their way to ensure that everything from the design, to the completion of the project always meets the clients' expectations and highest standards. Everyone that has visited our home is completely blown away by how unique and welcoming the yard is. There is nothing cookie cutter about their designs. We did a complete renovation of our property. Forground Studio designed and executed the landscape of our home. Noah and Singleton were on site every day to make sure things were going as planned. They are the most creative, reliable, caring, and trustworthy Individuals. Very happy with the end result!

We hired Singleton and Noah after meeting them at a home show. They weren't the first architects we hired, but they were the only ones we liked. We were looking for someone with fresh ideas and a modern touch. Singleton was our primary designer, and he gave us exactly what we were looking for. He did a wonderful job listening to our wants and came back with plans for our front and back yards that were even better then we could imagine. He was easy to work with and attentive. Further, we chose to them take care of the hiring the vendors for us. We worked with one primary landscaping company that was great! Singleton or Noah came out daily to check on the progress and it's amazing how different our yard looks. Singleton was also super helpful regarding types of materials to use and vendors to purchase from. I would highly recommend hiring Foreground Studios and want to work with them in the future.

As a fellow designer and owner of a very unique and modern home in the Short North / Italian Village area of Columbus I was recommended to reach out to Noah and Singleton about my project. I had a very specific concept I wanted to achieve on my 1st floor patio to compliment my 4th floor rooftop patio and what I appreciated most about working with them was their ability to work with me on achieving my vision for the "zen lounge" I had been waiting to develop to finish the house. Hiring Foreground Studio to design, bid, and manage our "Rustic Backyard Retreat" project was the best investment we made. Our project consisted of a complete backyard makeover, which included the install of an in-ground pool, tiered patio, fire pit, water feature, and landscaping. After looking at Foreground Studio’s work on Houzz, I knew that they would be able to provide a great natural/rustic design to fit into our outdoor space. Noah designed the “oasis” we were looking for. We were drawn by Noah’s work that included a lot of natural elements, and he did not disappoint. We were pleased with his designs from the natural stone fire pit , the two level field-stone patio, to the arrangement of plants. Noah was involved onsite to ensure everything was to our liking. We are very pleased with our oasis and are spending most of our time relaxing outdoors now.
