Gary Harcourt designed an accessory dwelling unit (ADU) that we built for a client roughly two years ago. Gary's plan made great use of the site's orientation on the property and made great use of the limited space (he was limited to less than 600 square feet due to local building code). The ADU feels spacious, light and efficient. Gary's plan was easy to follow as a builder and not over built. The project went smoothly from start to finish and the architect should get much of the credit for that.

I personally hired Gary F. Harcourt and team after interviewing several architects in the San Louis Obispo county I live in. As a self employed contractor building a 3800 sqft dream home with a 2000 sqft workshop for my wife and family, I wanted to hire the best. Gary was and is that best. From day one at interview, Gary outshined others by his confidence and positive enthusiastic love for his career and for our dream project that brought a steady peace and joy throughout the process. His recomendations and ideas due to his proven knowledge and experience helped us to save a lot of money. Overall I am very satisfied.
