Greg and his team completed a major renovation for my family. Scope of work: Opened up first floor, beam installed, large kitchen remodel, dining room addition, sunroom refresh, master bath renovation. Design to Completion. We met with Greg, worked through our ideas, he guided us in the right direction and delivered. His team of contractors were friendly and efficient. We never had a day go by without communication or activity. Everything was quality and he stands by his work. Completed on time and on budget. In fact, the process was so pleasant, I change careers and became a general contractor. No joke. I still use GMF to this day, and refer him to my clients when they need design/architectural services.

Greg is a master architect. We had a plan that needed modification. He was great to work with. We met a dozen times over a six month period. He was on time every time and was extremely patient. Very up front with his fee structure. We are a year down the road now with the structure framed in and dry. We encountered an issue that the contractor could not solve. I met with Greg last week and he had a great solution in five minutes. Greg has the unique talent to be able to think in 3 D on the fly. More than satisfied with his service.

We have lived in our ranch style home for 35 years and were looking to update and remodel. As we don't plan to move, it was very important that we get a remodel plan customized to our lifestyle. Greg and GMF was the solution we were looking for. We had certain ideas that we wanted to incorporate and Greg ensured that these were integrated in a useful and stylish manner into the final plan. I will say that this was not easy or quick, and required several iterations of the plan. In the end I was very pleased that Greg was extremely accommodating, not to mention persistent, in ensuring our ideas were incorporated into the remodel and at a price point that was within our budget. More over Greg has a lot of experience which allowed him to introduce ideas and variations that we never thought about. Greg was also onsite during the build to ensure our plan met reality and quality. Our newly remodeled home perfectly meets our needs and looks like a custom built home thanks to GMF. We remodeled a 1960's home that had undergone prior renovations, but need a major updating. Greg was creative in coming up with useful architectural and functional features along with a compelling new design/rearrangement for the bedroom area of the house, all of which have made living in the house delightful.

We found GMFplus architects for providing plans for a second floor addition to our home. We needed additional bedrooms, an inside laundry room and garage space for my husband to operate his house painting business. Greg and his staff were imaginative, prompt and professional. We are delighted with the results. My husband did the contracting himself. At one point during construction the building inspector gave us a hard time with a framing detail that was unexpected. GMF was selected to design a custom duplex that we’d been hired to build. I had some previous conversations with Greg prior to this project regarding various other projects. Once plans were finalized and construction started, Greg was very responsive and easy to communicate with when field decisions and changes needed to be made. We contracted Greg's firm to assist us in adding 3,000 sqft for space to a 2,200sqft ranch. Our 3 primary goals were to: 1) avoid a "ranch redo" look both inside and out; 2) transition the style to a more rustic feel; and 3) give us very relaxed flowing spaces with maximum use of the existing and new footprint. Greg challenged us to think differently as we worked through the design which helped us to accomplish our top 3 goals and more. My Husband and I hired Gregory Frech of GMF+Architecture after interviewing three Architectural firms when we were considering a major renovation to our very dated inefficient 1970's home. We were living on the West Coast at the time but always knew that we were going to retire in Virginia Beach. Greg was very willing to work with us via telecommunications. We initially had each architect visit the home and present their ideas for the renovation based on a list of things that was important to us. The rest is history... Greg surprised us with how quickly he was able to capture our vision and surpass our expectations with what he saw as the full potential for our home design.
