I used Grenier Construction for a small bathroom remodel and several exterior projects, including a patio refresh, dry rot repair, and building a porch. Richard and his team were always punctual and made sure the work area was cleaned at the end of each day. It’s hard to find a reliable, reasonably priced contractor who delivers quality work, but they did exactly that. I’ll definitely be using Richard and his team again in the future.

Richard is so easy to work with and does great work. His team is excellent and meticulous. He re-did my kitchen, added a bedroom, master bath, and laundry room. Excellent work all around. I then hired him to build an ADU that also is perfect. On time and on budget! Amazing

I work for Landscape Architecture company Land by Design and have had the pleasure of having Richard work for me on my own home where he completely redid the entire interior of the house and then I hired him and continue to do so on my landscape architecture projects for my clients. He makes it all seem easy with his vast technical knowledge and expertise. He is a pleasure to get along with, always answers the phone and always delivers on time and on budget. When you find a good contractor who is extremely knowledgeable, easy to work with and excellent at problem solving its like striking gold. Loved working with Richard Grenier on our house in the Silver Lake Hills in Los Angeles. He was always patient, calm and deliberative. It's been two years and his work has held up flawlessly. The only issue we had had more to do with our lack of hiring an architect to thoroughly oversee the project. I strongly recommend this - next time we do some remodeling work we'll go with Grenier Construction, but at the same time hire a 3rd party to both design and oversee the project from beginning to end. There were a few instances in which we simply didn't know which questions to ask - and there were some moments of miscommunication because of our lack of experience. Richard always course-corrected and over-delivered. The only negative is that upon completion of the house we had to request that his workers come back and do a thorough clean-up. But that had nothing to do with the quality of the work - which was first rate across the board. Five stars. Thoroughly recommend.

We hired Richard to redo our kitchen and one bath when we bought our house in 2011. Richard was very helpful during the process and his crew was professional. The kitchen is our favorite part of the house, and we have received endless compliments on it. We recommend Richard without reservation. We have recommended him to friends and they have been pleased as welll.

Richard and his crew were recommended by my designer, the lovely and talented Alison Glen, and they proved to be a great choice. As anyone who's ever gone through renovations can testify, the process can be an arduous, costly and seemingly never-ending one and doing a reno on a house in the Hills, including a new kitchen, 3 new bathrooms, pantry, laundry room and outside deck, not to mention a host of other jobs, I definitely needed someone who was trustworthy, with a sense of humor, who could deliver quality workmanship. Richard and his crew (especially his #1, Luis) provided all three and I would definitely recommend them.

Grenier Construction did a complete remodel on our 17,000 square foot office space in Burbank. It was a very old building that had not seen a fresh look since the early 80’s. Before our move in date, we hired Grenier to do an extensive demo and remodel. Gutting almost the entire interior, I worked with Richard Grenier daily during the construction process. As with any old structure, it was necessary to modify the plans and make decisions on an “as we go” basis. Richard never let these changes extend our target move in date or have a negative impact on our budget. The completed space was exactly the creative environment we wanted. It was a great experience and we got a remarkable value for the extensive work we did in the space.

Richard and his crew did an outstanding job of transforming our outdated master bathroom into a beautiful sanctuary. We were extremely satisfied with the quality and craftsmanship of all the work performed. Richard is great at overseeing the job and we were able to collaborate well with him to get just the look we wanted. I would not hesitate to recommend Grenier Construction, and have already done so many times.

Obviously it's up to each consumer to thoroughly vet a builder for a whole host of legal concerns, including things like licensure and permitting practices, but this review is more about overall experience... Upon the recommendation of some friends of ours, my husband and I used Grenier Construction in the summer of 2012 for a full remodel of a 2-bedroom, 2 1/2-bath condo in West LA. By "full remodel" I mean that they dropped and added sound-proofing under the entire ceiling, they removed a ton of wallpaper and smoothed and painted the walls, they replaced the flooring with wood flooring (marble in the bathrooms), they completely rebuilt (including custom cabinetry) the kitchen and all three bathrooms, they installed various forms of lighting throughout, they installed various appliances (we bought everything new) throughout, they created a built-in entertainment center (including a large, swiveling TV "arm") out of a former wet bar, etc. In other words, for a condo, it was a fairly involved job. Long story short, we got the clean, modern look we were seeking, on budget and on time (and with as few ruffled feathers on the part of our new neighbors as possible). No surprise, we went on to recommend this company to friends and acquaintances -- and are recommending them here.
