We appreciated the time Peter and Michelle spent with us in advance, explaining the product and the process at their showroom. Greensville has a great variety of on-site inventory from which to choose. Every aspect of the project happened as outlined, meeting all time lines with a very efficient install followed up by care and maintenance information (albeit soapstone is a stunning product that requires minimal care). It is readily apparent that Peter, Michelle, Joshua and Adam enjoy what they do because they love the product that they provide. These people are excellent at their craft, making our counter tops a work of art.

We spotted soapstone counters at a home show a couple of years ago. We kept the information (and the mental impression of the stone). Starting about a year ago, we contacted Greensville. They helped point us to resources so we could do research. When we started to seriously plan our new kitchen, they provided a small sample piece of soapstone which we 'used' as countertop for several months to better understand its properties and to determine whether it was a fit for us. At no point did Greensville get pushy - they wanted to make sure we were happy with the decision. Once we decided to move ahead with soapstone, they contacted us when they received a shipment of the type of soapstone we were looking for (Stormy black with bold veining), so we could hurry on over to their showroom to select pieces. We did this 2 or 3 times over some months, each time finding absolutely stunning pieces but not the exact combination of looks and hardness we were after. On our third visit we found our match. Again, Peter and Michelle were perfectly patient and willing to help. Their preparation of the counters was outstanding and contributes to the overall look. We are delighted! People spend thousands of dollars on nice artwork. We look at our soapstone as functional artwork. We get to admire it and 'feel' it every time we enter our kitchen. Thank you, Greensville!

One of the best supplier contractors on our project . Peter and Michelle are the best at what they do ,professional,reliable, experts in their field and an absolute pleasure to deal with throughout. We had some tight deadlines at the end and they accommodated our every need.

This is a great company to deal with. We can say this with great certainty after dealing with many trades people during a re-build of a farm kitchen that dragged on for 13 months. The staff are highly professional, honest, kind, caring, skilled perfectionists who want the customer to have the best possible outcome. They came when they said they would come. The costs were up front with no last-minute surprises. The first visit to the store served as a great omen of their accessibility throughout the process. Despite us being greeted by an after-hours Closed sign, we used the number listed on the sign to reach Peter who was working at the back of the store. He opened up the store and gave us a good look at the inventory, pulling many large stones out of storage and oiling many them to show the final finish. The great service continued when two visits to our kitchen were required to make a template. The the first revealed cabinetry inadequate for any stone counter but Peter worked effectively with the (new) carpenter to fix the errors. The installation went very smoothly. The stone for the island was shaped in one piece without any extra charge rather than cutting it in two for easier handling. The leftover piece from the sink hole was shaped for future use as a small table top. Even the leftovers got attention to detail! The final product gives the "wow" effect from all visitors to our new kitchen, generating many compliments about the look of soapstone. What more could a person ask for?

I couldn't be happier with my new soapstone slab. The company was professional, they answered all of my questions and were very accommodating. The soapstone is the show piece of the kitchen and looks amazing. The upkeep is just as he described it would be…very easy to maintain and durable. I also have a cambria quartz countertop and I find I am more cautious with the quartz than I am with the soapstone. It just keeps looking better and better each time I oil it. The only regret I have is that I didn't put the soapstone on the other countertops as well! It is well worth the investment please don't listen to what you hear from people about it being "too soft" and not durable…it's truly a remarkable and durable piece of stone! This company was professional in every way I picked out the slab and they delivered it on time and did a fantastic job.

Last Summer Greenville Soapstone created a wonderful counter top for our kitchen. They provided the perfect piece of soapstone, and did a lot of custom work to wrap around a stone pillar. They also created a grooved drain on one side of our counter, which works perfectly. The workmanship was lovely, on budget and completed in a reasonable time frame (which was appreciated as other contractors where working with them as well). I have no reservation in recommending this company, a very personal touch!
