Chip helped us with a major renovation, turning a 1930's ranch into a 2-story Tudor -style home. He has an amazing aesthetic and great knowledge of period architecture and his level of talent is really hard to find. He's great to work with and we feel so lucky to have found him!

We hired Chip and his company (Hackley & Associates) for a renovation and expansion of our 100 year old house. We were particularly concerned about matching the house so that it did not look like an addition, but like it was part of the original house. We are very pleased with the outcome. Chip's ideas, drawings and attention to detail resulted in a finished product we are very happy with. We would use Chip again, and recommend him to others.

Chip and his associates did a fantastic job integrating new design and comfort with the architecture and character of our 100-year-old home. He added gorgeous bathrooms to existing space and designed a gourmet kitchen of the highest quality and functionality. He was great to work with and we would recommend him to anyone looking for high-end construction.

Chip is the consummate idea man and really knows what is takes to turn your vision into a reality. He takes the time to understand not only how you want the house to look, but also how you want to live in it. So the kitchen will be arranged for maximum efficiency and practicality, but also look beautiful. Even better than you imagined! Chip designed the renovations on both of our houses and we highly recommend him.

Chip and his team were wonderful. We had an old house with great bones but a challenging layout. We needed more family space and an updated interior, and Hackley helped us achieve that without sacrificing the character of the original house. Chip understood our vision of an English Country Home with views leading you from one room to the next, and ultimately to the yard and gardens outside. We are so happy with the finished product!

Chip has an incredible eye and he's a great problem solver. We completely renovated a 1948 ranch and turned it into an authentic Cape Cod style home, complete with a wrap around porch, cupolas and cedar siding. In addition to having a wonderful design sense, he relishes the details...moldings, finishes, etc. We characterize our relationship as a great partnership. Best architect on the North Shore! Hackley and Assoc recently did a renovation project for us. They helped throughout the process and we came in on time and on budget. Chip Hackley and his people were a real pleasure to work with on our extensive remodel. The home we purchased had "great bones" according to Chip, but when we were done it was great across the board. They transformed an interior that was somewhat contemporary (when we purchased our home) into a more traditional feeling home. Their ideas were perfect. We love living in our home everyday.
