With a gracious and easy style, Heidi was the perfect complement to help me in the interior design of our MT lake house. She was beyond helpful, as we were building from 1000 miles away and needed someone on site to not only guide me on the selection of furnishings, but also, to handle the delivery and move in. Once we selected the furniture and décor, Heidi and her delightful team did it all! We literally drove up with our extended family in 4 vehicles, and 4 dogs, and managed to walk into our new home perfectly prepared for us. The result is a cottage style lake house that is comfortable yet stunning all at the same time. It felt like home from the first moment we walked in! Heidi’s experience is incredibly helpful, as she understands architecture, interior design, lighting, timelines, and all of the difficulties that came with building a home during the COVID lockdown. She worked together with our builder and architect and thought about areas that I had not (like the best design for our kitchen cabinetry that would complement my cooking space, or where the lighting is best placed). I honestly, could not have done it without her. We highly recommend Tate Interiors!

My husband and I built our dream home in Montana while living in Chicago. We had a fabulous project team with the architect, builder and Tate Interiors for design - and the result is a beautiful, somewhat unique, really cool house. Initially we were not sure we needed a designer - but the decisions soon became overwhelming and I hired Heidi Tate. It's now hard to imagine how we could have done it without Heidi. Heidi quickly became deeply engaged in our project. She worked side by side with the builder and architect and literally thought about the design from the ground up. Heidi understood what we wanted and made it happen - greatly exceeding our expectations and helping us hit our budget targets in the process. When it came time for furnishings and artwork, Heidi used much of what we had, complimented them with new pieces, and created spaces that are beautiful, interesting, functional and comfortable. Everyday I look at some element of our house and I appreciate the talents and involvement of Tate Interiors. We enjoyed the entire process. It was a pleasure working with Heidi and Jodi. Tate Interiors has done 3 homes for us. A Mt. Lake house, a desert modern and Italian farmhouse. All total different styles and textures and all done beyond out expectations and below or at our budget. Heidi and Jodie rock!

Tate interiors is the BEST! We hired them to help us with femur nudging and decorating a new residence. Not only were they knowledgeable, professional and courteous, but they were very conscientious and aware of our needs and desires for the home. They completed the project in a very timely manner - leaving absolutely nothing unfinished. They were great listeners and highly capable of following through with every detail or request that we made. We highly recommend Tate Interiors.

Heidi is amazing!! She helped us with the interior finishes during construction of our home and the result is spectacular. She has an amazing sense of style and was able to make selections that are beautiful and fit our needs. She has a background in architecture and also helped with revisions to our floor plan. She had very practical input about the flow of our floor plan and made several suggestions that have really improved the design and function of our home. She is now helping us pick out furnishings. She does an excellent job finding high quality furnishings that are also practical for our lifestyle (3 pets and 2 little boys). I can't recommend her highly enough.

Heidi and Jodi have been great to work with! They both have a wonderful vision for design from mountain rustic to contemporary, including mixing different design styles. I look forward to working with them on future projects.

My husband and I contacted Tate Interiors as we finalized blueprints for a second home. We had a contractor, but knew that we would need someone to help with interior design. We hired Jodi Shirkey, at Tate, to lead that effort. As it turned out, Jodi did MUCH more than we ever anticipated. Because we live in another state and visited the site infrequently, she assisted us in the myriad issues which arose. Together, we selected all the finishes for the house. This included granite, tile, paint, hardware, doors, stain, plumbing and lighting. She made valuable contributions to bathroom, cabinetry, fireplace and staircase design. When asked by our contractor to make decisions, we relied on her expertise and judgement. As the construction phase ended, she helped us select furnishings for the home. Though we are detail oriented, we felt very comfortable with her guidance. She presented us with excellent options, and it was easy to make selections we will be happy with for years to come. We have worked with many wonderful designers in the past, but can honestly say that Jodi was by far the most committed. She took the time to understand our tastes and the style we wanted to achieve. She delivered a finished product that not only met our expectations, but achieved a higher level. Finally, she was incredibly pleasant to work with and stayed within our budget. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our relationship with Tate Interiors. Specifically, we worked with Jodi Shirkey. She was knowledgeable, experienced and totally professional at all times. While always being mindful of our budget, she created an end product that more than exceeded our expectations. We would recommend Tate interiors to anyone.

Heidi was marvelous to work with. She came to help us decide on colors for the entire interior of our home. She carefully looked at our interior, walking all around, holding up different paint samples, looking at the stones in the fireplace, kitchen tiles, flooring, cabinetry, carpeting. She suggested a couple different shades to try. When we got nervous about our decision (this was going to be a weeks-long, expensive job) , she was there to reassure us. She was absolutely right in the paint colors. We love them! The house now has an updated, warm glow and we are so very grateful to Heidi for her expertise, calm manner, and professionalism. We highly recommend her!

Heidi has amazing taste and all of her projects are carefully planned and they exceed many client's expectations. She is constantly researching and using creative, sustainable materials that displays her client's interests while also featuring important aspects of the home.

Heidi and Jodi was excellent to work with on one of our homes we built for a customer in Florida. The original interior designer selected for the project had difficulties and Heidi stepped in and took over immediately worked with us and the owners closely to select countertops, wallpaper, hardware, etc.. More importantly everything was organized, gave us all selections when we needed it. When a house has over 250 cabinet doors in 15 locations such as baths, laundry, kitchen, pantry... and over a hundred lights to hang, 10 different wallpapers to install, it is so important to coordinate with designers on finishing touches and items to a smallest details. I love their wall paper and furniture selections.
