My Wife and I hired this company to renovate our bathroom in December 2022. The sales staff told us it would take 4 weeks. It ended up taking between 5-6 months. At the end of the project there were multiple deficiencies that the owner refused to address and would not honour the warranty provided in their contract. They left a pile of garbage in my garage and despite numerous requests to pick it up, it was never done. Perhaps of most concern, there were other projects going on in our house at the same time and their employees or subcontractors were caught taking materials from other areas of the home and not just small things (plywood and sheets of dry wall). We have had to incur thousands of dollars in unnecessary additional expenses. Based on our experience, I feel a moral obligation to warn people against using this company.

Home Reno is a good company if you have unlimited time and money to spend on your project! The quote and completion date you are given are only estimates. Problem is they are not good at estimation and will charge you for that. They started renovating my house in June, 2022 with the completion estimation of 8-10 weeks. Today is January 4th and the house is far from complete. We were promised several times that they will make the second floor ready for us by the end of September to move back. Just empty promises. The renovation costs us much more than anticipated due to the extra rent we are paying and extra charges (e.g. dedicated lines, extra quartz etc) we were asked to pay. I can't make comments on their work quality as the project is not done yet but will update my post when they are done.

We initially hired Home Reno back on October 30th/2019 to fully renovate one and half bathrooms. The agreement of the job completion would only take a maximum of 4 weeks. That was far from the truth as it took over four months for them to complete the job and they were not consistently showing up. They left us without a shower for two months, so we used to go to my sister’s home every night to take a shower. First, they guaranteed that the grout for the stand-up shower would last 2 years + since they put sealing coat over it, however after less than a month it started to deteriorate. Secondly, the step up shower door does not fully close allowing for water to splash all over the bathroom. Also, they failed to inform us that the height of the cabinets is 12” while I was looking for 14” which is easier for our old mother.. Last but not least, for the touch-ups it took them again over 2 months because they continued not to show up consistently and when they did come, they would come at random times for only a short period of time. Overall, it was a horrible experience with this company and I was very unhappy with the service. Furthermore, the constant running around to figure out when they are coming next, to the numerous mistakes that should not have avoided is just unacceptable.

Just a great experience. Ramon and his team of designers, project MGR's and trades people are truly professionals. Highly recommend HomeReno Direct to anyone looking for some new very stylish designs. It was so nice to work with a company that cared about the job and the details so much.

Prior to approaching Home Reno, my husband and I made sure we did a fair amount of research on what to expect, who to hire and what to look for. This was brought on when we started thinking about doing Reno on our main floor. Since we moved to our house in 2000, we haven’t done any upgrade and felt it was time. We heard and read of bad experiences with Reno companies and we wanted to make sure we don’t end up in that situation. We came across Home Reno Direct through an ad in the mail. We did our research on the company, read reviews etc. and we were happy with the info we found. We were nervous at first but after meeting our design consultant Amer, we knew we were in good hands. Our experience over the last few months have been wonderful. Like with anything, there were a few bumps on the way but the end result was AMAZING!!! Home Reno exceeded our expectation. We never realized our kitchen and family room could look that good. It looked like one of the pics in a magazine. Amer’s design was absolutely on point. He captured what we had in mind and he came up with amazing ideas. We are extremely happy. We would like to thank the whole team of very talented tradespeople. Ali, Wyl, Dan, Paul, Barry, Tyler, Miro, Hussein, Rafael, Tony and of course our project manager Anita. If I missed anyone, I do apologize but thank them just the same. Home Reno Direct is a professional company that will meet and exceed all your expectations and standards. They are a friendly, professional, and customer oriented company that will help you design and customize the home of your dreams! What sold us on the project was their interior designer - Uzma. She was punctual, courteous, and knowledgeable in her field. She measured our home, took pictures, and listened to our home renovating ideas. She made suggestions of her own that we never considered, and utilized her ideas to improve the final design of our home project. We also like this company because they gave us a realistic cost of the project. They provided us with many estimates of the actual cost every time we added or subtracted materials or items. In regards to the materials, there are a variety of materials to select from the showroom and the catalogue. The materials are of high quality and met our satisfaction. We also liked the 3D computer software design they used. It really helped us visualize the completed project. Once the project commenced, we met with the project manager who communicated with us every step of the way. She would communicate with us on a daily basis - sometimes throughout the day - via text, e-mail, phone, and in person. She organized a monthly schedule that showcased when work was going to be completed. Every trades-person was in our home and they were each very honest, punctual, friendly, and hardworking. The estimated project time was 2 and a half months and it was completed 1-2 weeks over time. We think 1-2 weeks over the estimated time frame is a realistic encounter when you are renovating many parts to the home. Once the work was completed, we did have a walk through and we were happy with the results. After a week or so living in the home we found some areas that needed to be corrected and the company responded by phone and e-mail immediately (even during the holidays), they came as soon as they could and corrected all of our listed deficiencies. This company is here to stay! They are an honest and trustworthy company. All of their workmanship and materials have warranties, and they will return to correct any and all deficiencies to your satisfaction. I would recommend this company to my family and friends and will definitely contact them again for additional renovations!

We hired HomeReno to manage our master ensuite renovation. We had confidence in their abilities based on a few primary must haves (in my mind). Must have a track record, must have a "bricks and mortar" presence and must have a professional affiliation in the event of a dispute which required a third party participant. We did not require any dispute resolution as every item that came up "for discussion" was easily managed and resolved by Remon or Peter. I suspect that I was a bit of a "handful" for them, but I don't think unreasonable. The trades that were sent to our project were top notch and the results speak for themselves. We were on budget and on time.

When I decided that I wanted to remodel my kitchen and first-floor bathrooms, I knew the hardest decision I had to make was choosing a reputable company to do the job. I began searching online and couldn't find a company that seemed to resonate with me. I asked my sister-in-law if she had anyone she would recommend and she suggested to me Home Reno. I went into the showroom for a consultation and was helped immediately by their wonderful staff. I'm extremely picky about how I like things done and Home Reno worked with me to achieve my goals. They ended up doing an amazing job on my home and I couldn't be happier that I chose Home Reno.

We had a big renovation project ahead of us and with all the horror stories we had heard about the construction industry, we did an extensive homework. In the end, we selected HomeReno in October 2016. They worked closely with us through out the project from design to finish and made sure our expectations were met. That means a lot to us because we are quite particular about the process, workmanship and the quality of the final finish. Remoun is a personable director of the company who consistently listens to his clients' concerns and does his best to satisfy their needs. Like any other big renovation projects, we faced some hiccups, and challenges in meeting our tight timeline and budget but the line of communication was always open with HomeReno and in the end their commitment and support delivered a high quality reno. Our bathrooms and floors marvel any visitor to our home and we are quite proud of the job done. Last but not the least, they have honoured their warranty and service calls which is a great piece of mind for my family. A great investment with a reliable company.
