Having worked with Ralph for over 5 years now, I believe that I can say I know Ralph Hughes and HDC very well. Ralph has always carried himself in a professional manner and strives to give each of his clients what they want in their home. I've personally spent many hours with him on the jobsite with a homeowner well past "normal quitting time". He is always trying to make sure that his subcontractors do everything as close to perfect as they can to make sure the homeowners will be completely satisfied with their home. I would recommend Ralph Hughes to anyone looking to build or remodel their dream home.

Ralph Hughes redone my small ranch style house into a large 2 story home in 2000. The cost was adout $150,000. He added a carport and outdoor kitchen in 2014 for about $100,000..H e also redid a bedroom in 2014. I was very pleased with his work and his ease to do business with.

Hughes Orr did a complete interior remodel for us on a 33 year old house. Their ideas, workmanship, and the final outcome all exceeded all of our expectations. They are an excellent company to work with.

Easy to work with, listed to what I wanted, and built my family a wonderful house. Would definitely work with them again!

Ralph Hughes has designed and built two commercial buildings for my company. He also did a complete remodel of my residence. He has always completed the jobs on time and on budget. Mt company Steamatic of Hot Springs also does water, smoke and fire restoration. We have used Mr. Hughes' expertise in large loss residential and commercial projects. Our clients have always been pleased with his services.

Our dream home was completed in October of 2014 by Ralph Hughes. In January of 2015, we wrote a glowing review of his company. The building process was easy, communication was always easy and we had only a few issues during the process. The issues that we did have, some mold appearing on the stucco of the home, mold appearing downstairs, and mold appearing on an interior wall, we are being " taken care of" by Ralph and I honestly felt this was the case. Two years later, I must amend our previous review. After completion of the house and final payment to Ralph, our problems became pushed back and not addressed. This led me to having a home inspection done on which many problems were pointed out to me (some of which we had already complained about, some of which we weren't aware of). The crawlspace in the home had inadequate moisture control and led to mold forming in the lower level of the home. Ralph apologized and had someone come out to the house and put vents in the crawlspace (which were left untrimmed and looked awful for over a year). I covered the exposed ground myself and fixed the rest of the problems. The stucco has rust and mold forming all over it. One attempt to "touch up" the problem made the house look even worse. Any attempts to get it fixed after that have been repeatedly ignored by Ralph. When I finally got Ralph to send out his new stucco contractor, he informed me that only way the house would even look right is to resurface the entice exterior. All attempts to get Ralph to pay for this have been ignored. The mold inside the living room that Ralph first blamed on paint and had me repaint the wall, came back over and over. He said he would have the mold inspected by steamatic, but never did. Finally, I called steamatic myself. The wall has 100% moisture content and had water leaking straight in from the roof. Now the whole wall has to be torn out, insulation removed, the wall dried and treated for mold, and re dry-walled and painted. Ralph was given this report and now wants to send his drywall contractor to the house to tear it out, LEAVING THE MOLD EXPOSED TO MY LIVIMG AREA, to see where the water is coming in. Obviously you cannot allow mold to be exposed into a living area for health reasons, not to mention that removing the drywall will only cause the water leak to run directly into my living room. Two years of attempting to get Ralph to fix the problems in the home, and the matter is still not addressed. I would gladly show anyone looking to hire this company the kind of work they do first hand, as well as the repeated is ignored emails and lies told by Ralph Hughes promising to fix these issues. If you don't want a brand new "fixer-upper", stay clear of Hughes Orr group.

He is very thorough, professional, and a good listener,. Uses very professional subs that respect him. He stays on schedule. He is detailed-oriented and understands my vision. He charges a specific amount to do the job, which we know up-front, and he helps keep us on budget. There are no hidden costs and no surprises. He is as honest as the day is long!

HDC performed an extensive remodel and addition to our residence. HDC came on the job after it was started by another contractor that we terminated. Ralph was honest, dependable and completed the job without delay. Any issues that arose either during the construction or after were dealt with promptly and fairly. Ralph wasn't satisfied until we were. What more could you ask for in a contractor?

My husband and I decided to move to Hot Springs two years ago. Our realtor introduced us to Ralph, and we soon became not only his clients, but friends as well. Ralph conscientiously built our house on Lake Hamilton, closely listening to our desires and needs. Because we continued to live in MO during construction, Ralph frequently sent pictures and emails to keep us up to date and always in the loop. His experience and knowledge was invaluable to us and would not hesitate to recommend him to others.

This is the best builder in central Arkansas bar none. Ralph is an advocate for his clients and fair to his sub's. His word is always good , and the quality of his construction is superb.
