I hired Galo to do an extensive renovation to my Upper East Side condominium several years ago. As his expertise and quality of work are unmatched, I made the decision to hire Galo again, in July, for a second apartment project which focused on interior lighting design and several accent walls and doors. Galo and his accomplished team of contractors are perfectionists and will work endlessly to make certain the finished product is impeccable. This particular project included several beautifully lacquered accent walls as well as an entrance door to my powder room. Additionally, we decided to do a gorgeous leather hide on the interior of my front entrance door. Both the lacquer and leather installation were done with precision and far exceeded my original expectations. Galo has marvelous taste and we worked together to carefully select elegant new sconces for the primary bathroom as well as museum quality light fixtures above the fireplace that was installed in his original renovation. Galo is well accomplished, thorough, creative and able to work within most budgets. Very importantly, he's kind, thoughtful, an excellent listener ... and it's been a true pleasure to work closely with him on both design projects. Galo walked me through every single step of the process, was always in close touch and welcomed my input along the way. I truly couldn't be more proud of my finished home and would, without hesitation, recommend Galo and his talented team to anybody looking to do a renovation project. I'm absolutely thrilled with the finished product!

I hired Gallo last year for my apartment renovation, and honestly, I wasn't prepared for the transformation. This place, with its popcorn ceilings, hadn't been touched since probably the early 1980s. The renovation wasn't cheap. Actually, it cost more than initially budgeted (doesn't it always?). But without Gallo's design vision, I would have spent nearly as much money and ended up with mediocrity. He saw possibilities that I could not have imagined. He answers texts, shows up when he says he will, and handles the inevitable hiccups without drama. He helped me deal with the contractors to make sure that his vision was implemented correctly. He provides outstanding value, and I enthusiastically recommend him.

I am extremely disappointed with Galo Verdesoto. I'm disappointed because his profile states that he specializes in design. In my opinion, he is not an open minded thinker and tends to be controlling. He doesn't welcome the customers' vision and perspective with ease. Galo V. demonstrates very micromanaging traits that were not aligned with the design plan.

Galo helped me on three refurbishment projects. The total budget ranged from 100,000 to 500,000. The properties were done masterfully with all attention to detail. The project management was exceptional. The homes were all featured in magazines post completion. The improvements were durable and held up to time, young children and changing design sensibilities. I would recommend him without reservation.

Galo is the consummate professional and an absolute pleasure to work with! I retained him to completely reimagine and gut renovate my 3 bed 3 bath Manhattan condo and I am as excited to live here as when the project was completed. All who have visited our home tell us how beautiful it is. His designs and the quality of workmanship have withstood the test of time. Galo Verdesoto was the architect for a client of mine whose apartment I was selling. There is no doubt that the caliber of his work and his aesthetic sensibility was the reason for the enormous interest in the apartment and the reason the property received a premium price. I was so impressed with his work that I have since referred him to multiple clients who have been equally impressed with his work. He’s a true talent.

Galo did a terrific job taking my initial thoughts regarding changes to my apartment and turning it into a truly first class transformation. We ended up doing a gut renovation of my 2 bedroom condo. I used contractors he recommended, and the project was effectively on time and on budget. His vision added important touches that made the difference between mere improvements and a renovation that turned the space into a showpiece. It is not enough to just have some ideas and hire your own contractor. It is better to hire someone who has a vision and can manage the project for you.
