My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

I was referred to Forney + architecture by a mutual architect friend. Even though I have been in the commercial general contracting business for over 40 years, I did not have a relationship with a residential architect. My experience was excellent. Jessica listened, responded timely and came to the table with creative ideas. I would definitely use them again and would recommend them for any project you may be considering.

We built our very first ( and so far, only) home with Michael Cyr of Forney+. We were pleased with the creativity and accuracy displayed during both the planning and building process and overjoyed at the result. Michael was with us every step of the way and always presented options that contributed to the final success. We would engage Michael Cyr and Forney+ if we ever decided to build another home.

We recently completed construction of our "forever" home and its everything we hoped for. Of course, we had an excellent builder but the key was working with Michael Cyr from Forney. As anyone who has built from the ground up knows, the most important factor is working with a great architect who can bring the vision in your mind to the drawings. Michael was terrific. He was always available, listened intently and worked with me throughout the process to bring our vision to reality. I know I was very particular along the journey, but Michael was very patient with me and wanted to make everything just right....and he did so. And importantly, Michael worked closely with our builder the whole way. This will be our last construction job, but if we were doing it again, I would want Michael on my team. ~ Barb and Steve

My wife and I recently completed a 2 year project which involved a complete rehabilitation of our 90 year old house. We assembled a team that included a builder, a designer, some trusted trade contractors and, most fortunately, Jane Ann Forney and her team. During the process leading into this project we were very aware that our goals were ambitious and that a remodel like this could easily skid off the track but that never happened and Jane Ann was a big part of it. Jane Ann listened, she understood and she dreamed along with us. But she was also pragmatic, detail oriented and never afraid to speak truthfully to us even when she knew we might not like it. The final design respected the history of our house while incorporating every update and nod to the expectations of modern living that we hoped for while also being respectful of our budget. Then, throughout the project, Jane Ann and her team maintained their presence as a resource to the builder and trades whenever direction was required. It is worth noting that the plans were nicely done and fully documented so they sailed through the permitting process and were easily understood by the builder and trades so we got the result we wanted with no surprises. If we ever undertake another project we will engage Jane Ann without a moment of hesitation, we routinely recommend her to our friends and all who ask.

Jane Ann helped us revitalize an 1850's historical house in Kirkwood to both bring back its original character and add modern functionality. While my wife and I had a grand vision of what the house could be, Jane Ann was able to turn that vision into real workable plans that incorporated the features and historical touches to give the house new life. Jane Ann was very easy to work with, she listened to our thoughts & ideas then incorporated her expertise to quickly provide sketches that were then refined feature by feature into the finished design. Jane Ann included many thoughtful additions & details that made the final plans a truly complete design and her knowledge of what the Architectural Review Board & Landmarks Committee would be looking for made the permitting process with the city go smoothly.
