So this review is long overdue but should not diminish the value or sincerity with which it is written. Jen and Liz were simply AMAZING and FUN to work with. We had a major structural renovation and extension of our kitchen, mudroom/laundry, full bathroom and family room. From start to finish Tiny Anchors were invested and creative and so easy to work with. We began with ideas on where to move and open walls, how to design the layout and shape of extension, select stone, cabinets and hardware, plumbing fixtures, and finally ending with lighting and furniture. This complicated project took almost two years and every meeting and visit to vendors for tile or lighting was exciting and enjoyable. Jen and Liz are able to listen and interpret our ideas and put them into reality. They gracefully balanced different styles and personal preferences, and integrated them seamlessly into each of our spaces. Jen was so patient with our change requests and need to visualize multiple options. They also worked very well with vendors and contractors in a professional, courteous and pleasant manner. I was entirely comfortable with them representing my husband and I. When the inevitable problems arose during construction, Jen and Liz quickly helped resolve and recommend solutions that held true to our design objectives. We can't say enough about how wonderful it was working with Tiny Anchor Studios. After deciding to tackle the renovation of an outdated 1950s bathroom, it hit us that we didn't know where to even start to look for everything. After initial discussions with Liz and discussing our desire to keep a Victorian-like design to go with the house, she gave us options for everything from the vanity down to the toilet paper holder. And after all the decisions were made, Liz sent us pictures of the final design, from all angles, including the paint colors we chose for the walls. We couldn't have done it without them!

I can’t say enough great things about the team at Tiny Anchor Studios! We worked with this dynamic duo over a year ago on two bathroom remodels and are still very happy with that choice. Jen and Liz take the time to listen and share expert knowledge that allows for the delivery of a space you have no regrets about. Our bathroom has been transformed! I was a little nervous about this one given I live in Phoenix and Tiny Anchor Studios is based out of Philadelphia, and yet this project turned out great. Jen’s communication between us and the contractors made all of the difference. We have a tiny master bathroom, which was very outdated when we moved in. Storage was a big concern because of the size. It was all the small changes that makes my bathroom seem bigger. A larger, recessed mirror cabinet, the vanity, and most importantly the tile. I was hesitant when Jen suggested placing the tile all the way to the ceiling in the shower, in addition to covering one of the walls and now that’s one of my favorite parts.

Jen and Liz are so easy to work with! They helped me with the layout/design of my kitchen and I am so grateful for their help! My kitchen is now my favorite place. I highly recommend Tiny Anchor!

We had the pleasure of working with Jen on our kitchen project about two years ago. She was amazing and helped guide us throughout all of the decisions. She listened to what we wanted and found accents to compliment our style. Jen was available, knowledgeable and easy to work with.

We worked with Jen and Liz on the design process of our new construction home and selecting materials and fixtures for the entire house. They were super attentive during the process and the meetings/screen shares we hosted via zoom were super effective. We were able to make real-time updates to the design in the computer software they use and it really helped us make decisions and see what different materials and layouts looked like in 3D. The end product looked just like the version in the software! Tiny Anchor did a great job helping us move our new construction process forward by working directly with our builder and suppliers like our custom cabinetry, tile, and fixtures. Definitely appreciated having them by our side while navigating the new construction process!

Jen and Liz are truly professionals. With their expert guidance and beautiful taste, we were able to design a home that was both practical for our young family but also tastefully finished to our unique style and budget. We worked with Tiny Anchors to create our new build from the ground up, maximizing function and flow. It was very important to my husband and I have to open sight lines and to create a comfortable space to relax and entertain. These ladies are great with communication and they are willing to go above and beyond for their clients. Having lived through this experience from states away, I can attest to their diligence and resourcefulness. Our home project would not have been successful without their flexibility, openness, and passion for what they do!

OK this is a rather lengthy review but the conclusion will be the following: Jen is a competent designer and a complete professional and I think that anyone who uses her would be able to trust in her work and ultimately be happy with the finished product. That being said the job I experienced was not what I would call normal. The story goes like this: I had a complete master bath renovation that took place in the months right before Covid. This included installation of a full steam shower and reconfiguration of a few structural elements including some walls. The job was finished on time and everything was functioning nicely. About two months after installation I started to experience some mild discoloration of the tile on two of the walls in areas in scattered locations. I texted Jen the appearance of these and she very openly said that this was not normal. We contacted the tile company and to make a long story short we were dealing with an entire lot of defective tile. Jen and the contractor on the job, Without even involving my homeowners insurance Jen and the contractor were able to arrange compensation for the job from the tile company. Then in a timely fashion the entire of areas of affected tile were removed and reinstalled. Since I’ve been Using this steam shower frequently and it’s absolutely fantastic. So in conclusion I think Jen does great design work. And if something doesn’t go perfectly, I think she can address it In a timely and effective manner. 5/5 stars

Jen Laurens has been a delight to work with on the many big and little projects I presented to her. From my mid-century tri-level gut job remodel of my home in PA to our high rise condo in downtown Chicago, she is able to adapt and meet the creative needs of each property regardless of its location. I am not a novice when it comes to remodels, but Jen is able to distill my many snapshot ideas to a beautiful panoramic vision. Hardworking, innovative and responsive are some of her key attributes – and did I say she LOVES her work?

During our whole house renovation, we were left in a lurch by our designer and her choice of semi-custom cabinet company. We needed our cabinets in a hurry so we reached out to Jen. She was able to design a beautiful custom cabinet kitchen, bar area, and all of our bathroom cabinets at a lower price than we were quoted from the semi-custom cabinet company. She listened to what we liked and was able to pull together exactly what we were looking for. Jen also gave us ideas that we would have never thought of for storage and design. She worked with us quickly and came out to our project numerous times and met us where we were to verify colors, hardware, design, etc. She also communicated with us frequently and promptly answered any questions we had, plus she was always a joy to work with! We now have beautiful custom kitchen, bathroom and bar cabinets that are top quality. We highly recommend Tiny Anchor Studios.

Jen has been amazing. Her process makes sure you feel like your style is incorporated into every design from start to finish. I also was super happy with the fact that she didn't disappear once final designs were handed over. She's provided on-going advice on different things that we're looking to tweak in terms of final finishes. On top of it all, she's super easy, accessible, and pleasant to work with. Would highly recommend!
