I originally contacted JJB Home Improvements for replacement siding and windows. During my initial meeting, I explained to Chris that I also wanted to add a front portico, stone veneer, and replace my existing deck with a concrete patio. Chris spoke highly of JJB Home Improvements and assured me the company could complete my entire exterior renovation. Having one company manage the entire project was the main reason I chose JJB. Chris brought Rob to inspect my project, and we continued discussing the scope of work while I waited for estimates and the next steps. Based on everything I was told, I believed I was moving forward with JJB, so I turned down another company. After nearly two months of waiting for estimates and to move forward with my project, I was shocked when Rob informed me that my project was no longer a JJB Home Improvements project and would instead be handled by him. This was the first time anyone had communicated that to me. When I contacted Chris for an explanation, I never received one. Instead, I was referred to the owner, Joe. Joe explained that JJB was going through internal changes. While I understand that businesses go through changes, those changes should never affect a customer’s project without their knowledge. Joe also told me that even if my project was being handled outside of JJB, everyone still worked together and used JJB’s contractors. Despite everything that had happened, I was still asked if I wanted to move forward. I explained that I wanted a professional written proposal and contract, not estimates sent through text messages. Instead of providing a professional proposal, I was informed that Chris was no longer interested in taking on my project and that moving forward would result in delays because Rob did not have the labor resources he had planned to use. This directly contradicted Joe’s explanation that everyone still worked together and used JJB’s contractors. Those conflicting explanations left me confused about who was actually responsible for my project and whether JJB ever had the resources in place to complete it as originally represented. After investing nearly two months, I had no choice but to start over with trying to find another company. My biggest concern is not that the project didn’t move forward, it’s the lack of transparency, communication, and accountability throughout the process. JJB’s website presents the company as a professional organization capable of managing projects from start to finish and emphasizes transparency. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. Based on my experience, I was surprised that a company with an “A” BBB rating handled my project this way. The level of transparency, communication, and professionalism I experienced did not match what I expected from a business with that rating. If you’re considering JJB Home Improvements, I strongly recommend asking who will actually be managing your project, who you will be contracting with.

Rob helped us with our dream backyard from concept to finish. He came out to our home as many times as it took to get a feel for our space and what we wanted. He designed an artful patio - not your run-of-the-mill, square, copy and paste patio - and worked hard to bring it to life. He did repairs to our home, gave us expert advice, and oversaw the concrete pouring. He was always immediately accessible to communicate and was very easy to work with. Thank you for our patio, Rob!

Rob is an incredible designer and is passionate about creating an amazing space. He elevates the space through his attention to all the details that take a space from good to stunning, through lighting, tile, cabinets, and function. He offers samples and guidance along the way to make the process so much easier, but also allows you to help create and be a part of the process. He listens to how you would like to use the space, and adds elements that you would like to see. We were looking for a finished basement with bedrooms, a bathroom, a workout room and a bar. He was so creative in how he was able to design all we were hoping to see. A couple of our favorites is how he changed our entire view of a traditional bar area, into this incredible gathering spot. He also incorporated archways into the space, which was something I had seen and loved. We truly love our space, and love having people over to enjoy it. We definitely recommend Rob to help design your space.

Rob always took the time to listen so that he could understand our desires and taste and then matched those with top-notch design. Because his design sense it second to none, Rob can be trusted to find just the right fixture, cabinet handle, (you name it) that will coordinate beautifully with all other elements in the remodel and the remainder of your home. Rob is swift to answer any questions and address and any concerns you might have. He always explains and answers the "why" in addition to the "what." Rob uses only quality materials and works with strict attention to detail and design. Everyone who comes to our home complements the craftsmanship and design of our remodels. Every day we just feel great in our own home; we love it! We would recommend Rob to anyone - hands down. In fact, he did a relative's bathroom remodel and that turned out amazing, too!

Rob has a great eye for design and is very creative. He was able to provide us with 3D renderings so we could see what the finished product would look like. He made a custom fireplace mantle for us and provided some really unique tile and lighting options for us. Rob is a perfectionist and will work at something until it's perfect.

Rob does outstanding work! If you are lucky enough to have him managing your project you can sleep easy at night knowing that your project is being managed honestly and well. He helped me through a major renovation with many twists and turns and he stood by his work and made it right when even the smallest thing was out of place.

We hired METRO R3 to complete a small bathroom renovation on the first floor. Rob and his team were detail oriented, responsive to our questions and completed the project in just a few short weeks. I would hire METRO R3 again for future projects.
